I purchased a car from Greenpoint Car sales in June 2022 and within minutes of driving it away a serious coolant warning appeared. Over the following weeks, both a Volvo main dealer and an independent mechanic confirmed significant faults with the engine. My attempts to resolve the issue directly with the dealer were unsuccessful and so I exercised my ‘30 day’ short term right to reject Under the consumer rights act of 1st October 2015. I lodged the matter with Trading Standards and pursued the case (successfully) through the Small Claims Court. The process took years and was only recently concluded but was nonetheless worthwhile.
I dealt directly with an employee of Greenpoint Car sales throughout, and after the issues arose, I later discovered publicly available news articles about his alleged past business-related convictions. I would absolutely encourage potential buyers to research thoroughly, obtain independent inspections, and be aware of their consumer rights before even considering proceeding with a purchase.

Great company. Found a Discovery 3 which was delivered by Richard the next day. All great and then a wheel bearing went. True to their word, Will came and picked up the car and had it repaired within the same week. Just returned from a 1500 mile France trip, which was why we needed the Disco in the first place, and the car was brilliant. An honest company with excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Do NOT buy a car from this business they do not honour there car sales agreements in any way. Very disappointing.
Unable to provide a new clutch or offer adequate compensation and then I put the car in to a garage to have clutch replaced at my cost of 1600:00 and to then be told that the car could have caught fire at anytime and to have the repair carried out would cost me another 260.00.
This car was under guarantee for six months and greenpoint car sales didn’t want to know.
Stay well clear of them.

Spotted a Volvo V70 through AutoTrader which Greenpoint was advertising. William responded immediately and comprehensively to my message enquiry, and within a few hours we had done the deal by phone for its purchase. William delivered it all the way from Epping to Dorset personally, and the car was beautifully presented, exactly as advertised. When it developed an intermittent power steering issue soon after delivery, Richard committed without hesitation to resolving it, and he then made the long trip from Epping to Dorset, taking the V70 away but leaving me with a more than suitable loan replacement. The problem was diagnosed and fixed, and the V70 was then returned to me in A1 condition. I have nothing but praise for Greenpoint - their pricing is fair, they are totally professional to deal with, and as demonstrated here, they don't walk away from problems as some others might attempt to do. I would but from them again, and thoroughly rìecommend them to anyone looking for a quality, great value used vehicle

Truthful and honest description. I purchased a lovely jaguar from Richard and his son. He drove 4 hrs to deliver it to my door at no extra charge. Great people to deal with.car is exactly has he discribed and we love it

Well I hope that you’re clutch doesn’t go and I would have a your electrics checked as the guarantee they give means nothing
