Bought car in August 20 with only 5 months M o T. Hamid promised to renew for 12 months in Jan 21. Due to lockdown had to have M o T done locally (Stoke on Trent) in order to continue driving the vehicle. Car failed and cost me £235.00. I emailed Hamid on 2 occasions in Jan. with copy of invoice, not to demand payment but to ask politely if he would honour the deal and reimburse me. To date I have received no reply to either emails. On purchase Hamid was very pleasant and accommodating but after sales in my experience leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I have bought both myself (Mercedes and Renault estate) and my wife’s (Citroen) cars from H Alpino Cars. They are knowledgable and offer a great price. The staff are friendly and happy to help with no fuss or pressure. I can highly recommend.

I have been dealing with H Alpino Cars for over 12 years and during that time we have bought 7 cars for the family from them. Never had a problem with the service or the cars which were keenly priced. Specialises in ex motability and old but low mileage Audis, Mercs and BMWs. Give them a try at the very least.

Was going to buy a car from a distance from H Alpino Cars, then read the reviews which made me check the car. All sorts of anomalies. Asked several basic questions and could not get answers. Mileage did not match the check, DVLA error they said. Claimed tyres were all good two had just 2mm and they said they replace one. Just too many things did not add up and the answers were no reassuring. They might be okay but for me it rang alarm bells. I had arranged a flight to Manchester but happy to write off £100 cost as learning outcome. You might have better luck, then again....

Emailed this dealer asking for their best price on a car, got an email back inviting me to make an offer, which I did (£1,000 below advertised price). They replied saying they accepted my offer, a further reply from me to clarify a spec prompted this reply "We were only testing you, We will not sell this car for £7.000, We get lots of dreamers making silly offers" How professional! Stay well clear.

Avoid this dealer (H Alpino Cars Ltd) like the plague. Bought a Volkswagen Golf off him and apart from getting your money all he is interested in is swapping wheels between his cars. My car developed a fault within a few days and he turned nasty when things weren't going his way. I found out that whilst in his care, warning lights had been tampered with to give the impression the car was OK. I had to get Trading Standards involved but still out of pocket. AVOID H ALPINO CARS AT ALL COSTS.

Ok, so I put a £500 deposit on a car after seeing it - it looked lovely to be fair, the only issue was that it had a date written on the engine which couldn't be explained. Shortly after paying the deposit I followed up with a mail covering the points we had agreed would be covered before I picked it up. I received a phone call from the owner who told me aggressively that he 'didn't respond to confrontational emails like this'. Following this conversation I looked up reviews - to my horror.. The next morning after consulting with consumer advice, I called the owner and asked for my deposit back, and .... it was returned with no issue whatsoever. I have no idea how genuine the car was, or whether any warranty would have been upheld, but to give the guy his due, at least he gave my my money back at once, and apologized for his phone call. Lucky escape or panic over nothing?? Not sure..
