Bought a very clean older Honda CRV From Bows great friendly service very helpful. Gave me plenty of time to drive and view the car with no pressure sorted minor problem with brakes before i collect it good value for money
Having dealt with Mr B over the last 12 years, with 2 cars of my own and 1 for my son, All bought at Bows Car Sales, i find myself scratching my head by some of the reviews. I found the after sales service second to none and nothing was too much trouble in rectifying a small problem which cropped up. I am now on the lookout for a newer car and will have no reserves about contacting Harry again.
HF Bows are what I would call proper used car dealers - no frills, no pressure and down-to-earth, straight talking people. They have been around for a long time so they must be doing something right. The car I bought from them had very low mileage for the year, was in really good nick for a vehicle that age and had the added bonus of a full dealer service history. I was able to inspect it for as long as I liked and took it for a decent test drive. After buying it, took it to my local garage man (as I always do) just to check if I had missed anything and he said it was a really good motor. Personally I would have no hesitation in buying from them again.

Harry was so patient when we had problems getting the money for the car. He was also very helpful with ideas as well. Eventually we went over to Sheffield to get the car as a surprise for my daughter. The car was clean and had been MOT,d. The chap who was there when we got there was lovely and friendly.My daughter is thrilled with it. We will definitely check out what he has got in next time we need a car. Highly recommended!

I have purchased a few cars from HF Bows over the years and have found them to be very helpful and honest. Have no hesitation in recommending to others and have done so to a few family members who have also bought cars from here.
Bought a car of this dealer and had for 3 weeks. The car ended up with 3 faults. Took back for refund which I was told he couldn't. Car went in garage came back out and still faulty. After persistant asking for refund I was entitled to he eventually gave me a full refund. Customer service was Nil and was trying his hardest not to give us our money back.

Unfortunately they was what turned out to be a very minor fault with the car and the buyer did bring the car back. As with all second hand cars they is times where they may be an unknown fault. However at HF Bows we will always resolve the issue. In this case we sent the car to a main dealer for diagnostics however the buyer was unwilling to wait for us to find the fault or put it right. As a result we refunded the customer in full.
Sold an insurance write-off as car without accident. We were new to the UK and did not know that we could check a car's history on the Internet. HF Bows Motor Sales shamelessly exploited the situation and, despite we were asking explicitly whether the car had been involved in an accident, confirmed that it had never had one. We only found out when we wanted to sell the car a year later to a dealer who checked its history. In fact the car was an insurance write-off, so the damage had been severe.

At the time of purchase the buyer was made fully aware regards the history of the car and it was also clearly wrote on the buyers sales invoice at the time of purchase. We do not usually deal with cars that have some history however this car was of the highest standard. The issue at the time was that the buyers first language was not english and they was some communication issues however we did ensure he was aware of the facts. The buyer used the car for 4 years without issue and then came back demanding we buy the car back at the full purchase price he paid 4 years earlier. We made every effort to try and help the buyer who was very difficult and in the end we called trading standards ourselves to resolve the issue. Trading standards looked into this can told us we have done nothing wrong and the sale was legal and the buyer was aware of the car. As a result this buyer now 4 years later is trying to use black mail to get us to buy back the car at full purchase price by leaving bad reviews like this.
