Matt was very responsive and helpful. I went to see the car and he let me have a look at it in my own time without pressuring me. All in all a very straightfoward stress free process.
My daughter bought a Nissan Juke 5 weeks ago and it’s had to go to the garage already with a problem it had when we 1st bought the car,I sent Matt videos off the problem about a day or two after which he knew about the problem anyway and he said just use some wd40 on it which I wasn’t happy about so it went to the garage had work done which cost my daughter £100 after paying £5000 he did say bring it back but it’s a long drive and waiting there all day on her own she’s only 21 and would off been stood around with nowhere to go so that’s why I got it into my local garage..Matt was fine when we got there very helpful but once there’s an issue he wouldn’t even meet half way with the cost which should off been down to him to sort out as the car hasn’t been with us long...he did say the bill would be cheaper to repair the car locally because you would spend that on driving there and back..very upset with the response once the car was sold and the aftercare...

I am really truly sorry you are disappointed with us for not agreeing to pay your mecanic so you could have him inspect your car that we knew was ok. I have put a lot of time and effort into trying to reassure you the car is fine despite your several concerns over the last few weeks which your mecanic today has clarified were ALL unfounded. The facts are that the car did not leave us with any fault and I spoke with your mecanic today and he assured me there was nothing wrong with the car, it just had a squeaky fan belt and just as i had told you on several occasions the car is fine. I have offered on more than one occassion when you called with concerns offer to inspect the car with you for your peace of mind but you didnt want to bring the car back to us. You have rung a few times with various complaints and initially said that there was an issue with dash lights that you then realised was just the sun shining on the dash and was not a fault at all. You then later said the car was over reving which was actually just the choke on from cold as it should be. You then said the timing chain was rattling and once you took it to your local mecanic he assured you as had we that there was no problem with the car just a squeaky fan belt, which I rightly said wd40 would probably cure. The mecanic you chose to go to obviously and rightly charged you for the time he spent inspecting the car that turned out NOT to have any of the issues you thought it had. You also had him replace the squeeky fan belt which hadnt failed or broken . I have politely and patiently answered all your texts and calls and reassured you the car has no major faults as you were worried and now 2 different mecanics have inspected the car and both agree it is ok. If the car HAD had a fault we would have covered it under the warranty as we discussed and your mecanic has agreed he will do any repair work necessary if the car Does develop any major issues. I am really dissapointed to have received a 2 star review when ive done nothing but try to reassure you of what has now been confirmed by your mecanic. We sent the car out with a new mot with no advisories and a service and re cleaned the car that you commented was stunning! As I have said I am sorry you are dissapointed but glad that your own mecanic has now confirmed everything I told you a d the car is fine. I hope your daughter continues to enjoy the car as you told me how much she's loving it Kind regards Matt

Hi Matt, Thank for the reply..interesting to note after reviewing all your negative reviews that at no point have you ever acknowledged that actually at some point the points raised were validated...on the balance of probability this seems to be highly irregular as at some point a customers complaint will be valid, yet in Hallmark’s case this never seems to be the case and as such the odds relating to this would say that this is somewhat out of kilter.?. I have your own video where the fan belt noise is clearly audible and will share this..to say there was no problem yet advise spraying with WD40 which (incidentally is a cowboy fix for a squealing fan belt) seems a contradiction in terms? You have spent more time replying to an issue we had and adding additional items the trying to sort the problem.....again this speaks volumes.... My daughter raised several concerns all,of which in her opinion were genuine, to which you responded..all of which have no relevance to our feedback left regarding the fan belt.... You went to great lengths to sling mud and try and detract from the feedback we left relating to the fan belt and only the fan belt..your response turned to petulance and detraction. Fact....your own video of the car raised concerns around the squeaking sound from the fan belt....let me be clear that was your video..not ours....two days later this was questioned...your reply..spray WD40 on it..it’s fine...fact! No surprises..just genuine customer concerns...Yes we had other concerns which you cleared up for us.....if as you say there was no problem with the car, why have I just had to replace the fan belt? You spoke to the garage who did it..yet you have the audacity to say there was nothing wrong with the car?......why should we have to claim on a warranty for a pre existing condition?....we have paid the sad thing is at no point during reviews of any customer complaints have you admitted that maybe the complaint was valid......like I say the odds of this are minimal to zero to say the least. We left a review around the fan belt......yet you chose to throw everything bar the kitchen sink back as a reply......this speaks volumes....Please don’t try and come across as a courteous dealer..then respond like this ...genuine complaint, non spurious review based upon genuine customer experience resulting in a petulant mud slinging reply as can be seen with other complaints......bit of a pattern here......and everyone can’t be wrong........to the point you end up putting yourself into the “2nd hand car dealer stereotype”....your doing...not ours..........Hallmark cars...where complaints are not accepted.....it’s as simple as that...demonstrated by your overly defensive response.....well done.....
I bought my first car from Matthew at Hallmark. He was very friendly and helpful throughout the process and the service with the car was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, I could look around the car at my own leisure, test drive, MOT and oil service, half a tank of petrol put in and any concerns checked before I collected it. Very happy with my purchase, great value and quality, Matthew was very professional and didn't pressure me at all. Process was very easy and straightforward, I would highly recommend. Enquired about a vehicle online,Matt sent me a full video tour of the car,we then arranged to go over with the intention of test driving it however when we arrived we saw a different vehicle which we test drove and decided to buy,there was a slight problem with the radio which Matt promptly had the problem sorted out.We would highly recommend Hallmark cars to anyone,it was an extremely pleasant experience dealing with Matt and Ash,there is no pressure at all,..A+++..Dave Edmondson
