At first things seemed great I saw a car I liked but once I went to collect the car I noticed the engine management light on, when I told them about this they told me it was a fault with the electrics, after I had the car a day white smoke was coming from the exhaust, I plugged my obd2 scanner into the car which advised me that there was of a cylinder misfire which I sent a picture of via WhatsApp, they then had the cheek to phone me back and tell me nothing was wrong and no errors were coming up until I pointed out I had already sent them a picture of this, they said it was a faulty fuel injector after another look, then they told me they would have to strip the engine down to see if there was any more damage at this point I had, had enough, I told them I would return the documents and i was officially rejecting the car, 2 month later they still have paid back the money to the lender and constantly telling me the director isn't in, I'm at my wits end, please anyone considering a car from here, run ! It's not worth the hassle I'm stuck in an agreement now that's currently unwinding and has been for over 3 weeks now

HAMILTON CAR SALES IS A SHOCKING GARAGE AND HAD CRAZY CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDES. OWNER LIED TO ME ABOUT DRIVING ONE OF MY CARS BACK TO MY HOUSE WITHOUT A MOT,HE ASSURED ME IT WAS LEGAL ,HE HAS BEEN IN THE TRADE FOR MANY YEARS AND KNOWS THE LAW WELL...WELL NO ITS AN OFFENCE TO DRIVE HOME WITHOUT VALID MOT.So you can imagine dealing with this guys,THEY DO NOT CARE.. Stephen and the his co partner are very unprofessional when it comes to running a business.The repairs are below standard with the customer service. The garage/reception is Dirty,Unorganised,Unfriendly, ALL the cars here for sale are filthy??also they lost my quote sheet,my mot sheet and anything to do with my car over the period of 2-3days.it was a joke the time spent waiting each visit for paperwork that no one from receptionist or mechanic could find. THE VISITED THE GARAGE TODAY AFTER REPAIRS DONE,AS MY BACK LIGHT WASNT WORKING AFTER REPAIR,AGAIN TO ONLY FINE THEY HAD CHARGED ME £25 TO PUT INSULATION TAPE AROUND A WIRE! AFTER I FOUND THIS OUT I ASKED STEPHEN.WHAT WAS THE REPAIR YOU DONE TO MY BACK LIGHT.IT WAS VERY DIFFERENT TO WHAT HE EXPLAINED ON THE DAY OF PAYING THE BILL!AFTER PAYING THE BILL THAT DAY AND LEAVING THE GARAGE THE LIGHT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I ASKED STEPHEN ABOUT IT,HE SAID SOMEONE ELSE HAS REPAIRED THE LIGHT IN THE PAST SO HE JUST TAPED IT UP!AFTER EING FOUND OUT STEPHENS ATTITUDE CHANGED INSTANSTLY TO AGGRESSIVENESS,STEPHEN SAYING I DONT APPRECIATE YOU SAYING I DID A BAD REPAIR..HOLD ON A MIN NO ONE MENTIONED YOU DONE A BAD REPAIR,STEPHEN WAS ASKED A FEW SIMPLY RIGHTYFULLY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE REPAIR ON MY CAR WHICH I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO. WHEN I CAME BACK IN TO THE GARAGE TO SEE ABOUT WHATS HAPPENING,STEPHEN OPENED UP MY REAR LIGHT UNIT AND AFTER AGAIN I QUESTIONED HIM ON THE REPAIR,HE SAID ALOT OF EXCUSES AND LEFTMY LIGHT HANGING OUT THE BACK OF THE CAR IN CARPARK AND THEN SIMPLY WALKED OFF BACK INTO THE GARAGE REFUSING TO PUT IT BACK IN.I HAD TO REINSTALL THE LIGHT MYSELF TO DRIVE AWAY AGAIN..

The cars been good from Hamilton car sales, the service was a bit slow but I got the car I wanted in the end. Recommend

I bought a Megane from here in August. The car was pretty clean and in good condition and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. There was a small cosmetic issue that they said they would sort before I collected the car and they didn't so they loose points for that but other than that I am happy with the car and service.
