I 100% urge you guys not to purchase a car from this company, spend your hard earned money with respectful dealers elsewhere these clowns are lying deceitful un trustworthy con artists and they have gotten good at it. If there are any problems after you get your car they will 100% give you the run a round and not resolve anything trust me please read the other 1 star reviews. I wish I had given these people a miss I purchased a car from them back in April, originally they seemed absolutely fine and couldn't do enough for us. That was until we received the car. When we received our car there were a few issues that I reported to them straight away. The first being damage to one of the alloy wheels that was definitely not pointed out to us when purchasing the car the damage was blamed on the delivery company and I was assured something was going to be done to rectify this. Then the 2nd issue was we received 2 keys with our car as per the advert but what I soon realised was that the 2nd key did not work and actually was for a completely different car?? How does that happen! Neil the sales person I was dealing with was completely shocked at how this (mistake) could have happened and was looking straight into it! absolute lies. Fast forward 3 months and we still have a damaged alloy and only one key for the car. I have been spun so many lies and stories its unbelievable. They will tell you that they will sort out any problems and that they are a reputable company but the proof is in the end result, sure they have good reviews and happy customers but those i believe are lucky as they had no problems. Where you want a decent company is if there are any unforseen issues which is a possibility with any car that you buy, that you can trust them to put it right after all you are spending a considerable amount of money on what could possibly be your dream car, this company is NOT the company to put any kind of trust in, 3 months and they have done absolutely nothing to rectify our problems that speaks volumes. I have a chased these people multiple times with texts emails and phone calls I have been given fake assurances by Matt the aftersales person that he is sorting out our problems but in reality he is hoping I give up and go away as he knows that there is nothing we can really do. They set an appointment with Audi that they didn't even tell me about I had to take the day off work to get a new key, but they hadn’t ordered the key, when we spoke to Audi they said payment hadn’t been made even though multiple emails had been sent chasing, then when we spoke to Matt he denied receiving any emails from Audi and proceeded to fob us of saying he would do the necessary with Audi, but did not do so! So the appointment was cancelled and I was left having taken the day off work at even more of a loss and out of pocket with no apology. Regarding the wheel they asked for three quotes which we got and we have had no response. We’ve been very flexible and offered in lots of ways to meet them halfway. It’s incredibly frustrating and shows a complete lack of care once they’ve made the sale. If you buy a car and there are no problems you may be fine however if anything goes or appears wrong after, you will get the run around and ultimately no resolution is it worth the risk! Thanks Hitchfields for making what should have been a good experience an absolute misery off stress.

After driving for 4 hours and then waiting almost another 2 hours to be seen to (after being told they would be 2 mins) I was instantly hit with “you car is different to the pics”. I knew at this moment they were about to withdraw the offer they had already made and to lowball me. He then left and half an hour later decided to come look at the car again. He took over £3000 off the offer as he claimed I didn’t tell him about the damage. I did. He has the pictures and messages and if there were issues with the pictures why not mention before you sent me an offer? He starts going on about how it needs new bumpers, wings, mirror caps (I will give him that one) because you can’t touch them up. I had to interject and let him know I work in the industry and to stop lying to me. I think this is when things went sour. They accused me of lying and trying to hide the damage on the car. I had sent the salesman himself pictures of the car and a separate message about the damage plus it’s an 11 year old car. It’s going to have wear and tear. Plus the fact I was taking the car for them to view..there was no gain for me to lie about my car. The manager claimed it was because it was wet in the pictures. Again why not mention this at the time? It would have saved many problems. He also did not know the salesman had agreed that if I liked the car I would be taking it home that day as I live too far away to go back and forth. That was when I was informed the car wasn’t even prepped!! why had your salesman been trying to get me to pay £500 the day previous to take away a car that you had not prepared. now is that kist cosmetic or were you about to take a deposit for a car that hasnt been in the workshop and could have major issues?? I still tried to work out a deal (stupidity on my behalf) but was just belittled by the manager and the sales manager until I walked off. Nice selection of cars, unprofessional staff. I would not even enquire with them in the future.

Buying a car from Hitchfield Huddersfield was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. If you enjoy being lied to, ignored, misled, and left thousands of pounds out of pocket, then by all means, go ahead. Otherwise, avoid this place like the plague. I was sold an Audi A7 that was supposedly in “excellent condition.” What I got instead was a complete mess: a cracked windscreen, a broken spoiler, and a coolant system ready to fail. Within 24 hours of driving off, the car started showing problems. That should have been the first red flag—but sadly, it was only the beginning of a nightmare. Matt, their after-sales manager, is utterly incompetent. He gave me empty promises, ignored my calls, dodged emails, and showed zero accountability. Weeks went by with no updates while my car sat in their workshop. For week I had to get public transport because they couldn’t get their act together. When the car was finally returned, it had more issues: a malfunctioning radar sensor, a leaking AdBlue injector, and contaminated coolant. Audi diagnosed the problems and charged me over £1,700 to fix the mess Hitchfields handed me. Matt had the nerve to tell me to go to Audi, promised to cover the costs—then vanished. Not a word. No refund. No explanation. Just pure cowardice. The arrogance and negligence on display here are genuinely shocking. This dealership does not care about its customers once they’ve taken your money. Their word means nothing, and the aftercare is practically non-existent. Hitchfields is not just a bad dealership—it's a ticking time bomb of bad faith, broken promises, and financial pain. I wouldn’t trust them to sell a bicycle, let alone a £20k+ vehicle. If you value your sanity, your wallet, or your time: DO NOT BUY FROM HITCHFIELDS. EVER.

The team at Hitchfields have made buying my M140I smooth and effortless! Jo greeted us on the morning of the appointment and took us through to the car, explained the everything clearly, no sales push or spiel making me really relaxed on the day, just complete transparency.

Found a high spec XC40 I’ve spent weeks looking for on Autotrader, put a call into the dealership and spoke to James the sales manager who was really helpful, talked me through the journey of the car and travelled 120 miles to pick it up. Nothing felt like too much hassle and honestly I can’t fault the service from the moment I picked the phone up to them, will 100% be back in years to come.

In April my converible was booked in to correct a soft top malfunction. I was told the relays needed testing as diagnosis but that their machine was broken and to return 48 hours later. I was charged £90 to disassemble and reassemble the car with no outcome. I returned two days later, as booked in, to be told the engineer wasn't there. I tried again to re-book and was shocked to be told I would be classed as a new customer and charged £90 yet again just to get as far as I'd already paid for. My objection to the unfairness was referred to the Operations Manager who refuses to communicate with me. Wanting the job done I conceded, in writing, to Hitchfields' terms but all efforts to re-book go ignored. On 4 June I emailed the Operations Manager with detailed evidence of the position and calling for the return of £90 as Hitchfields is clearly not prepared to honour the work it commenced and refuses to complete. Total silence. Not a company to be trusted.

So Hitchfields replied to me with total lies. First of all… I did not buy the car a year ago. I bought the car on 01/07/2024 seen as we are not in July yet it obviously isn’t a year YET! Secondly I never said I wasn’t parked in front of the shutter doors, I said there was nowhere else to park. Staff were rude! And the parking is terrible. 3rd point. You say you “corrected the tracking with no cost to myself” of course there was no cost to myself because when I first reported the tracking off was a week after I bought the car therefore, A why wasn’t the tracking tested before I bought the car and B it was in the 3 months since first buying the car therefore you are obliged to sort any fault out within that timeframe. FREE! Also I paid £600 warranty for any fault with the electrics only to be told a few weeks ago that Hitchfields wouldn’t pay for any electrical fault. They would only look at it. I feel totally conned. Also they told me to speak to them to discuss matters so I emailed them. They don’t even reply when you do. Because they prefer to talk via phone which I don’t like to do as things can be denied on a phone. Overall experience. Terrible

called in on 2 weeks ago to have my car looked at that I bought from Hitchfields 8 months ago. I tried to park my car but was struggling for space, I was met with a very rude member of staff from Hitchfields telling me to park somewhere else! Telling me to park on another business premises. Then when I eventually got into the building I spoke to Matt about booking my car in for the back wiper looked at. Whilst I was there I mentioned the tracking that was offline, I contacted after sales via email within the first 2 months of purchasing the vehicle. We were told via phone that you were trying to find somewhere close to where we live to book the tracking in. So I mentioned the problem to Matt who I believe is after sales. Matt said he had never spoken to me and was unaware of the problem. He asked me for proof that I had spoken to someone and reported it. At the time I couldn’t find a paper trail of the report, I was made to feel like a liar! I managed to get the email up and showed Matt. He said oh sometimes it can get lost in spam! What a load of rubbish. I believe Hitchfields did not want to pay for the tracking doing. Fast forward to Wednesday the same day I brought the car in, I was told to pay £75 plus vat for the wiper looking at. Matt told us there was a good chance we would get our money back from the warranty. They fixed the wiper they said it was something and nothing, not a big job. We are still 95.00 down. I feel ripped off, I messaged Matt to ask for an explanation but he has not responded. This is unprofessional. I believe he tried to phone me but since I’ve been made to feel like a liar because I didn’t have proof I would like everything in writing whenever I communicate with Hitchfields. we are looking at fair trading rights and motor ombudsman. I’ve looked on google and trust pilot and it seems I’m not the only one recently that is unhappy! Your company was recommended by a friend who has bought two cars from you. I paid £18.000 for and Audi from you. The aftercare is terrible. I made a formal complaint via email and as of today NOBODY has responded. It seems this company does not like to communicate via email or text as they don’t like making promises or admitting they are wrong! I’ve also asked for a written invoice as to the work carried out on the wiper again I’ve received nothing. Stay well clear of this company! After you buy a car they are rude and unprofessional and they won’t fix the problem without a substantial fee.

I recently purchased an Audi RS3 from Hitchfields, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. James provided exceptional service throughout the entire process. From the moment I walked in, he was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about the car. He walked me through every detail of the RS3, ensuring I was comfortable with all the features. The entire process was smooth, transparent, and hassle-free. I highly recommend James and the team at Hitchfields for anyone looking for their next high-performance vehicle!

Superb range of cars, all indoors out of the rain and snow when we came! We were left to browse at our leisure and James was great at providing us with all the information that we needed about the cars and the warranty. We will definitely be back to buy another car from James when our daughter passes her test.
