Cesare in response to Dissatisfied Customer

With reference to the previous review - The customer in question picked up the vehicle, inspected it under showroom spotlights and was encouraged to do so before proceeding. At the time, he was happy and willing to proceed, and transferred the balance remaining and was even offered a test drive before driving off by himself. Subsequently, a couple of days later, the customer sent us an email asking if we had ever painted over the door, had any repair work done on that side etc. to which we replied, truthfully, that the demonstrator he purchased had mostly a showroom life, had very few demonstrations and quite rightly pointed out, doesn't go out unaccompanied or used as personal vehicles by the sales team. We asked to see photos of the damage in question, as all of our cars be they new or approved used go through several stages of checking, from arrival through the workshop then further checks by our valeters and sales coordinators, therefore found it peculiar that such drastic sounding damage could have eluded us. Photos were sent over, suggestions of a'polishing mop' being the culprit, but what caused us alarm, was that the door in question in the photo, was taken off the vehicle and on a stand, indicating that the customer had over polished and got it wrong, or damaged it himself and tried to blame us. We of course suggested if it is as he claims to take it to his local dealer, and claim under warranty, we got in touch with said dealer and informed them that the customer would be in touch. He never showed up with us, nor with them. We offered out of goodwill to help with the costs of repair regardless of fault but never heard back from the customer. We're a family owned dealer that's been here for more than 20 years that pride ourselves on our customer service, easy to deal with approach and repeat business. Please don't take this spiteful review at face value, and take my word for it that it is far from the truth.
