Just purchased an awesome over finch Range Rover from this company. Excellent service from the start,very professional. Thanks to Jamie Taylor (sales executive) who was always on the ball with the many questions I needed answered before I made the purchase. Jamie is an asset to this company.
During the sale process the service was great, all questions were answered, detailed info provided as and when requested. After driving 4 hours to collect the car, we had to wait 1hr for the salesman to arrive who had taken the car for a valet. When he arrived back it was clear the car had not been cleaned that day but we let it go. Short test drive later we pointed out a couple of issues with paintwork. it looked like someone had tried to do a home 'black pack' with a rattle can, again stuff that could be resolved later. Once we got the car back home, in daylight, we noticed the rear wiper was split, there was a crack in the windscreen and what looked like deep gauges in the glass. When raising this issue, i pointed out that these wern't raised in the recent MOT or sale and that's where the drama started. After being offered the FULL WORKS warranty at a discounted rate, my experience so far left me questioning the validity of their offering so decided against any further involvement with this company. My experience has not been good - to the point I don't even want to keep this car anymore. It makes me think what else has been masked or missold. Any future buyers, please read these reviews, go over the car with a fine tooth comb and get some written assurances that they will solve any problems.

good afternoon.... this is Kevin at Imperials, Im the sales advisor who actually sold you the car in question, Firstly apologies that you didn't think you had best over all experience, as I pride myself on giving all clients the very best experience I possibly can, from your comments you where happy with the sales process and in my opinion when you came to see the car, YOU and your FRIEND looked over the car in detail and where very happy with the vehicle.. in response to the delay when you collected the car, there was a slight delay due to you arriving early to the agreed appointment, as I was at that point in time putting fuel in the car and having the car cleaned, this would have been a slight delay if any, if you had of arrived on agreed time, but I fully understand this is a rather small issue and this is just feed back..... 100 % the car was cleaned as that was the reason for the delay to collection (I was having it cleaned)..... in regards to your comment ref the black pack, this was an aftermarket black pack which was done it a high standard, but this would never be as good as a factory black pack, this was inspected by you on collection (in the day time) and as far as I was concerned you where more than happy ... rear wiper blade split, If this was the case I would have been happy to supply and post a full set to rectify as this is a very small cost, but this is the first time you have mentioned this... crack in the windscreen would have 100 % been picked up on the mot, from our conversation this was not a crack but a chip which had been repaired. it was not in the line of site so would not need to have a replacement which is stipulated by the dvla In regards to the warranty we have an amazing warranty policy which has seen customers avoiding thousands if not tens of thousands of pounds worth of costs....even covering wear and tear .... and a large percentage of our clients opt to take this policy and have seen the benefit, this was an option we explained to you and you agreed the warranty was of benefit to you and even more so with a discount .... sorry to hear you where not 100 % happy but we do all we can to make our customers happy and would be more than happy to try and help in the future... seems a few small things have annoyed and upset you and this is never our intension .... we are always open to feed back and will take this on board
I purchased a Ferrari F430 from Jim (again, as in other reviews) in Chelmsford 18 months ago. Day after I got the car home issues with the F1 clutch system, Imperials NOT interested at all, story after story from Jim.. Luckily I ignored the so called Warranty they give their cars (worthless) car was supposed to be fully checked by then - NO WAY checked in anyway - Warranty does not exist! I paid extra for a RAC Warranty who finally covered this F! problem months and months later, anyway in 18 months I've spent £30K on fixing this car and done less than 2000 miles. Blown manifolds, hole in exhaust box, engine bolt glued in with Black Silicone, blown brake pipes, cracked rear clam shell, broken roof, huge hole in window not worked properly except demo, radio/stereo did not work, phone pack did not work, speakers in doors badly fitted had to pay Ferrari £500 to make them fit, kept popping the door trims off! Broken rear suspension spring, all ball joints shot, steering joint shot, door windows not shutting and leaking badly, have had 5 engine warning lights on, botched internal trim fitted kept falling down, bad wiring behind dash causing electrical problems, wishbones needed replacing, knackered botched internal window scissors, clutch 70% worn, tyres old and perished, one of the CATS had perished, engine sensors not working, perished engine exhaust pipes leaking, leaking and loads more I cant remember! In 18 months of ownership its been in a garage now 10 month of this and its in still as I type this having a completely new roof! They managed to blag the new manifolds through the RAC warranty by pulling strings after me threatening 'harry carry' - the rest not interested, Jim just fobs you off as has now power whatsoever - the owner Shaun tells staff NOT to communicate in writing so they are all in on the scam of this dealership. Keep WELL clear!!! Yet another court case coming their way after this lock down. Complete FRAUDS...

That was Christmas time 2019 and we hear nothing from Mr Ash until he posts his “review” some 11 months later, so could only assume he was happy. We do our utmost to treat all customers fairly and we will defend any legal action commenced by Mr Ash. For that reason, we will not post any further responses to this thread

Can't believe a place that sells such expensive cars can be so dodgy. Two different people have told me the car they sold me was crashed. Theyve ignored me since bringing this up. Avoid.
I deposited a range rover over the phone with Imperials Chelmsford... I dealt with J start to finish who told me once the finance has been accepted and paid out, I can collect it then straight away. My part exchange Mercedes was taken for a quick drive and the finance on that car was cleared within a week and they sent me the clearance letter for this Great garage and will use again
Never experience such poor customer service as i did at Imperials Chelmsford, just a basic call back was beyond their comprehension. All their positive reviews are based on a sale not how they deal with customers after. What salesman wouldn’t been charming and helpful, they are trying to make a sale. Good companies have good customer service, no better than a back street dealer.
Imperials Chelmsford totally ignored me, I have a quality part exchange vehicle and have contacted them at least five times in order to buy a vehicle on every occasion even on the out of hours mobile number they have totally ignored me they clearly do not want my money what a let down.
Absolutely disgusting the way they treat customers, drove 9 hours all round trip, 4 and half hours there and back for a car I put a desposit on of £500 for them to tell me it wasn’t there when I arrived, then tried to convince me to buy a different one. No phone call, no nothing, so disgusted with the way they run there “business”. Wouldn’t waste your time.

We paid a £1000 deposit and waited 4wks for them to sort thing's out and now they've told me its been sold to someone else even though its still being advertised for £1000 more than the original price
Very good service at Imperials in Chelmsford. The car is lovely and clean and was excellent value for money. I am still waiting for my spare keys but the dealer has promised they will be delivered today after I phoned them about 7 or 8 times about it but other than that I can't fault them. I would happily recommend this dealership to my friends and family.
