I put a deposit on a car from IMW that I had seen on Autotrader, I then booked a logistics company to inspect and collect it. They thought cosmetically it needed some work but drove OK. They also advised the ESP and TPMS lights were on when they drove it. After a conversation with IMW he suggested it was due to low pressure in a tyre and nothing more so he turned them off and I bought the car. Upon receiving the car I noticed the cars wheels were awful and had corrosion all over, interior trim was broken, the car had rubbish inside, and pretty much every panel had been painted (poorly) at some stage in it's life. When I drove it the car hesitated on acceleration and thick black smoke came out the back. The esp light came back on and I noticed an oil leak in the engine. I spoke to IMW who advised the car was right and he had given me the best price on the car so I could not complain. I took the car to a local garage who diagnosed nearly £3k in mechanical work in addition to the cosmetic repairs required and also said there could be more to spend once they start work on the engine. I checked the service history book and the last 4 stamps seemed to not have a genuine stamp in the book with just a mobile phone number and a mileage figure that seemed to rounded. After calling the garage in question they confirmed they had never serviced the car. so ultimately this car had no proof of servicing for the last few years. I sent the report back to IMW and explained I wanted to return the car under the Consumer right law from October 2015 to reject the car in the first 30 days. I had no response at all, after chasing via the mobile number he eventually came out with 'it was a trade sale' so I had no rights (it of course was not) He has rights too and that If I took him to court he would fold the business like he had done before to another customer who bought a car when the engine went to avoid the business paying out. He also said don't bother calling again as he wont respond or do anything about it. I would strongly advise anyone considering a car from IMW to get a full independent inspection by a recognised body before putting any deposit or paying any money out as you may end up buying a car that needs a fortune spent to put it to a roadworthy safe condition! IMW don't care about the law and have no intention of keeping to the current consumer laws.

I bought a Honda Civic in June. The car was in okay condition when they handed it over to me but could have been cleaner. Since having the car I have noticed a clicking sound and the brakes were quite warped to I have had to have new brake pads and disks and it was also very low on oil so I had to change that. Kinda annoyed about it to be honest so I owuld not recommend them.

Back in May I purchased a BMW from IMW and I am really happy with it, only one issue and this is covered by the warranty. The bloke was as good as gold and a really big help! Very friendly guy. I am really happy overall and would 100% recommend this dealership.
