Applied for a car on finance through Oodle and saw a Vauxhall Astra after a long search on JR Dealer website. Looked at the pictures and seemed fine as well as information displayed. So I went for it before checking it on site and when I went to pick the care the outside seemed fine but inside there were cat hair on the seats. My mistake I did not check under the bonnet or do a body inspection as I was on a rush. Two weeks after driving the car went to have it serviced and when bonnet was opened I was completely shocked at what I saw. In fact the car was rusty and corroded everywhere inside, engine dirty and seemed to be leaking and some dodgy patchwork on the axle with metal plates that were corroded and breaking. Also, there was little bit of rust on the boot door at the back. This car was a 2015 plate! Also, when I was driving on the motorway, when I moved gears up to 5, the car dropped in speed! So for £4500 finance through Oodle, they gave me a car in very bad condition inside, rotting away and corroded, with engine problems. I managed to call the finance company and get out of the Finance agreement ASAP! They said bring the car back they will repair it and even told me I can't just come out of the finance agreement! But I did as I took pictures as evidence and sent it to Oodle. The contract was then promptly terminated. These guys are cowboy dealers and liars, selling rubbish and broken down cars to people and falsifying information. Thir license should be taken away.

I bought a car from jr of ashford .mr paul were serving me . I went to see from the south ro see the car.i asked about every thing they mention on the phone.was the same as put on autottador.but when i see the paper work was changed..they got some rubish car.coz i m not happy from the i bought from them.i had a pary exchange.on high price.the car i bring home was broken down on the second day.they given me waranty took the car bak.took a week to fix it.there was engine leak i mention them.they ignor it said that it is from the last service.i would no recomend this gaurage to any one.plz do.t wast ur money and time .to buy their wast car.my car they put on the trade on double price without doing any work in it.they just buying and selling car without any 360 degrer inspection.given u three month waranty.which they will fix.just waste of time and money unprofessional gaurage,i request all my friend do.t wast ur money here.thanks i had a very bad experience here.

Bought a Corsa from JR of Ashford, was told by salesmen that it had a timing chain issue only to find out that the engine block is cracked and needs a new engine. Star rating 0.

We viewed a car at JR of Ashford no one came out to speak to us we had to find someone he handed us the keys and just walked of so we looked around the car first bad thing the car wouldn't start! The glove box was broken the interior was rotten ! There was some sort of sauce on the foot well and foundation marks up the doors !! Cobwebs inside the car was just awful !! Would of liked abit more of a conversation from the man as we was looking to spend a fair bit of money on this car !! Lack of salesman ship clearly cannot run a business !!! Wouldn't recommend it at all the experience was awful have been to other places and had a pleasant service and happy customer service not here tho !

Dear reader, do not be swayed by the couple of negative reviews you might read below. I have been looking to change my Toyota Avensis estate since we aquired another dog. Basically needed more head room in the boot. So my quest for something different began. Having done some research, I settled on a Nissan XTrail. So now to find a good one. There are a few out there but often a catch with one thing or another. Having narrowed it down to three cars I looked into whether each place would take mine in part exchange. Although you might get a little more money for your car selling it privately actually it can be a hassle so I wanted to part exchange. From the first time I spoke to Graham at JR he was clear and courteous regarding my car so I decided to make the not inconsiderable drive down to look at the Nissan that they had. On our first visit we were shown the car and given the key and left to have a look to our satisfaction. After requesting to take it out, despite the dreadful weather and the fact the car was tucked away at the back, nothing was too much trouble and we duly went for a drive. Graham and his colleague then looked at my car and made me a very fair offer to part exchange. At this point, I needed some time to think so went for a coffee to mull it all over. Although I was fairly certain that I wanted to have the Nissan, I decided to leave without making that final decision. I was not pressured or pushed at any point during the course of the two hours I spent at the garage and left promising to let them know what I wanted to do as soon as possible. Having a further 48 hours to think I rang them back to say they would like the car and secured it with a deposit. This is normal practice for those who might dispute having to part with some money before the car is checked over and serviced. Again, Graham told me clearly what they would be doing in terms of servicing and an MOT etc I drove down again on the 19th to collect the car. Beautiful day and arrived to find that the car was ready to go having been beautifully valeted inside and out and was absolutely gleaming. All paper work was sorted quickly and efficiently including tax. It was genuinely an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I was treated with respect and feel that I have gained a lovely new vehicle for a fair price. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending JR of Ashford to anybody. A wonderful find. Thank you both again

I called JR of Ashford before travelling over to view a car they had listed, firstly to check whether it was still available and secondly to see whether they would take my current car as a part-ex. They said yes to both. On first inspection, the car looked ok - just a few bits and bobs (dvd player etc) not working. Salesman wasn't pushy at all, if anything slightly illusive. He managed to find the key, but advised us that we couldn't take the car for a test drive as they didn't have any trade plates available. At this point he tried to claim that lots of people buy cars without driving them first and that if anything was wrong, they would put it right. We then checked out the paperwork and discovered approx 50,000 miles on the clock were not covered in what was advertised as a 'full service history'. Also, the most recent service was listed at a higher mileage than the clock on the car stated it had done. When we pointed this out to him, he tried to make some excuses, then told me he wouldn't take my car as a part-ex because it was a manual, not an auto. Seems strange that as soon as we started asking questions he started putting up barriers. Also, the car has been listed for over a month. Take that as you will.

VERY HELPFUL ..LET US HAVE THE KEYS SO WE COULD CHECK THE CAR OUT ON OUR OWN.. NOTHING TO MUCH BOTHER ..CLEAN COMFORTBALE OFFICES ..CARS ARE VERY WELL PRESENTED.. WILL BUY FROM JR OF ASHFORD AGAIN IF THEY HAVE WHAT I WANT.

I have always found J.R.'s to be an amazing company. I will always use them for my cars. I have been using them since 2008. I have purchased 2 cars from them and they have both been great cars. They have also done all of my repairs for the 2 cars that I own even though only 1 of them was purchased from them, speedily and at a very reasonable cost. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and all of the staff are very friendly.
