Bought a car for my son in late august from lane autos, only had it just over a week had to take it back was at the dealer for two weeks whilst he replaced engine only lasted another four weeks car broke down took it to garage was told head cylinder miss firing cost me price of car to get repaired fair to dealer he put £250 towards repair but beware before you buy (get warranty).

Thanks for the feed back from your two reviews.. however pls don’t miss out key facts ! The car was £1250 and you checked it out thoroughly before deciding to purchase because (1)it was mechanically sound and 2 it was the cheapest available by far .. two
Weeks later the unforeseen occurred and I offered a full refund yet you chose to have the vehicle repaired costing me £800 which I arranged ASAP to cause minimum inconvenience to yourself ! Sometime later out of warranty you rang to say there was a problem and I sent £250 for which you was very grateful and saying how great I was .. I can’t believe you would then write this snide review missing all these key facts .. says more about you

Attitude for someone who deals with the public “stinks”. For a dealer to be abrupt, rude and unprofessional, on the phone for a genuine enquiry, he deserves not to have a business selling cars. I will not visit this web site again. As I was very interested in a car at around £5,000 Lane Autos has lost my business.

Lane Autos were absolutely disgusting ! I am appalled by the service of this man, the car that he has sold to my mum is faulty and dangerous to drive. I am definitely not happy! My mum has rang him asking for him to repair the faulty car that he has sold to her with over 20 faults 3 being extremely major, he then proceeded to shout and swear at her even though she remained calm and was only talking to him. His nasty and intimidating manor has left my mum with no car and feeling very upset with how nasty he was. She has seeked legal advice in which he is actually in breach of the consumer rights act 2015. He needs to get his business sorted and sell good reliable cars and take some lessons in manors and customer service! I also am lead to believe that this is not the first incident as in the phone call he said “let me stop you right there I have heard this before” when my mother mentioned the consumer rights act 2015 and pursuing taking him court.

Did you ever get anywhere going through court? I'm looking to do the same against them as they have also sold me a car needing numerous repairs and obviously they're not interested now the car isn't in their possession. I'm also going to go to trading standards
