Only gave Longmans Motors 1 star because there isn't an option for 0 stars. I implore anyone who is thinking of using this company for either a service or to carry out works on their Mitsubishi to go anywhere else but here. Head gasket went on my L200 so had the work carried out under warranty from Longmans. Fast foward 6 months and the exact same thing happened. Took the vehicle to an impartial mechanic who said that when the head gasket was first replaced by Longmans, they didn't mill down or replace the head to ensure it was flat. The warp in the head was always going to cause the head gasket to go again. In addition to this, there was a suspected black solution found in the engine that although we could not prove, looked very similar to a quick fix head gasket solution. But of course, conveniently this time round the vehicle was out of warranty date. Cost me £4,000 to have the engine rebuilt as Longmans couldn't help me. To be frank, they didn't want to help me. When I took the vehicle the first time they could not have looked any less interested, even more so when told about the same head gasket going 6 months later. It's not the fact that they were not willing to help with the coincidental 2nd head gasket going that angers me so. It is more to do with the arrogance and sarcasm in their tone when I was being told that I am outside of the warranty so it's not their problem any more I also implore you not see this as just a disgruntled customers review looking to vent some frustration but more of someone who has spent an absolute fortune putting right their vehicle after Longmans have supposedly put it right. Someone who is simply trying to pass on a very accurate review in order to prevent someone else having the same experience FAO - Longmans: Happy for you to get in touch should you wish to do the right thing

Made to really feel at home at Longmans, a dealership family run, offered me to borrow there phone to insure my new car tea & coffee on several occasions, was not pressured in anyway to buy the vehicle and they let me have my space when I needed it, finance was all arranged efficiently and I was able to drive my great new car away from there forecourt on the same day.absolutely brilliant I highly recommend Longmans Motors in Basildon

We travelled a 500 mile trip to purchase a car, which was clearly being falsely advertised and very miss leading. The wheels needed to be refurbished, the car had clearly been crashed and repaired badly. To add to further insult all of the lights had popped and had condensation in them, trims where hanging off and the car which was advertised as being immaculate, was a dog. It was so bad we didn't bother to test drive it. The sales man thought he was charming us giving us some chat about the vehicle being owned previously be a Sir??? Not sure what that was suppose to mean. I will be getting in touch with Auto Trader to inform them that his add is a lie. One more point I will make, everyone apart from this Car dealer knows that if you are spending lots of money on a vehicle you do not want to turn up to find that it has been for a good run whilst you are sat in the waiting room ready to view it. What a terrible company, how my husband and I laughed all the way home at them and glad that it was only petrol and time we had wasted and not thousands of pounds.
