Adding my review on here and anywhere else I can to get the word out because I heard there advert on the radio earlier and realised who it was, Mark Andrews Car Centre have changed there name now and more than likely its to stop people finding out from there customers about there ABSOLUTELY DISMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, they have now changed there name to M A CAR GROUP and are advertising on Capitol FM Radio station as M A CAR GROUP but it’s actually Mark Andrews Car Centre using a different name, If you go on the link to there website on here it takes you to a differnt company called MA CAR GROUP but all the cars in stock on there website are in front of a big black sign that says Welcome to Mark Andrews Car Centre so its obviously the same company. Everything online about Mark Andrews or MA CAR GROUP as they are now calling themselves is from people saying they have been ripped off with a faulty car or people saying they got forced into buying a car they didn’t want or people saying they wish they had never even set foot in there or terrible aftersales etc. People need to know what this company are really like If I could pay to put this on a massive advert on the telly just to warn people about these rip off merchants then believe me I would. I had a 2009 Nissan from Mark Andrews Car Centre last year which I literally carnt wait to get rid of and I want people reading these reviews to know exactly what they are letting themselves in for I wish I had bothered to check them out before I signed anything. They will seem genuine and really professional at first when you apply for credit with them and come across very friendly and helpful. DON’T LET THIS FOOL YOU because its all just to get all the people with bad credit who don’t expect to get approved through the door. When you actually get there that’s when you find out what they really like. None of the cars I liked on there website or on facebook were there when I got there and I felt very pressureised into signing for the Nissan I felt uneasy about it mainly because it wasn’t one of the cars that I actually wanted but they told me I couldn’t afford a better one anyway because of my credit score which later on turned out to be lies so it was either that or one I liked even less but I needed a car desperately so I foolishly went along with it and really cant tell you how much I regretted it ever since. They must have wanted to get rid of this car badly because of all the issues it had when I bought it so I think that’s why they pressured me to sign for it. As soon as I was driving it home a load of lights popped up on the dashboard so I called them the following morning and was promised a manager would call me back but this call never happened so I called back the following day but same thing again no call back all day so I contacted them through their Facebook page and within a matter of minutes they had deleted my comments and banned me from commenting or contacting the page again I had to phisicly drive over there to get them to acknowledge the problems with the car but all they did was reset the lights on the dashboard but they came back on straight away all they would tell me is there was nothing wrong with the car but it would be another week before they had time to look at it again but same thing again next week the lights came back on until I ended up taking the car to a proper garage in the end and paying them myself which did fix the problem but I just don’t see why I should have to pay myself when I SUPPOSEDLY had 12 months warranty its just not good enough when you’ve just bought a car to get fobbed off and passed from pillar to post when you try to make a claim with the warranty all they say is they no longer work with Mark Andrews anymore and you will have to take the car back to them for any repairs but when you try to do that they don’t want to know and just say theres nothing wrong. I have got to say to anyone thinking of getting a car from them they are probably the worst company I have ever known THEIR ATTITUDE TOWARDS CUSTOMERS ONCE THEY HAVE TAKEN THEIR MONEY STINKS I would never recommend them to anyone if anyone wants proof that I bought my car from there to show this is a genuine review email me and let me know as long as my name and address does not go online I can provide copy of any paperwork that I had with the car they pressured me into buying AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS AVOID AVOID AVOID.

This is exacly what im goimg through now. To a T. Iv got a nissan thats all teped up in the engine. And they wont take the car back. All tho im in my 30 day return period. Thay rushed me, the sales man didnt explain anything about my APR rates and the price of the car. Just said i had bad credit an my scores 800. We agreed a momtly budget and he found a car jist over that. All tho he said i could afford a lot more. Which i knew wasn't possible. Iv been offered a car a lot cheaper or a professional company. I was lied to about free one year tax an warranty. No one calls me back an they hang up on me. Im not letting them fix it. Shouldn't have been sold like this its a fire hazard. And yes face book replyes within seconds. If it has been taken over by another company etc why not be fair to the existing customers and get a better reputation for them selves. The manager finally spoke to me but ended up hanging up on me when i explained that while i was shoved on the phone on loud speaker without warning the sales man started waving a pen in front of my 4 year olds face. All while i'm on the phone trying to hear what this woman was asking me. I didn't even know who the lady was.

I got a car last year in the Dumfries shop. For what am paying nearly 7 grand for on finance for a Peugeot that I have had evaluated twice 1 for 600 pounds and 1 for 565 pounds. I can't understand what am paying 7 grand for the car has faults already I don't even think it will last 3 years. Try to call the shop it's shut down now called a shop in England they said they would get someone to phone me back but haven't. In the shop at the time the didn't fully explain the finance and pushed for me to sign it which I did stupidly, which he also stated I could change cars after so many months and renew finance again once I have built up more credit, but as I said the shop shut never heard anything since. I'm just stuck now in 7 grand debt over 3 years for a car that won't even last 3 years in my eyes I've already had to pay 300 for work on it

I agree they were also extremely pushy with me i felt that i was pressured into buying a Nissan that i didnt even want they were trying to tell me i couldnt afford the cars i wanted but they just lie to you about how much your approved for to try and make you go back to get the car you actually want next time i had mine last year as well it doesnt matter if they closed the shop by your area the finance is actually with a seperare company mine was with the car finance company also for 3 years but when you have had it for for longer than half the length of the contract you can just give the car back to the car finance company and stop the payments or you can get finanvce with them directly for a better car or you can go to another garage and get a car from them you dont need to go back through Mark Andrews or M A Car Group as they have started calling themselves look up on google "hire purchase voluntary termination" and they have some sites that can explain it better than i can of what your rights are on there but i completely agree these are a total rip off and i wont ever be going near them again thats for sure i have kept up my payments and can get my next car anywhere it doesnt have to be them again like they tried to con me with hope that helps best of luck to you

I bought a car from them 3rd July. I didn't receive the tear off section of the log sheet. I was told that the car was mot and taxed until April 18. Apparently when a car is sold the road tax is cancelled. I had the car 5 weeks, just days before the 1st payment and it broke down. I contacted the warranty people who said they wouldn't fix it as it's 'an oil issue'. The garage I took it too told me this issue had started long before I got the car. Mark andrews dealership told me to take the car back for inspection by breakdown truck. I told them I live in Scotland and there the conversation ended. Eventually after a couple of months I got a phone call to say they would pick up from the garage to take back to be fixed and return it to me. They haven't picked it up yet. So no road tax , no car. I do like the car, ideal for my needs. I suffer depression and this mess isn't good.

I purchased a car on rent to buy until I can get finance. 1st of all the guy that we met was ok but pushed us into taking a car that we didn't want and it's a shed loads of dents bits hanging off door full of water heaters blowing cold until I bought a fuse bald tyre which they changed and when you call up to speak to some one from that department they fob you off and say he is off or he is with a client or he is in a meeting. I would advise anyone to go elsewhere and never get a car from these. Bad way they treat customers and they say treat customers right. I'm putting this on as Ive made over 40 phone calls and drove 37 miles there and 37 miles back and still nothing done.

Same thing with me very pushy sales MA Car Group forced me into buying a car i didn't want that had loads of faults then tried to get out of fixing anything took the car back to them in Walsall more than once all they do is reset the fault lights on the dashboard and tell you there'S nothing wrong with the car i had to pay a proper garage to get it fixed so i could know it had been done properly total rip off and very dishonest way to treat customers in my opinion.

My daughter Jo bought a 2007 Astra from Mark Andrews financed through The Car Finance Company when she was 19 and the idea was to get a reliable car while she was at Uni and to help her build her credit history for when she finished her degree. The way this company treated her was nothing short of disgraceful as that car is a wreck thats been anything but reliable and from my own experience of dealing with them in my opinion Mark Andrews Car Centre are nothing but devious underhanded money grabbing con artists. The brake pads on the Astra they sold her were badly worn and all the discs were heavily pitted and starting to rust. To knowingly sell a car with dodgy brakes to an inexperienced 19 year old driver is scandalous. The central locking key fob didn’t work properly and needed to be replaced by Vauxhall and the alternator also had to be changed as well as an issue with one of the rear electric windows and we had to pay for the lot within the first month as Mark Andrews refused to change the car or cover any repair costs and were rude to both Jo and myself on the phone about it shouting the phone and refusing to listen to anything we had to say. The head gasket went earlier this month and I’ve cleared off the outstanding finance for her so she can just move on and get another one without damaging her credit rating because that cars given her nothing but stress since she had it. It honestly doesn’t surprise me to see that everything that’s written about Mark Andrews is negative they are a vile company to deal with but as long as they offer finance to people who think that they won’t be approved anywhere else they will only continue to treat people in this way. I wish we had seen all these reviews before the ordeal they put my daughter through, my advice to offer any car buyers thinking of getting a car from Mark Andrews is is just avoid these contemptable people altogether especially if its your first car you will only regret letting them get their grubby hands on your hard earned cash, I would give them 0 stars if the option were available.

Had an appointment with these and didn’t even get shown a single car! Its pretty clear that they’re just hard selling the finance options and train these kids up to give every customer that comes through the door the same spiel but it wasn’t ever going to work on me I’m 45 years old with my own business and a mortgage if I wanted financial advice I’d make an appointment with Barclays not some 2 bit garage flogging hire purchase! I could see the young lad was just trying his best to do his job so I tried not to give him too much of a hard time and I told him nice and polite I’m just here to look at your Mercs pal and I want to be out of here and clear of that stretch of the M6 before the traffic starts to build up so lets crack on but no he still wants to talk about my past credit history etc which is of no concern to Mark Andrews at all I’m approved for finance now just show me something German within my limit or I'm gone but he wouldn’t budge bless him well I don’t like to make a habit of repeating myself so I finished my coffee and I was on my way I’m guessing they must get it in the neck if they don’t finish their BS economics lesson first because if he would of just shown me what I asked him to the kid was onto a sale but looking at some of these reviews off people that did go the distance they don’t seem to be best pleased! I’d probably say I’d say its best for all parties involved that I did walk away.

I had the same problem when I applied for credit I just wanted a new car but it didn’t happen cause they were chatting bare about my credit score.. yawn.. strange way to sell cars bore ya customers away?? I knew my credit wasnt the best like but that was already out there I wouldnt have been there otherwise? There was a older couple who got there before us moaning they were there 4 hrs ago and no idea what was going on or why it was taking so long!?! It was jokes that people were getting so mad when they just wanted to buy their cars and leave dont get why they make everyone wait? My sister who drove us there had somewhere to go and when we heard them saying how long they were kept waiting for she wouldn’t wait any more and wanted to go so I had to go before I got a car!!! But I’m glad I didn’t get 1 now I’ve seen all these reviews!!!! Wont be going back that’s for certain!! You can keep your car finance thanks lol!!!!!

"Financial Ombudsman Will Help You Cancel"

I had to make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service just to cancel my finance on a faulty car that Mark Andrews sold to me, I could tell something not right as soon as I picked it up it just didn’t feel right I called them back up but they said it’s a new car you just have to get used to it but I wasn’t buying that I knew it didn’t feel right so I booked it into the Renault Service centre in Leicester for a full inspection, Renault quoted me just under £2000 for repairs which Mark Andrews refused to pay and said I had to bring the car back to them, Renault would not release the car to me full stop unless I arranged for it to be towed out because they said its not safe to drive, went back to Mark Andrews and they wouldn’t pay for that either so getting fed up of the situation now and having lost all faith in the car. I told them straight that I didn’t want the car anymore, they then tried to tell me that I had to pay the full cost of the car up front if I wanted to cancel the finance but that’s just nonsense and the Financial Ombudsman ruled in my favour and got the finance cancelled without me having to pay a penny, I won in the end but it sickens me that they sold me a car that wasn’t fit to be on the road then refused to do anything about it and tried to lie to me about my right to cancel the finance, The Car Finance Company were great afterwards and went out of their way to help me get another car but as for Mark Andrews anyone else having trouble with this company I would seriously recommend going to straight to the Financial Ombudsman without even wasting your time complaining to Mark Andrews, they only care about taking your money from you and if you don’t get what you’ve paid for well that’s just bad luck for you it’s a disgusting way to treat customers I would never ever recommend them to anyone ever.

We were welcomed by a very jolly and helpful young man. Nothing was a problem he helped us throughout the process. Our new Car is not only cheaper than our old car but 6 years newer!! Thank you Arfan!

I bought my vauxhall astra from them when they were in a smaller garage near Bilston, I didn’t have a good experience with them to be honest, the cars not too bad now its been looked after and they were ok with me when I first bought it but they made fun of me when I had to bring it back in they were not taking me seriously in the office when I was telling them what was wrong with it and laughing and mocking me it felt intimidating and I didn’t want to go back there any more with the warranty and just had it fixed at the garage by me in Bilston instead
