Arranged a test drive at Masterdriver Aylesbury and John made me feel really welcome, trusting me to go for a drive alone. I liked the car and discussed a part exchange value for mine. There’s always a thought of ‘should I have negotiated more’ but John explained the basis of the value and I didn’t want to lose the purchase. There were a few marks on the car I was buying so John suggested I return the next day and everything will be sorted. I did and it was. Very pleased with the entire experience. John was a first class ambassador for the company.

Myself and partner recently purchased an Audi Q3 from Masterdriver in Aylesbury. We initially contacted the office via their website, we liased with John who was extremely helpful and informative. We booked a viewing and took the car for a test drive a couple of days later. We was greeted by Steve who gave us the keys of the car to look around it and get a feel for it. We were then allowed on a test drive and was told to take our time, Steve made us feel very welcome and relaxed! (No pressure or sales pitches) the car was immaculate and we knew it was for us. With no hassle , we paid a deposit and without any stess a few days later simply transferred the balance to their account. We then arranged with John to pick the car up, he even stayed behind their opening hours to cater for us. I would highly recommend this car dealer and want to thank you all again . I took delivery of my mini last Friday and am very, very pleased with it. I initially dealt with Adam and subsequently met John and both could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Their obvious genuine dedication to customer service encouraged me to buy with confidence. The vehicle is just as described and great fun to drive.

I have used Masterdriver twice now and have found them to be excellent. Great customer servie very accomodating and reasonably priced. I woul not take my mini anywhere else. Well done to John, Adam and the team
The car had issues with its sat nav, panoramic roof, 2 oil leaks and worn brake pads and flaking paintwork from the alloys (the alloys had been sprayed painted - by the time I got home the paint was clearly seen coming off and rusty on the alloys apparent. They claim they are mini specialists yet didnt know how to work the sat nav when my Husband and i went to collect the car. (Later when the car was taken to a BMW outlet in my locality, found out why...the sat nav was faulty). On calling to collect the car at Masterdriver I left with the car after making payment and within a few minutes the car was juddering. On going back to the dealership, (I was only a short distance from the dealership) at a garage, found they had locked up and gone home for the remainder of the afternoon. I phoned one of their mobile numbers and i left voice mail messages but they didnt bother to answer or answer calls or my emails the following day either. Trades and standards were notified. Masterdriver reluctantly had my car back (I travelled at my cost from wales to buckinghamshire) and all they did was to put on aftermarket brake pads (which the garage I use swiftly changed and put on genuine oem mini). Their advice about the roof.... (keep it out of the sun)!. The oil leaks were not fixed either. One was major (meant the engine had to come out). I wish I had never dealt with these two men that run Masterdriver and neither bought this car from them. I have learnt a hard lesson. If I purchase a car and its used, I arrange a full through inspection . My further experience: On turning to these two men to sort out the cars issues, my Husband and I were met with indifference, aggression and found they did their best to ignore (until Trades and Standards and the finance company thankfully stepped in to support and help us). These two men did their best to wipe their hands of this dismal purchase. No matter any good or excellent reviews, this experience was hell for me. Apart from buying a car from them with issues and ongoing I have paid out over 2,000 getting this car right as possible. Had they been decent and put the car right and gave me the courteous help and service they appear to have given others in the good reviews, I would have written a review singing their praises. However, despite the good reviews, there are some that have experienced a poor to dismal experience with Masterdriver. My opinion!...get the car you are thinking of buying from them checked out - i.e. a full inspection. I should have! but have learned from dealing with them and buying one of their cars that I will never be in this dire situation ever again! By the way....since dealing with other dealerships ...found they have been exceptional and all that Masterdriver should have been in my situation and others it has let down.

Mrs Loren-Evans, this mini was purchased by you and your husband on the 29/07/2012 yet five years on you still post not so true comments on various web-sites although we appreciate everyone should be entitled to their opinions we think it is time for the actual facts and truths to be known by all and hopefully put the lid on things for good. Firstly your business was much appreciated, however you claim the vehicle was sold to you in a not fit for use condition and had many faults when collected but in our defence the truth I think is as follows: 1) You state you reported faults on the vehicle after collection and you had to return the mini to us at your expense when the truth is it was collected by a driver from your premises in wales at our cost and re-inspected at our garage. 2) Upon inspection the satellite navigation system was found to have intermittent fault and antenna was replaced with new, 3) Brakes were not worn as your chosen Halford technician had informed you however as a goodwill gesture brake pads were replaced with textar brand which is one of the finest oem aftermarket brake products available and any technician would agree with us on that. 4) Alloy wheels had fair wear and tear marks on them for a five year old vehicle and were acceptable to you on collection. 5) You claim there were two oil leaks but upon inspection there was a slight oil leak found around sump area which is very common for these models but not serious and yet again as a goodwill we replaced sump gasket and no other leak was found. 6) You said the car was juddering when you left the dealership and when returning to the garage it was locked up and you tried calling mobile phone numbers but were ignored, however we had no instruction to check juddering on vehicle when we collected it with your check list and no mobile phone numbers were available to call or given out to you at any time? 7) You also claim you had a fault with your sunroof and were told to keep it out of the sun, some confusion because you had asked us to rectify slight sagging on rear inner sunroof blind and not a fault on the actual sunroof. 8) We were contacted by a trading standards employee via telephone to notify us of your complaint and no action was taken against Masterdriver as they were fully satisfied in the manner and actions that the situation had been dealt with by us and it was brought to our attention you were known to them? 9) We were also contacted by the finance company that were very sympathetic towards us and were also satisfied that the situation had been dealt by us in a correct satisfactory manner and had no further issues. 10) In response to your comments on reviews we have supplied over 3000 used minis in a period of eleven years and fortunately we have many happy, satisfied customers that would disagree with you in your opinions and negative comments directed at staff and aftersales service at masterdriver, however as stated you were entitled to your opinion but this appears not to be an opinion but an unfair personal vendetta against us. For the records we kept all corresponding paperwork in reference to your complaint and a satisfactory acceptance of works carried out by ourselves was signed by you and we had no future complaints or contact from yourself regarding your mini purchase. All our vehicles are supplied with a fully comprehensive nationwide warranty and are all prepared to an exceptional standard that is second to none and are fully inspected prior to customer collection by a fully trained ex Bmw technician and all parts fitted if not genuine bmw brand are of top quality OEM standard. We would like to as stated above put a lid on this matter for good and having had eleven successful years being the uks longest serving independent mini specialist. We would also like to say we do sell pre-owned vehicles and that on occasions may develop a fault unfortunately this is the nature of our business but on these rare occasions we do everything possible to resolve and keep our customers satisfied, On this occasion unfortunately we did not fail but the customers’ demands and expectations were never going to be met and although reported faults were rectified by ourselves and at no cost to the customer for some bizarre reason unknown to ourselves this customer for the last five years as gone out of their way to publicly and wrongly discriminate against us and others If in doubt please check all of the other reviews this customer as left other companies and retailers alike.. Buyer BEWARE. Bought a gorgeous looking Mini from this company but like anything in life, don't be fooled by looks. Since buying it, it's cost me over £1000 to put right and that's after they told me that their mechanic (no wonder why he doesn't work for mini anymore) had serviced it!!! Really. When I tried to contact them and let them know about the problems I was told they would call me back, well as Cilla would of said "Surprise Surprise" no call has ever been returned. The warranty company they also use are not all that - how many exclusions can you have.....? So think twice about this company but if you do choose to go ahead and buy a car from them make sure you feed the horse, shine their spurs and try on the ten gallon hat. I've been stung and hope you won't be. Thinking of small claims court that's how bad they are.

Hi, I read your review and found similar issues with these so called mini specialists. The mini I purchased went wrong a few minutes after leaving their dealership (collected the car on Sunday). I went back (just a few minutes up the road) and they closed after I left. I left a voice mail message and yet they didnt bother to reply. When I phoned the finance company up and managed to get them to reply, their attitude had changed from Mr Nice Guys to aggressive didnt want to know! Once they had my money ....that was the end of the helpful manner and niceness I encountered when I arrived. They bought my car from Scotland, the sat nav wasnt working and they couldnt get it to work, the roof wouldnt open (their words...keep the roof out of the sun and in the shade, the car had 2 oil leaks, one from the camshaft and the other in a section of the engine (which meant the engine had to come out), sat nav that didnt work, and worn brake pads. I got hold of Trades and Standards, took the car back to them (at my cost) and found they had put cheap aftermarket brake pads (fit only for a few months use), not fixed the oil leaks when they said they had. They gave me a piece of paper which they said proved their mechanic had dealt with all the issues. I took the car to my local garage and they confirmed apart from the aftermarket brake pads that they had done nothing more. The car in the time I owned it, cost me over 2,000 getting it right. To this day, I will never forget the injustice and rip off from these two men. I wish I had never heard of them let alone done business with them. The worst car deal I have ever had the mispleasure and misfortune to have had. Despite some good reviews, Anyone who buys a car from them, I urge you to have the car inspected!
