Matthew the fraud now goes under RAYLEIGH TRADE CENTRE Limited - Company number 13250068 appears to be using his mother as company director. Purchased a Mini a few years ago from him which was appaling, clutch failed, electrical issues, aircon failed within weeks of purchase. Jumped up attitude from a guy which used his sister to sell the car to hide from the sale. I wouldn't be surprised if he's banned from running a business hence his mother fronting the new name....

Bought a car in good faith It’s clearly after deeper inspection been involved in a rtc with major issues. Failed MOT with an incorrect spare tyre, no Jack and 2 Illegal tyres. Front shock absorber is also illegal.
I gave Matthew Salter money for a car and he still has the car . He refuses to refund me my money back. Auto trader allow him to advertise on their website even when he’s cars don’t have mot or they fail big time. Look up mot history and do yourself a big favour and don’t deal with this dealer. He tells me to take him to court. As a consumer you don’t have any rights in he’s eyes

We bought a car that was making a lot of noise after we bought it. We tried to get it repaired by him but he refused. The engine is the problem according to an indépendant garage who did not charge us for looking at the car. Will take it to small claims court like the other customer. Please save yourself a lot hassle. Avoid at all costs.

Bought the car in December, it died 6 days later. The problem was shown to be an old issue, so I requested MCS take the car back as I did not want to risk any further faults appearing later on down the line as they had overlooked this issue. MCS refused, despite my short term right to refuse being intact. I ended up having to go to small claims court as I was paying road tax for a undriveable car. I won the case, still no payment. Bailiffs went round - conveniently he was not in, and has 'moved'. Still trading from East Hanningfield though. MCS have been unprofessional in both their conduct and communication, and I am still trying to retrieve the £2000+ I am owed. I'm sure by now MCS will change name, and I can't find them on Companies House so probably already have done. But if not, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have seen previous similar reviews and MCS has replied with some dispute - I now know these to be lies, I wish I had seen through the glossy exterior before this 5 month mess.

MCS Motors are a very good dealership. The sales people are very good and the service was excellent. I have had issues with the engine warning light coming on so I took it back to the dealership and they changed the spark plug which initially solved the problem until the light came back on so I took the car back to my local BMW dealership and they did a diagnostic check but nothing showed up as a problem so this is still ongoing. Little bit fed up as this is quite inconvenient but I don't feel this is a fault of the dealership. I would still recommend.

MCS Motors sells used cars and is based in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford. Having looked on their website we can see that they offer a part exchange service, vehicle sourcing, finance and MOT & servicing.
