Having arranged to purchase a car from them and arrange the mot to be done.the day before I come up for it. He took my name and where I was coming from. Which is about a 2 hour trip up from the south coast. Mot was done as promised, he phoned me early the next morning to check I was coming up to pay and collect. I told him I would be there after lunch. So after my sister agreed to take time off and drive me there. We got there after lunch as I told him. He was not there only another guy was. Who informed me the car was sold this morning. I explained everything to him. So he called the guy who arrange the sale, mot my details. The same guy who had only just spoke to me this morning to confirm everything and arrange time I would be there. While waiting the other guy ask if there was another car I wanted. Which no I didn’t as I had spent lots of time and paid for checks on the car I had come up for. He finally arrived about 15 minutes later. The lady that came in early to look at cars and decided she want the car, I had arranged to buy and was sorted ready for me to collect and pay for. At no time did he think to ask if she was the person who had arranged to purchase the car. She looked at the car, like it and he sold it to her. At know time did he ask her if she was the one that had agreed on buy previously. All we kept getting from him was I’ve made a mistake. He did seem to care about mucking us about. He should put on the car it’s sold subject to collection. The only think he did after much argument about his poor service and not even check it’s the right person purchasing the car. He said he would give us £20 for petrol. Which we just laugh at and said what a insult. So he offered £50.for our petrol. So a very unhappy customer that would never trust or buy anything from them. DO NOT TRUST THEM. No wonder they have such a poor rating reviews.

My husband bought a car from here in July 2023. It was a Peugeot 308, 66 reg. In June 2024 the timing belt went on the car causing engine damage. We have just had to pay out over £4000 for repair. I contacted Mex Cars to ask for the service history as they had given 2022 but not 2023. They never returned my call.

I have contacted this car dealer 2 times in different days,regarding a £690 car they did not contact me back maybe because is a very cheap car, they just ignore my request, my idea was to book a day to see the before I buy the car. In my point of view doesn't matter if is a poor client or a rich client money is money, but apparently this car dealer they don't care is the client has only money to buy a very cheap car. Bought Nissan Note two weeks ago and was informed that car was checked and serviced. There was a stamp in the book. Took it to my car mechanic to check it out and unfortunately he confirmed that service was not done. Had to change oil and filter. Had also to change the belt, all at my expense. Make sure you are not in this position, Check it properly.

Bought a car from this garage and after checks found out the car had been in a previous accident, there was an issue with the airbag, AC, chassis etc. Basically sold me a lemon and they refused to do anything about it. Had to bear the loss. Do not be deceived by their nice and friendly nature when you meet them in person.
