A balanced perspective? I have no vested interest in Minster Cars, other than I trust the owner however, having personally been on the receiving end of a poor review on the internet, I can't help but wonder - what was the other side of the story here? I've now bought 2 cars from Minster Cars. The most recent purchase March 23 2019, a fabulous Mercedes E500 Elegance. Initially my wife and I were looking for an SLK, you can't just call your trusted used car dealer and expect to pick one up that day. So, we had a conversation with Oz at Minster, he was very knowledgable and advised us what to look for on the market, good grief, the man even checked the history and value of 2 cars for me. Without success in finding the right car, we paid Oz a visit on the way home from a disappointing car seeking trip to Birmingham. By chance, he happened to have a beautiful E500 outside his office. I asked him about the car and was puzzled why he hadn't mentioned it to me before? "Because it's not the model you were looking for", he replied. Well, most car dealers would try and sell you anything to get a sale, but, this guy has ethics, not common today, unfortunately. Needless to say, we bought the car! *So, here's where my experience and perspective differs from this buyers review. A day later I could hear an annoying rattle coming from the front of the engine. I had my local service guy take a look and he concluded that the crank shaft pulley needed replacing and that it was a common fault with the big V8 motor. I called Oz, had a quick chat, told him that I'd had the car seen by a Mercedes service centre and the cost to replace was £200. "OK, book it in and I'll call them now and pre-pay the bill"! So... I'm puzzled, by this reviewers comments. It's not helpful, in fact it is damaging to a business, sometimes out of all proportion to the actual complaint or customer dissatisfaction. We should be cautious about how we review businesses online. I doubt this business is much affected by one bad review and, somehow, I have serious doubts about the authenticity of it. If you want a fair deal and you want to be treated with respect and integrity, and they have a car you are interested in, give Minster Cars a call. I have already asked the company to source yet another vehicle for me. You can't go wrong! Phil Meadows - Lincoln

I agree with Phil. This characterisation of Oz and his business does not correspond to my experience at all: I gave him a glowing review when we purchased a Volvo from him in part exchange just over a year ago. Ironically I came across this comment as part of a google search for Oz's contact details because I want to recommend him to a friend!
