I got a land rover freelander2 from Mark. The whole transaction was done professionally and friendly. The car itself was clean and is a great runner. Mark is a genuine man and if l get another car l would definitely go to him. I live in stranraer and he brought it half way to save me going down to Rotherham. All in all it was a great transaction all round.

Hi I just wanted to say thanks for being so patient with me and helping me purchase my new car from you guys. I was very nervous in buying a car and wasn’t sure what to look out for but my mind was out at ease when purchasing a car off MPD. Very friendly and no pressures sales made my whole experience great. Mark of MPD Cars appears nice, but in fact he is rude and ignorant. We bought a car only a few weeks ago now and we asked if it needed its timing belt done as it wasnt in the pack of full service history (it barely existed never mind full history) it took 2 weeks for him to tell us it hadn't been done. We said we would gi halves to get the problem resolved quickly but now he said he will not pay half as why should he. Since then the the throttle gave up power while being driven and had an engine fault so had to get the AA out to find it's either the pedal or throttle bodies. This was not a pleasant experience losing all power and thank goodness we weren't on the motorway! We have given mark several opportunities to do the right thing but he is just trying to let it wash over I believe. Do not buy from this company! I wish I had read reviews before buying!

We are having a similar problem. The gearbox on the car is faulty and they have tried several times to fix it. We want a refund as the car is not fit for purpose. We have quoted the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Which allows them 1 attempt to fix it and they have ignored us. The car is not particularly expensive, but I suspect that we will have to resort to legal action to get a refund. I reiterate the above comment. Don't buy a car from these people. The after care is useless and they fob you off with excuses.

I Returned my vehicle to MPD Cars that had many many faults! At the start of this situation mark “the owner” point blank refused to do any repairs to the vehicle,his answer to me was it’s a £2000 car what do you expect me to do with that price range a car! Even though the car was offered with a 3 months warranty! At the end of this problem I ended up with a full refund for the vehicle because of legal reasons! I advise anyone not to purchase a vehicle from this dealer! All he is interested in is the sale of the vehicle! Nothing else

Hi, Sorry for the random response. I am just wondering what the end goal was for this ? I only ask as I brought a car off them (didn't see this review first) and I have had a few issues. I have only had it 15 days so due to the customer legal rights they have to either fix it or take it back. Just wondering if you ever got anywhere with Mark ? thanks

Recently bought a car from here, all nicey when buying. After sales care is shocking! Does not answer calls. Issues with car that he said were not his problem. We even said we would go halves to get it sorted quicker which we shouldn't have to do with it having 3 months warranty. Avoid this friendly salesman at all costs. Does not know anything about cars!

I don't believe this review because this was not like my experience at all. I bought a car from Mark and had no trouble at all, either buying or running it for the past three years. I am also highly suspicious when buyers do not supply their names 'anonymous' could be anyone. Anyone trying to destroy a business. It's not fair. If you have a complaint, step up and put your name to it.
