I purchased a KIA Ceed from this dealership earlier this year for £6,663 after shopping around for some time. The salesman I dealt with, Sam, was helpful throughout the initial purchase and, in fairness, I have no reason to believe he had anything to do with the issues that followed. I am not local to the area and had heard mixed reviews from friends who were familiar with the dealership, but I decided to take the chance because the car was an upgraded model from my previous vehicle and appeared to be a good deal. Unfortunately, the problems started almost immediately. From the day the car was delivered, the clutch felt unusually high. As I had never driven this particular model before, I initially put this down to simply being different from my previous car. However, within around six weeks, the clutch failed completely. An independent garage inspected the vehicle and deemed it unsafe to drive. What followed was a lengthy and frustrating process trying to get the issue resolved. I was initially expected to return the vehicle to the dealership for the warranty repair, which would have meant driving a vehicle that had been independently deemed unsafe approximately 120 miles back to the dealership. Quite how that was considered a reasonable or practical solution is beyond me. After considerable back and forth, the dealership eventually agreed to contribute £300 towards the repair. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the problems. Shortly afterwards, the glow plugs also required replacement. Within approximately two months of purchasing a £6,663 vehicle, I had already spent close to £800 on repairs, even after the dealership's £300 contribution. Then, only a few weeks later, the final issue arose when an AdBlue fault appeared, accompanied by a warning that the vehicle would eventually stop and not restart if the problem wasn't resolved. Once again, I had the vehicle independently inspected. I was advised that it required a new sensor and pump — another potentially expensive repair. I was also advised that simply removing the AdBlue fault wasn't an acceptable solution, as the fault could return and could potentially create issues with insurance. At this point, I had reached the end of my patience. I had bought this vehicle in good faith, believing I was purchasing a reliable upgraded model. Instead, within a matter of weeks, I had experienced a complete clutch failure, glow plug issues and then a significant AdBlue system fault. I gave the dealership every opportunity to resolve matters reasonably. I paid for independent inspections, paid towards repairs myself, repeatedly contacted the dealership and tried to find practical solutions. It ultimately took me making it clear that I was prepared to pursue the matter legally before the dealership agreed to accept the vehicle back and provide a refund. That, for me, speaks volumes. I cannot prove what the dealership knew about the condition of the vehicle before selling it, so I will leave people to draw their own conclusions. What I can say is that the number and nature of the faults that appeared almost immediately have left me with absolutely no confidence in the vehicle or the dealership. A “good deal” is not a good deal when you pay £6,663 and are then left spending hundreds of pounds within weeks, dealing with repeated faults and spending your own time fighting to get problems resolved. I went into this purchase in good faith and gave the dealership the benefit of the doubt despite hearing mixed opinions beforehand. Unfortunately, my own experience has left me feeling that I made a serious mistake. For me, trust is everything when buying a second-hand vehicle. Once that trust has gone, it is very difficult to get back. I would not buy from this dealership again and would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing from them carries out extensive checks and gets the vehicle independently inspected before handing over their money. For me, the fact that the vehicle ultimately had to be returned and refunded after everything I experienced says more than any five-star review ever could. The salesman Sam was helpful, and I want to make clear that my review is about my overall experience with the dealership and the handling of the problems, rather than an individual member of staff. Unfortunately, my experience was one of significant expense, stress, inconvenience and ultimately a complete loss of confidence in the dealership.

Back in August I purchased a Mercedes from Nationwide Vehicle Finance. The car was clean and in good condition and up to now I have had no issues with it at all. The dealers were very helpful and were able to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family.
