Just phoned to get some reassurance before purchasing a car that if it wasn't as expected I would be able to return - I really liked the vehicle had the money transferred into my account to make the purchase but was met with a tirade of defensive ramblings from someone who presented themselves as the Director of the company!!! Basically telling me its an 11 year old car and obviously would have problems with it and if I wasn't sure not to bother- so guess what - I didn't. Then I decided to check out reviews on the company and there's so so many complaints about the Director. So glad I didn't do business with them which is a shame because I really liked the vehicle but can't imagine what I'd come up against if I did have a problem!!! Directors like that dont deserve to have successful companies especially with whats going on in the world I hope the Director reads this review as i would like to thank him for stopping me making a massive mistake by spending my hard earned money at his business

Poor service overall, multiple problems with the car just months after purchasing. The owner himself rushed the sale as he “had 10 other customers to deal with” that day. Very arrogant. Under full warranty and still had to pay £100 myself towards fixing a problem which should not have occurred.
I don't really know where to start with this company, and like someone else mentioned the Director. The car i bought couldn't of been more falsely advertised if they had tried. There was no spare wheel, the window in the back didn't work, one of the back doors wouldn't open, and the rubbers around the drivers door was practically gone! With all that said, I decided to buy anyway as I believed I could rectify the problems myself. After 800 miles, the clutch completely failed and collapsed. I contacted Nottingham car sales to be told I had burnt it out myself, 800 miles and I had done this amount of damage! I was told that there was nothing they could do. After seeking advice from a clutch specialist I was reassured that this was a problem that had occurred way before I bought it, no possible way that 800 miles had caused it. I went back to nottingham (100 miles later) to speak to the director personally and try to come to some sort of agreement. What a waste of time, his response was "I wouldn't have a million pound company if I fixed every car i sold". Arrogant doesn't even come close to how I would describe this individual, he is an absolute disgrace. STAY AWAY an please dont buy from him.

Did you have any joy with the company? Did you send formal letter? I’m in a position myself and would like as much information before I speak to them directly.
Travelled quite a distance today to buy a vehicle that was falsely described as immaculate, when the exterior clearly was not! We were most shocked to be addressed by the Director in such an arrogant and rude manner when enquiring if the price could be adjusted to reflect the obvious damages to the vehicle. Buyers be aware that this place should be approached with caution at all times.
Avoid avoid avoid. Used misleading and aggressive tactics to sell cars. Claimed they knew all the history of car they were selling. Found out days after purchase that car had significant accident damage and had also been repaired in places by the dealer. Attempted to return the vehicle and owner became aggressive, refused to uphold consumer rights and said would only speak to our lawyers. Luckily we had bought with finance so had protection, Finance company ordered an independent inspection which found significant/major previous accident damage and poor repairs. Dealer still refused to accept rejection and was obstructive. Finance company ultimately accepted rejection and took the car away themselves. Refunded in full and paid additional compensation by finance company. Others may not be so lucky, AVOID. Wish we had read other reviews on this site before purchasing,

After e mailing twice to arrange a test drive an to say I would like to purchase a certain vehicle I phoned them to confirm vehicle was available and that I was on my way there, I arrived to find that the car was not there. I was first told the car had been jump started and taken for a drive to get it ready. After around 10 minutes waiting another person told me that the car was out for a test drive, and if I was lucky enough I might get a chance to buy it. When I explained the previous e mails and phone call I was told unlucky it's first come first served. A wasted effort. Would not remotely recommend Nottingham Car.Com
We brought a car from Nottingham Car.com about 6 weeks ago and have encounter a number of issues. 1st the brake discs are warped and should of never passed an mot. 2nd the aircon doesn't work we've had this regassed and still no fix and the garage has said its very likely the condenser is broken. 3rd the car keeps smelling of diesel flumes in the cab when sat at traffic lights. Suspected exhaust leak, but this is intermitant and doesn't do this all the time. 4th we where told it had blue tooth hands free installed and this was mentioned in the car description as having blue tooth but this hasn't even been installed in the car. All in all we are not happy with this purchase as we paid over the odds as this was a low millage good condition car and has ended what looks like costing a small fortune to repair all that is wrong.
This company don't even deserve a 1 star rating. This has been my first experience in buying a car and it couldn't have been any worse. Be aware!!! I had found a lovely little Fiat 500 on AutoTrader, and wanting to see the car in person. So last Saturday, me and my partner took a trip down to their showroom to have a closer look at it. My partner has specialised in car body repairs and mechanics for over 11 years now, so it was important for him to inspect the car especially with it being my first car. Having a look around the car, he'd picked up on a few bits of damage to the car. Firstly, the sun roof had a chip in it. Secondly, one of the underneath quarter panels had a bowed out dent, where someone had clearly not positioned the jack correctly. Thirdly, there were several crack lines in the bumper. We test drove the car and we also picked up on another issue, the brake pads. It was clear that they needed replacing as they were making a funny noise every time the brakes were pushed. The sales rep had advised us that it was because he washes the cars every week, and the disks had built up a fair bit of rust. LOL. It was very clear that this was not the case. We got back to the office and asked if there was any negotiating on prices for the issues that we had found, he told us there would be no negotiating and all prices are fixed as his boss is a 'tight person'. We were slightly disappointed, but still happy to go ahead because the car was exactly what I was looking for the colour and everything. We signed the docs and made a deposit. The sales rep then asked us when we would like to collect the car, and we told him we could collect the car on Wednesday. He said that was fine and that the car would be ready to collect then. The car was paid for in full by the following Monday. So then when Wednesday had come, we phoned up to make sure they had changed the brake pads. This is when we was told the car would not be ready for another few days. When we was told this, it had set off alarm bells as we know that brake pads only take an hour to change over. I asked to speak to the manager, and wanted to know why the car hadn't even had any work done to it even though they had been paid on Monday and knew we wanted to collect on Wednesday. I spoke with one of the company directors, who was very very VERY rude and unprofessional. He told us that it wasn't the brake pads, and that instead it was Shock Absorbers which it clearly wasn't. I made him aware we knew exactly what the problem was and he then went on to quiz me about my line of work and told me he'd been doing this for 50 years and he knows what hes talking about. This really aggravated the situation, and upset me as it was the car i really wanted. My partner then spoke to him and told him we would be coming to collect the car, and that we didn't want any of his 'mechanics' doing any work on the car because we didn't trust them. He then started threatening to cancel our finance agreement. We made it clear we wanted the car, just no work doing to it. He agreed to let us take the car without any work being made, but said we had to sign a disclaimer which was understandable. So we set off, on our 85 mile journey to Nottingham to then be called up when we're 6 miles away and told that he has contacted the finance company and cancelled our agreement. We wasn't given a reason why, he just told us that if we didn't have confidence in his mechanics doing the work that then this isn't the car for us and that we should be buying from elsewhere. It was really upsetting to have to go through all this effort of 10 hour drives there and back, just to be told the agreement had been cancelled. The way we was dealt with was absolutely disgusting. Please be aware before buying anything from this company, very unprofessional.
We brought a seat Ibiza which when we picked it up it had red paint on the bumper to then be told a red car had bumped it. Took it back with electric faults and engine to which then the owner shouted in our faces that he'll see us in court and tried to pull the wool over our eyes. We were told we did nothing but moan from the beginning absolutely shocking the whole experience.

Jodie in response to Owner shouted in our faces!!!
Just wondering what the outcome of this was for you? I’ve had the car a year now but major problems to cost thousands have been pointed out and said it was before I was sold vehicle. Just need to k ow how to go about this if I’m to try and get any payment or work done.

Contacted trading standards and sent over evidence got a full refund and returned the car.
Nottingham Car.com are helpful in sales but afterwards found vehicle had many faults. If asked for details on condition and been told lies, air conditioning pipe cut clean through corrosion and wear bad with bolts needing cutting off and on and on.
