The dealer is honest and dedicated. I got the car I needed

​I spotted a car I’d been looking for online, advertised by Nuneaton Car Sales. After sending an email inquiry, I received a call back the same day. I traveled all the way up from Devon to view the vehicle. ​During my inspection, I noticed on the check list that the brake pads on one axle were below recommendation. They initially offered a £50 discount, which I wasn't happy with given the average repair cost is easily £100+. To their credit, they did end up replacing the pads before I collected the car on June 11th. However, upon collection, I noticed the wheels appeared significantly more corroded than when I had first viewed it. ​The car came with a 3-month warranty. After driving roughly 200 miles, a dashboard warning popped up indicating a fault with the electric traction system. I contacted Nuneaton Car Sales, and they instructed me to get a quote for them to approve. I reached out to several local garages, but the only one able to book it in was Citroën Taunton. Because I urgently needed the vehicle for work, I instructed them to proceed. ​Citroën Taunton diagnosed further issues and had to replace both the main traction battery and the auxiliary battery to rectify the faults. I sent Nuneaton Car Sales the invoice for the urgent completed work alongside a quote for the remaining repairs required to make the car fully roadworthy. Nuneaton Car Sales refused to pay for the completed repairs, claiming they hadn't approved them first. Even when I suggested a reasonable contribution towards the costs, they refused, the 3-month warranty included with the purchase of the car is really for local buyers and use of their own mechanics. After sales service is everything; the sales team are very good, but that support completely evaporated the moment I drove off the lot. It has now cost me over £1,000 to get a 4-year-old car running. Next time I will purchase locally.

The car was advertised on Autotrader and was the vehicle we wanted. Dealt with Lewis I think, very nice. He treated us very well. There was no hard push in anyway shape or form, showed us around the car and let us take it out on our own. Went back couple of days later after some bits were looked at. It was nice not be hounded and I liked the fact they weren’t pushy. Still waiting for the logbook but I’d give a solid 5* rating for Nuneaton Car Sales.
