Oakdene – The Real-Life Wormwood Motors from Matilda I put my Range Rover up for sale on Motorway, and Oakdene was the buyer. Unfortunately, the experience was far from smooth. Firstly, they were scheduled to collect the car at 12 pm. After over an hour of chasing, they finally arrived at 2 pm — more than two hours late. This was frustrating since I had rushed home from work to be ready for noon. The lack of communication and punctuality felt disrespectful. Secondly, despite agreeing on a fair price weeks in advance, Oakdene lowballed me by nearly 20% on the day of collection. They claimed minor cosmetic issues and the replacement of two quarter rear headlights would cost over £4,000. Which from seeing car advertised have not been replaced! A small discount would have been understandable, but this was excessive and unreasonable. I was left with little choice but to accept their offer. From reading other reviews, it seems this pattern repeats: exaggerating damage and trying to shift blame onto customers. This wheeler-dealer approach feels more like manipulation than business. I’ll be reporting Oakdene to Motorway and advise others to proceed with caution.
Amazing! We’ve just taken delivery of a fabulous Range Rover Sport, the whole process from start to finish was slick and effortless. Our sales contact Dan was very knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in his job, a real asset to the company. We were a little apprehensive putting down a small deposit to enable us to “view” the car, but this was all forgotten during the “great reveal” of our new car in their professionally custom lit showroom - wow did it pop !! The quality of the polish was nothing short of perfect, a mirror finish! As promised there was no hard sell, after the test drive, the decision was all ours, but this was an easy one to call. As a perfectionist, I did notice three small cosmetic issues, Dan swiftly said “we will collect the car and sort them out asap” which we were more than happy with. The paperwork was completed within a couple of minutes, then we were off on our way home. It’s a shame there is no 6 star rating. Well done Oakdene 👏👍
Just bought a Range Rover Sport from Oakdene Collection and honestly, it couldn't have been easier. The whole process was super smooth and the team made everything really straightforward. Big shoutout to Oakdene Collection for making the experience so easy. Would defiantly recommend them if you're thinking about getting a new car.

How much did they pay you to say that!!!
Collected my car from Oakdene and couldn't be happier. The condition is the best i have ever seen and there attention to detail was phenomenal. i will be back in the future for my next vehicle.
Could everyone that has had bad dealings with this company get in-touch with me please, as I'm making a case against them, to put lairing, Scammers like this out of business. They shouldn't be trading There absolutely Disgusting!! wen to collect my car after Dan telling me we are the best at what we do and then on the day of collection it, it wasn't valeted properly, scratches on the car, trim hanging off. after stating these issues they delivered the car to me the following day. I drove the car at the weekend to find a banging coming from the rear axle when i turn left or right but it was intermittent and there was a vibaration through the car when I drove it and the parking sensor sticks on when in reverse. I told them about the issues and they said do I know a garage that could look at it, I said I know a place next to my mates place that does Range Rovers. They said great get it booked in. after waiting nearly 2 weeks to get the car in ( at this point I hadn't been driving the car as it felt unsafe to use . they told me the bush arm needed changing as it is worn ( and Oakdene put and MOT on this car 2 days before I collected it ( dodgy Mot place Paul Meeks Mot's) the tyres were perished and needed changing and they said the first thing to do with the banging on the rear end was to change the transfer box oil as that is the cheapest option to see if it cures it. I went back to Scott the sales manager and he said he will put it through the warranty company, after many calls and no calls back to see what was happening I took the car back to them and asked for my money back, scott then said don't worry leave your car here and I'll get the repairs done, I had a go at him and siad why didn't you just do that in the first place. He gave me a hand full of promises and said don't call us all the time to see when it will be done, we will call you as there busy. ( now we know why).. After 2 weeks I hadn't heard anything so i took all my invoice and paperwork back to them and told Scott I want my money back I've had enough. With this he was full of sorries and promised me they would have the car completed and it was in the body shop as we speak offered me his had and said the car will be right for you. he promised to fill my tank up with fuel and the adblue. The car was delivered back to me the following Friday with no phone calls noticed as I had ask for, The car had 2 scratches on the rear passengers door, the car was filthy, they had driven my car over 300 miles and used 3/4 of a tank of fuel and the ad blue was still low. There was grease marks on the door and near the stop/start button and the rear sensor still stuck on!! I called and went mad at Scott and he said we'll get the car booked back in, I said your having a laugh. I said you can come and collect the car on Tuesday and keep it and want my money back. He said he will collect the car Tuesday at 7am. mean while that evening I drove the car for the 1st time in 3 1/2 weeks and guess what... yep the banging sound was still there and the vibration though out the car. I called Scott and told him I want my money back and he promised me the Director joe would call me on Monday afternoon as he's the only one who can authorise that. I never got a call from Joe the owner and Director, but Scott at 6.36pm saying he spoke with Joe and he's going to ask the finance company to send an engineer out to look at the car. now I've got to wait for up to 8 weeks for the finance company to send an engineer out to assess the car. The car is sat on my drive costing me in payments, road Tax and Insurance. This Company wants putting out of business.

Can I ask if you involved CAB and was your complaint raised to Trading Standards?
Reserved a car online. Was told I had to collect within a week in order for them to have the sale on this months data. Travelled 2 hours to view and collect and when I arrived car had been very poorly valeted with. The freshly refurbed wheels were a dodgy repay over the top of the previous failed paint. (Also described on the add as diamond cut but were not) Accident damage to front passenger light and wing with what looked like blue marker pen used to cover the missing paint. Internal plastic bracket for the headlight melted to allow it to sit straight. Rear passenger wheel arch trim coming away. Claimed to have been machine polished but no evidence of this as swirl marks visible everywhere. Was told on the phone previously that the 2 front tyres would be replaced as they were advisories on previous MOT yet they were not and the outside edge was smooth. Sales manager Scot couldn’t be bothered and was unhelpful and kept me waiting far longer then needed. Claimed the owner had offered a cash reduction on price to drive away with the faults yet it didn’t cover the none existent ceramic coat that had never been applied (obvious due to the state of the exterior) Scot was given multiple chances to fix issues but there was zero interest in doing so.

mate where was your mot done... i'm building a case against them all oak dene and the dodgy mot station
Avoid this company at all costs, typical sales people just after commission for upsell ceramic coatings and Warranties’ sold me a RANGE Rover sport full of faults told me before I picked the vehicle up it was gonna be checked over on a top of the Range diagnostic machine’ kept me waiting 4 hours for the car Told me that it was been meticulously checked out Only to go into limp mode on the way home with No ad blue, One tyre on the back with the tread perished and coming away from the sidewalk bearing in mind it was MOT the day before, Side step not working and had been switched off from inside not for me to notice, six stone chips in windscreen had to be replaced on my insurance ,door seal rubber damaged, front air deflector missing told me to take it to a garage to get it repaired when I spoke to Scott Adlington sales manager but when I phone them up about paying for the repairs, he denied giving me any permission to get it fixed £2100 later the vehicle is still full of faults and black horse are now dealing with this company leave them well alone, i’m trying to reject the vehicle with the finance company not happy.

mate did they put a new mot on the car? If so where as i'm building a case against them
Bought a car from here, from start to finish I had the best customer service ever. I couldn't be happier. Big thank you to Mr Jordan price,
I bought a Mercedes 250d from them with black k gloss wheels I accidentally scuffed the front n/s wheel so took it back to them to see if they'd repair it and I said that I'd pay but Scott said that they'd pay if I gave them a good review 2 days later I saw that the other wheels where losing the paint on them itcwas peeling off for no apparent reason so I took the car back but I had to rely on the brilliant Andy Pickersgill who fought my corner to get the wheels done properly I took the car too 2 independent alloy wheel specialists who said that the wheels hadn't been done properly because they hadn't been shot blasted so the paint would stick to the alloys Eventually thanks to Andy they were done but I've now just found out that the car isn't taxed after being told infact it's on the invoice that it was taxed until June 2025 😡😡😡😡 Massive thanks to Andy for being on my side because the sales team aren't
I bought a Porsche Macan from these scammers and was sold to me with full service and full M.O.T, with no advisorys, on my way home it started to rain it was then I realised my wipers were basically shredded, didn’t clean anything had to go to Halfords on way home to buy some, got my tyres checked and they only had 3mm tread which is a advisory on a MOT, but the worst thing was they sold me the car but didn’t have the logbook, Tom the sales man just lied and lied even tried to blame the dvla, AVOID this place at all costs they are complete SCAMMERS
