Penton Salisbury is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Problems: They advertised that the vehicle price was inclusive of VAT when it wasn't. One of the keys did not work and needed re-programming (a fault found be me, as they didn't check the keys), the window makes a terrible screech when opening (found by me), and I had to fix that myself as they did not even bother replying to my concern. The vehicle was advertised as having 27000 miles, but had 28000 (not the end of the world, but the salesman admitted that the staff used a vehicle for personal use - their own house moves). Advertised vehicle as being a Euro 6 engine, which is paramount to avoiding £12.50 daily charges for driving in central London, and also affects the value of the vehicle. However, the V5 has data missing. Dealing with Citroen to obtain the missing details was like liasing with a circus. After countless correspondence, they have requested £200 from me to get the correct documentation! Been trying to liase with the manager, but he hasn't returned my call, or replied to my emails. Never had this problem with any other dealership
No customer service skills at all, Once they have your money they don’t care and the manager is magical never in but promises you the world when you ever see him in person, but when it comes to getting the job done, he’s never in and no one has any idea so your stood looking like an idiot. I would highly recommend you stay away from Penton Salisbury! Go elsewhere!!
From our initial phone call to Penton Salisbury (we wanted to view a used car we had seen on line) the salesperson we spoke to, Dean, was very professional and efficient. He answered all our questions and arranged a test drive to suit us as we were travelling a fair distance. His follow up calls were appreciated as he kept us informed of what was happening. On collection Dean was prompt, efficient and the paperwork was ready. Thank you Dean!
I don’t normally have the time to give reviews but I want to help people from my experience with Penton Salisbury. My suggestion would be to go elsewhere. Dean would be an unreliable person.
The car I purchased had a (so called) "Full" service when purchased 5 months ago and have had nothing but problems, faults with tyres, wheels, brakes, clutch and after I contacted them they didn't want to know about anything. Kept promising to phone me back as the person I needed to speak to was never available...... Took the car to an independent Audi specialist and the Air filter was so clogged with dirt he was amazed the car actually ran, it is the ORIGINAL Audi fitting from new, not bad on a 4 year old car. The internal pollen filter still had the manufacturers seal on the box so that has never been changed. Wouldn't purchase another car from them if my life depended on it. Had plenty of chances to put things right but they didn't want to know. MAJOR wheel and tyre fault no more than 48 hours after purchase and explained that it was to dangerous to drive, even the tyre place in Portsmouth advised against driving the car, I phoned Penton while I was there....there reply...”Nothing we can do unless you bring it back for our technicians to look at it.” Would these be the same ones that carried out the service. Purchase a car from them at your own peril.
Be warned that Sailsbury Suzuki are very unhelpful! We purchased a car that failed within a few months of owning it. They want your money but offer no aftercare. The service manager is exceptionally rude and obnoxious. Not a good ambassador for Citroen.
I bought a car from here in January and up to now I have had no issues at all. It was nice and clean an din good shape and up to now I have had no major issues with it, just the stereo but I am booked in to get that sorted. I would happily recommend this dealership to anyone. The dealers were very helpful and friendly.
Stay clear of this dealership they are happy to take your money and run. I have been chasing documents for months and still not received anything. There administration is like its non exsistant they completley ignore you and refuse to return your calls and they lie to your face that they have sent documentation to your address. Never again will i deal with this dealership.
Penton Motor Group in Salisbury are quick to take your money and run but then do not have the decency to respond to any correspondence. Stay well clear of these.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. We bought a car from here nearly 4 weeks ago and despite assurances that it was in full working order, it has broken down with our children in it twice. In accordance with our consumer rights, we asked for our money back a week ago and they are still holding on to it. We are a normal hard working family who have been treated appallingly by the staff, with unreturned calls and emails the norm. They have caused us untold stress and nobody seems to care at all. Avoid Penton Motor Group in Salisbury at all costs.
