Horrendous experience buying from Peter Ashton Car Sales. Car was a death trap and dealers refused to take car back or follow legal requirements. Took case to small claims and won. These have been doing it for too many years and need to be stopped. instead They just change name of garage to preston motorcity and start again.
Only phoned with a couple of questions but rude and unprofessional sales staff couldn't wait to hang up on me.
Went to have a look at a few low mileage fiestas and polos bought a 1 owner fiesta with fsh at a very good price.

Peter Ashton Car Sales. Shocking. Awful. It seems like I've had the same experience as many. After handing over nearly a grand in cash, the car from id bought quickly revealed itself as an absolute death trap, literally less than a week of driving it. My mechanic said it cannot be driven. The faults are as long as your arm. And wouldn't pass an MOT even with it being sold as having 12 months MOT! The last time I drove it I was concerned it would blow up. Imagine if Id had kids in the car and that happened??? I have contacted the dealer several times and explained how the evidence I have and steps taken , including two formal letters tracked and signed for and recorded phone calls, will be presented to the small claims court if they do not refund me. I am not letting this drop at all, seems like they've been getting away with it for too long. Selling illegal death trap cars and then using lies and manipulation to get out of giving people back their hard earned money. This is going to the courts and the Lancashire Evening Post.

Hi yes go ahead report and take action I list 500 quid for a car that lasted 1 day was only for for scrap , these guys need closing down and locking up I reported to trading standards why are they still operating . Email me if need my story too.

Im sure the consumer rights act states that a car can be returned for a full refund if it is not as described, especially within the 1st 30 days, how did you get on?

They have been to court and sentenced. Not prison but banned from being directors and community service unfortunately company house looks like brother taken over.
Poor service from Peter Ashton Car Sales. Botched MOT. Cost me a fortune. Seemed like a good value car, arranged to pick up a week after purchase, car not ready and arranged day to come back. Returned twice more and on second occasion waited around for two hours before being told to come another day as car not ready. Offered half tank as gesture but it was still empty when I was finally able to pick up! The garage carried out mot but exhaust dropped off two weeks after purchase. My local garage tell me it should never have passed mot, it is unsafe and illegal to drive. It is completely rusted and rotten underneath and the tyres are shot. Would cost more than the value of the car to repair. Extremely disappointed. Completely ripped off!! Do not trust this garage!!!!

Same experience. Car sold to me is a death trap. They are refusing to refund and co-operate. The fact the car faulted so quickly works entirely in my favour in evidencing that they have breached their duties under the law as a trader. I am continuing to pursue them for this cowboy behaviour and will be taking it to the small claims court. I am not backing down, seems like they have gotten away with it for too long.
Lied to by staff, multiple faults. NEVER deal with these people, they sold me a rubbish car and refused me a refund.

Yep absolutely cowboys reported to trading standards keep reporting them lookthem up on companies house etc.
The service here was fabulous. As I walked in, I was instantly greeted with smiles by the staff, they made it easy to find the car I wanted and I am happy with the car. I would recommend this place for those who don't want any hassle
