I have just purchased a fantastic Kia Sportage it is great looks like a brand new car, Ian the car salesman was very helpful he gave me what I wanted in terms of price and repayments, I would recommend pg sports to anyone who needs a car, plus the after sales care was excellent. Thanks again.

We had a horrid experience when trying to purchase a Land Rover Defender 110 advertised on there website. The advert suggested it was a "Totally Original" land rover in good condition with only one previous owner. We paid a deposit of £400 on a Thursday and arranged to visit on the Saturday afternoon. The sales staff were kind enough to stay open late for us as we had to travel far. However on arrival, it quickly became apparent that the vehicle was not in a good condition. They had trouble getting it started (immobiliser kept kicking in), the interior was in a dreadful state (rear bench seats had been chewed, carpets torn, rubber matting missing, wires hanging out of the dash) and chassis was rusted to name only a few of the problems. We were clearly disappointed and felt the description of a "Totally Original" land rover in great condition was clearly not true. I suspected a number of unofficial modifications had been made. We asked for our deposit back and the situation quickly became heated. The bullying and aggressive salesman continued to argue that the Land Rover was in great condition and that he had spent a lot of money preparing the vehicle after we had placed a deposit. This he stated included servicing, MOT and filter changes although he could provide no paperwork to prove any work had been carried out. The vehicle also had no log book. In order to retrieve our deposit we were forced to pay £100 in cash (not receipted). A hugely disappointing experience considering the distance we had travelled and not helped by unfriendly and argumentative staff.

Hello, We hope all is well. As we have explained in our responses to your reviews that you have posted on several other review sites that we can not meet all customers expectations. But what we would offer is for you to invite Land Rover or trading standards or any other governing body that has experience in the motor trade to inspect our Defender. If any report you may choose to have done shows any issues you have brought up we are willing to return your £100.00. We really don't want to get into a tit for tat situation We have responded to your other reviews and truthfully we do not want to respond to any more. This must stop now or let's move on or if you would like to arrange an inspection of the defender then we have no issue with this. Sometimes in life you must let go our opinion is different to yours in this situation which is healthy but can become unhealthy if you continue arguing the same point over and over. Never buy a car from this dealership, purchased a Toyota Hilux from them in July, on the way home I noticed a slam when the Truck changed gear, on the way to the garage the charge/ battery light came on. Truck stuck in gear, window would not go up and it needed a new alternator and fuse. I was informed the exhaust was also blowing where a quick fix had come out. Told it was a 1 owner and it was not the case as I am the third owner. Sent them email straight away, no answer, phoned and text no reply, sent 2 recorded letters no reply. Noticed that they keep removing my reviews so how many more negative reviews have they had removed. Now taking them to court. Never never buy from PG Sports And 4x4 Centre.***Update*** No Email ever received, funny that, its the first time in 12 years of having an Email address, no reply to my 2 recorded delivery letters. As I said the car is not insured, had to move it back to my old car and I would not trust the gearbox driving so far. If you have anybody in the south that you know I am more than willing to get the Truck put on the a trailer and delivered to them.

It took over 3 weeks for me to receive the car in the first place, since then any issues I've had has been met with excuses and empty promises, communication has broken down and they aren't responding to calls or emails. Service like this spoils the experience of buying a car, I wouldn't recommend them based on how I've been treated.

I bought a VW Phaeton from this dealership, being very busy and not having the time to travel to see the car I asked the dealer the following questions as I had seen three cars before hand and found common issues. 1. Are the front discs in good condition? The salesman went out checked and said very good. 2. Does the boot work OK and is the air-con working? Yes was the reply. So I placed a deposit then after asking them to confirm the answers to my questions transferred the money to them. The car was delivered by Greg who I ran back to the train station. On driving the car I noticed it was quite hot in the car so I turned down the air con. On the way to the station I turned off the motorway at 70 mph and the steering nearly wriggled out of my hands. I said to Greg 'there's something not right about the discs on the front' to which he replied 'it's got a warranty' by the time we got to the station the car was still hot inside and not cooling. So I phoned straight away but did not get an answer. After several attempts by text, e-mail and phone I got to speak to Ian who did try to help at first. I decided to take the car straight to an independent VW specialist who confirmed the front discs to be badly warped and the air con need re-gassing and the boot needed a proper sleeve to operate correctly. He also stated that at motorway speeds in the wet the car could be dangerous. After many calls,texts and e-mails Ian got back to me and that's where things went downhill fast so I contacted my local Citizens Advice?Trading Standards who advised me to put everything in writing which I did and sent it recorded delivery. PG denied receiving it despite the post office confirming that someone on the premises signed for it. To confirm my case I booked the car into my local VW main dealer who confirmed everything the independent has said. I got a quote from VW for £642.60 for the defective front discs and pads which the dealer said he would source himself. To be fair PG did send replacement discs and pads but as opposed to the OEM £642 discs they sent a much cheaper Mintex replacement. Having taken these discs along and discussed them with my independent VW specialist I decided not to fit them to this powerful car and bought the proper OEM discs out of my own pocket. I have also discovered that the auto gearbox display has a potentially serious problem with the auto gearbox display being lit up in a block the car was like this when delivered and it occasionally goes into limp mode. Now there is a possibility that PG didn't have a clue about the car they were selling me but I am sure that Greg having driven it down to me which is at least 200 miles would have noticed the steering wheel nearly jumping out of your hands when braking from motorway speeds. Plus he may not like it cool in a car and didn't notice the air-con not working and needing gassing up.
