I'm glad I found you, thank you for everything, you're the best
Car lasted 8 months. We bought a car from here 8 months ago for the wife, was a dark grey seat Ibiza diesel, £4500, and have had nothing but trouble with it, it was in an out of the garage multiple times due to cutting out and things going wrong all the time, the rac being called multiple times to help recover the vehicle, we had taken out extended warranty also and still it wasn’t enough to fix the car as everytime it went in a couple days later something else would go wrong, as far as I’m aware with the warranty it has a few grand spent back on the car from what the garage have said, rac would diagnose a problem and the garage would diagnose a different one, it started to become dangerous due to the car being unpredictable and cutting out in dangerous place, now Phillip Paul did take the car back every time to try fix it but to no avail and we was left 4.5k out of pocket with a car that lasted 8 months, we decided to get rid before the car eventually wouldn’t work at all and we would be left with scrap, Phillip Paul bought it back from us for 2k so we are now down 2.5k no car and these are up 2.5k and the car back. The wife was obviously upset and doesn’t want to use the dealership again. I’d imagine a response will be made to this review but what is stated here is factual.
Recently bought a car from them as a distance sale - and it was fine, albeit with dangerously overinflated tyres (4bar vs 2.3bar) and a tyre pressure warning light on. However I had inadvertently paid a deposit (£250) twice and it was just sad to watch as they did their best to try and hang on to it - and even then only pay £200 back of it with no explanation - buying a used car does rely on some element of trust in the ethics of those you are buying from . . . . . . . . . . and ok they have got my £50 as I have better things to do than keep hassling them - but I certainly wouldn't buy from them again.

Can't recommend them. Bought a car that had several advisors on the previous MOT. Asked for them to be sorted before collecting which they said they'd do. Went to collect the car and they hadn't been sorted. Promised that they would sort within the next few weeks and nothing but excuses and cancelled appointments. If you want good after sales service go elsewhere.
I recently bought a vehicle from this dealer. Sales person and team were brilliant. However, there were some issues that I wanted rectified. Failed to return telephone calls. Wrote a letter of complaint to the Directors, not acknowledged. Giving them the benefit of the doubt in that they might not have received it. A copy of the letter was handed to one of the Directors. Still no response. If these are the standards by which they operate, then no way will I consider buying from them again. When you collect the vehicle you've bought, that is where the interest stops. Appalling after sales care.
Very helpful as always.. Cannot fault.. Have used philip Paul over the years An especially good customer experience with Jay on making our purchase recently
Great until car arrived, brought under distance selling rules, inside was a pig sty, took 3 full valets to get to a usable state where you did need to wear a has mat suit to drive it , steering wheel was white with human skin and body oils as well as most touched surfaces, smell of smoke was overwhelming cigarette burns on carpet, driver door card and centre console, only had half of a DRL light working, requires new headlight to fix it at £1000, front brake discs needed immediate replacement ( please note this garage do there own MOT's which is not a very independent check of the condition of the car ) no advisories on discs on mot !, No Sat Nav SD card, handbook was for a Golf Plus , bit of trim missing from the centre console, was promised replacement SD card, owners handbook and trim part, nothing has arrived !, refuses to repair the headlight saying most of it works so our only option is small claims court now. Make Aurther Daley to look good.

We bought our citroen Picasso in December from Phillip Paul Used Car Centre. The whole transaction was easy. We live in Warwickshire, a two hour drive away. After the first week we noticed juddering in first gear we had the 3 month warrenty so booked it in with a local garage. We were told it was the fly wheel. We needed the car so booked in the work to be done 2 weeks later. After a day in the garage and no work being done we were told it would be another 3 days before they could do the work. We called Phillip Paul and they said we could bring the car back and they would have a look at the car. They provided us with a courtesy car. The next day we received a call they had replaced the fly wheel and clutch, no questions asked and the car was ready to collect. The staff were fantastic! Given this was a used car ( 6 years old) the service was like that of buying a brand new car. Nothing was too much trouble. We will upgrade our car in a couple years and will absolutely return to this dealer to do so. Well worth the 2 hour trip! Outstanding car dealership. Highly recommended.

Helpful staff at Phillip Paul Used Car Centre in Owestry and they have a wide range of cars.
Bought a BMW 3 series in Dec.2017 with no service history for the last two years but was told the car had been checked over and was fine. I asked for an oil change and this was agreed as these engines are very fussy about their oil. When picking the car up I forgot to ask for evidence of at least the oil change as I try to keep a service history on all my cars. A week later visited the dealer and was told it was the salesman's day off but he would contact me. No call so phoned a few days later and was told the salesman was busy but would phone me back but still no call. In the meantime I had looked at the oil and thought it pretty unlikely that it had been changed. In May after 2.100 miles I put the car in for a service with a local garage. On picking it up was told the garage had changed every filter as they were all in a mess with the air filter (which I saw) probably the dirtiest they had ever seen. When I bought the car the inside and the outside was perfect but clearly no money had been spent on the mechanical's. The timing chain is a known weakness on these cars and if it had snapped due to not being serviced for about 26,000 miles then the £300 max warranty given would not have even covered the parts.
