I recently asked Philip to review a TVR Cerbera for me quite a distance away and at short notice. We had a chat on the phone before he went, to run me through his inspection process. He clearly knew the cars well and the issues that can arise. Once he had been he immediately sent me several video clips with commentary covering all the major areas. We had a brief chat on his journey home which was followed up by a written report and then a much longer in depth call detailing and describing the car. Philip was happy to recommend the car to me but for unrelated issues I decided not to go ahead with it. Through the whole experience I found Philip to be straight talking, very knowledgeable and able to be pragmatic regarding the merits or otherwise of certain cars. We had a long chat about other cars I had seen and he was able to point out the pros and cons of each to a level I had not considered, such as engine and specification differences. Philip has continued to make himself available to me including an extra in person visit to a car near to where he lived. I am very happy to recommend him to inspect a TVR and would have confidence that a car he recommended would be a good one.

I asked Phil to inspect a TVR Chimaera I was interested in but it was in SW London and I am in Scotland so an inspection seemed sensible. From the first time I contacted Phil he was friendly, courteous and, most importantly, very knowledgable about the marque. The inspection was extremely thorough, covering all aspects of the cars bodywork / chassis / electrics and his attention to detail is obvious as some of the things he mentioned , I have had trouble seeing, now that I have got the car. If you are going to have a sports car then it really is a no brainer to get Phil to look over it for you for peace of mind and also to avoid huge repair bills. Thanks Phil !!

Simply put, I wouldn't trust anybody else to help me buy my first Porsche. I contracted Philip to perform a pre-purchase inspection on a 911 I was very keen on. His attention to detail and knowledge combined is second to none, and was instrumental in making sure that I bought a car at the other side of the country that was to my standards. Not only did he do very good background checks on the car (in addition to the standard HPI stuff he does), he looked in detail at the car, detailing the condition of the bodywork, interior, the mechanical aspects, even to the point of working out when I might need common items replacing and when I should expect to have to invest. His test drive was comprehensive and able to inspire confidence what condition the car was in without me having to do it myself. Philip also took the time to help me negotiate a fair deal, giving me insight on the market and what else might be out there, and how much leverage I might have - and also if my expectation of what to pay was sensible! In summary, I would highly recommend Philip to anyone either wanting to buy a car, or wanting an inspection on a car. He's honest, great to deal with and superbly helpful. I'd happily have him inspect my next sports car!
