I Phone up for Nissan juke on Tuesday 10th June 2025, I was assured I could come and view the car on the same day at 4pm. I made the reservation with them I will be there at 4pm and I was coming down from London, I asked whether it was 100% guaranteed that I could come and see the car at 4pm as i had a 2 hour journey by bus and train from southeast London, I was assured the car won't be sold until I had viewed the car at 4pm. As i started making my way down to the dealership at 2pm I received a call from the dealership at 3pm when I was already half way through the journey saying they had just inspected the car and found a fault and that they would no longer be selling the car. I asked that didn't they inspect the car before putting it up for sale? I was told they did but they had found this fault at the last minute. I told them I was already on my way down and already half way through the journey and I had purchased bus and train tickets. I was told by the dealer to send my account details and the transport costs will be reimbursement into my account straight away, I sent them my account details but almost 2 days later still no reimbursement from the dealer. I'm very disappointed In the dealers actions as I truly believed they were a trust worthy and honest dealer. The dealer didn't even apologise even though i was already half way through a 2 hour journey they just said we will refund you your transport money if you like. Even this they have not done. It turns out they are a ruthless, selfish and evil people working at the dealership. Buyers beware !!!!!! To make matters worst, I got a friend of mine to enquire about the car a few hours later, when he phoned the dealership they confirmed the car had been sold. Hence they sold the car to another customer even though they knew I was already on my way down to see the car. Shocking, dishonest and out and out evil behaviour, zero contience!!!!!

So, after buying a car from this guy. Was older car so did not give a warranty but got a years mot on it with no advisorys. And assurance a new cam belt has been fitted. Within the first week the power train failed. So I git the car inspected. NO new cam belt. BREAK calipers seized on one side . No handbrake. All a mot failure. And he does not communicate just says all emails passed to his legal department. So can only presume MOT was a fake as well. This guy is a con man

JAMIE STEPHEN BOVIS- Dishonest or incompetent, you choose, but be sure to be BUYER BEWARE
I visited Pickering Cars on 28.8.24, viewed the car and paid a deposit of £387, agreed that Pickering would deliver the car free of charge. The delivery never happened, I was let down at least a dozen times from September through to December, with a plethora of excuses, trailer had a puncture, driver too drunk from the night before, stuck in snow, family problems but the majority of times no communication whatsoever. At the end of October, I was unavailable for 1 month, no problem said Jamie, will keep it in storage until you are able to take delivery. On the 15th November I asked for the car to be delivered and was told that it would be Friday 22nd November. Of course no delivery, no communication, in fact no communication until 27th November ( he would not answer texts ). I was then told Tuesday 3rd December, again no delivery, in fact no communication until 10th December, where Jamie offered my deposit back which I declined as I would have still liked the car. Subsequently I heard nothing from Jamie, I then asked for my deposit to be returned by end of play on 24th December. To date I have nothing from him. My deposit was returned via my credit card company, Section 75 is a powerful tool. I thought I would do some investigation and discovered that the vehicles logbook was updated on the 4th November, and it was taxed from the 1st November, which leads me to believe that the car was sold to a 3rd party even though he was still talking to me regarding delivery.
I could not find Pickering Cars on Companies house nor any other of their trading names but I did discover that Jamie Bovis (trading as Windyridge Carsales) has fallen foul of the Financial Conduct Authority, please see following link for clarification.

I believe that Pickering Cars and Windyridge Car Sales, are both trading names of Waterside Cars Ltd of which Jamie Bovis is the sole Director. Waterside Cars Ltd Accounts should have been submitted by 31st July 2021, and the Confirmation Statement should have been submitted by 30 July 2023. To date neither have been submitted. Also Waterside Cars submitted an application to strike off from the companies register on the 4th March 2024, on the 16th April 2024 the application was suspended due to an objection by a 3rd party
