James at Porters is a very professional and courteous chap, his cars seem to be even better than described, too! Having bought a very high mileage V70 previously, when the time came for something else, I was straight online to check out his current stock - having chosen and paid for a car, I was then unsure and decided it wasn't for me (I shouldn't listen to other people!). Upon contacting James, he was very pleasant about the situation, which I appreciate must've caused some frustration, but his response to return my payment and reaction to my messages just shows the true gent he is. As I write this, I await delivery of another car from James in the morning, very confident once again, that it will be better than I expect it to be - below negative reviewers are not deserved, and those who wrote them should take a look at themselves and realise where they went wrong, which was no fault of James'! I'm certain I'll be back in contact for another car in the future.

Bought a rover 75 tourer off him low millage and gave top money for the car, had the car delivered due to covid and nit being able to travel and needing a car for work, since there have been loads of problems lots of bodge repairs to the wireing harness also poor repairs to brake pipes broken rear springs boot leaking water really disappointied, ask for his help as the car was under warranty witch is not worth the paper its printed on he asked for me to have the car trailed to his garage witch would have cost another at least £200, did nit due to seeing the scam ahead my advice advoid at all cost I've lost £2200 all work carried out is to a cowboy standard keep wel claer

Hi David, I’m disappointed to hear that you weren’t happy with the service provided. It is in the terms of the warranty agreement that you are responsible for returning the vehicle to us for any repairs to be carried out. You chose not to return the car. There were certainly no ‘bodge jobs’ carried out on this vehicle, all repairs we carry out are to a high standard. The vehicle was also MOT tested prior to you taking delivery of it. You never informed me of broken springs or a water leak in the boot all of which would have been covered under our warranty. To suggest there is some sort of scam involved with our warranty is completely untrue. You read and agreed to the terms and conditions, had you have returned the car to us we would have addressed all issues under the warranty when it was still valid.

We during COVID purchased a second car, focus estate to be precise, amazing car, didnt try to hide anything, if I found anything then james addressed it, we had to take the car back for warranty repair due to the radio antenna not being present, James had us in straight away a rectified it, sadly the radio signal is still poor but I can’t fault this guy and his cars, after all they are used cars and not brand new, I would 100% recommend this dealer to anybody looking for a second hand car!

Spoke with James at Porters Car Sales. After a brief conversation i could not find any reason to not purchase the car having only seen it online. He arranged delivery to me 150 miles away and when the car arrived it was better than i expected. I cannot recommend him enough. A friendly, very decent dealer, selling decent cars at decent prices. I would not hesitate in dealing with him again. Thankyou!

Dealt with James at Porters Car Sales, was very helpful and dealt promptly and effectively with a couple of minor issues encountered. The car is fantastic and even though i am a few hundred miles away, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Had been after a good example of this particular car for some time. I had never bought a car unseen before but in this case I trusted the dealer and he offered me a very satisfactory p/e. I was not disappointed and the car was delivered dead on time. There was a very small glitch which was dealt with speedily with no hassle. I would certainly deal with them again in the knowledge that they were a reliable company.

I purchased a Toyota hilux from James in Porters. I have to say what an amazing service I received. Any queries I had were answered within minutes and very helpful. I proceeded to view the vehicle and it was as described in the advert therefore placed my deposit. Again James was helpful at all times. I should have collected the vehicle over the weekend but due to being self employed and not enough hours in the day, James was kind enough to deliver for me. Honestly so impressed with the service I received from start to finish. Would highly recommend. Thank you once again James... Also service station is excellent, myself and family had a bite to eat when we originally went to view and I must say what a great selection of freshly made sandwiches and cery tasty too.
