I didn't end up going ahead with the vehicle from Rix in the end but I must say the communication and customer service really was great. Multiple conversations regarding everything from videos of the car, advice on finance etc. They couldn't have been more helpful and I didn't feel pressured at any point. I found a car closer to me, and in a different colour that I preferred and this was the only reason I didn't go ahead. The staff remained friendly and professional the whole way through even after I said I wasn't going ahead with the purchase.

Please do not buy from this company and read the many scathing reviews on google! I wish I did, I've had the same experience as numerous other people on the comments. They sell you a car with a million faults and as soon as you try to speak to them about it they ignore you and shut you down. One week after buying my car it was in the garage, then again 2 weeks later and the mechanic listed numerous issues that they did not declare. I contacted them as I was well within 56 day warranty and they told me this only counted as complete engine failure and they wouldn't help with anything else. Yet Becky (who should be ashamed of herself) told me that if there was anything wrong at all I could bring it straight back. I told her I was pregnant and had a young son and needed a reliable family car and she still sold me a bag of crap and it's been nothing but hardship since and I'm stuck in a 3 year finance obligation. Car is currently in garage yet again and I'm getting taxis to my night shifts at the hospital costing me even more money! Honestly my mental health has plummeted.

Excellent experience this is the third vehicle from Rix and each car has been a great buy
Beware! Rix Motor Company denies customers’ legal rights The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires that second hand cars sold by dealerships are fit for purpose, as described and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, the Act gives customers 30 days to reject the vehicle and be refunded. I bought a car from Rix Motor company and within four days the coolant reservoir was empty. When coolant was refilled the level continually decreased. I went back to Rix and they said the car needed a new water pump. However, when they replaced the water pump the problem wasn’t solved. I have many dated photographs documenting the declining engine coolant level. Because the car remained seriously flawed I told Rix Motor Company I was rejecting it as is my right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and would require the refund that Act entitles people to. They have denied my legal right and will not take the car back. They have also alleged that the declining coolant level is due to my having travelled 2000 miles since the Sept 9th 2023 purchase and/or ‘driver error’. I wonder what type of driver error would cause coolant to drain so quickly?! The suggestion is, of course, ridiculous. By denying my legal rights Rix Motor Company has left me with no option but to undergo the cost and delay involved in taking them to court while the car lies unused. This is a very difficult and stressful situation to be in. I have written this review to warn other people. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same difficulty, cost and stress. For your own good, please avoid Rix Motor Company.

We looked at a couple of Jaguar XKR at Rix Motors, and Norman was on hand to help us, getting each car out and talking through the various vehicles on display. After settling on our car of choice, we noticed a slight mark on the centre console which Norman assured us would be resolved. Having agreed deposits and part-ex, all of which handled without any undue pressure, we went for a test drive and agreed to purchase the vehicle. Collected the car the day after, communication was great throughout, and Norman is a credit to the company - and the centre console was repaired so well you wouldn't have ever known. Handover of car was great, and really impressed with Rix Motors and would definitely recommend, five star service, thanks for all your help, Mike & Jo.
Seriously poor quality cars and they don’t care. Prepare to be lied to about the condition of the car you’re looking at by the wonderful team Rix. So many issues with the car I bought I don’t know where to start. Damaged suspension, dodgy brakes, vibrating steering wheel, missing bolts to vital parts including exhaust bracket & bellhousing, corrosion to metallic parts, NOX sensor issues, damaged wheel bearing, a radio that doesn’t work.. the list goes on and on. The car should never have passed an MOT. Bought a car from these cowboys in good faith, being promised there are no issues with the car And that it’s condition was perfect. Sale was rushed and they got me to fill out paperwork without offering a test drive. When I asked for one they said they’d sort that out after but never did. Salesman didn’t seem to know where he was or what he was doing and constantly wandered off saying he’d be back in a moment. He was the same both times I had to come back to them for failed repairs. After noticing faults myself I’ve been back to them twice (all day long, 9am - 5pm) for repairs but they told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Then noticed suspension damage. They charged me for the repair of suspension arms which I wasn’t liable for. After the two failed repair trips to Rix (167 miles each way twice) and two full days wasted I decided to take it to Mercedes who were shocked at the state of he car. Some of the minor issues have been looked into by Rix but the major ones are still outstanding which they have advised they will not fix. They shrug themselves of any responsibility despite selling cars in appalling condition. 4 months after purchase I still have dodgy brakes and steering, and the “luxury” car rattles like a bus from back to front. Issues still outstanding following Rix failed repairs: - Ticking sound from brakes - Clunk/ knock sound after stopping - Severe sunroof rattle - Sunroof occasionally doesn’t close - Shaky steering wheel while driving - Shaky steering while stationary/reversing - Vibrations from steering rack - NOX fault code found by Mercedes - Severely corroded brake pipes 2x rear, 1x front They don’t offer any standard warranty which shows how much faith they have in their own cars and mechanics. They will mock you and make fun of you to your face when you report issues. They don’t take complaints seriously, giving ludicrous excuses for poor, lazy and incompetent work by their so called engineers. Totally unprofessional. They will lie about quality and condition of cars to sell them at premium prices, when their stock is anything but premium. They will ask you to remove negative reviews as they have done twice already with me. Rix responses to reviews are also completely inaccurate.

I expressed interest in a luxury vehicle and was asked to pay a refundable holding fee of £500 pending my inspection and test drive of the vehicle on the weekend as the dealership is located 4 and a half hours away from my home by road. Following my initial enquiries into the vehicle, usual checks HPI, MOT etc, I decided to withdraw my interest and I communicated this to the dealership immediately, by the start of the following business day. I requested a refund of my refundable holding deposit and the dealership has refused. This conduct is very unethical and I cannot recommend this dealership.
