I visited the Trade Centre in Rotherham, when they had their “Grand Opening”, after advertising cars at a £3000 discount. First of all, that was a load of bull. The cars were ridiculous overpriced, which made the “discount” a joke. Second of all, no one could tell us where the advertised cars were. We received mumbles and nonsensical explanations. The advertisements on tv showed cars no one could purchase. The reviews on Trust Pilot are ironically, not to be trusted. The company is having the negative reviews deleted. By Moh G | 15 Mar 2021 I would never go back to this place anytime soon as they're advertising a car with service history,I'm sorry but 2 or 3 invoices for tyres/brake pads isn't classed as service history.I purchased this car with peace of mind thinking it's got service history with it,only to find out they put a different car's service history book in my car's folder.I then contacted them countless times and received no replies,finally when they do reply the salesman is trying to compare me to his 12 year old child,why?This place is not professional the slightest and has no idea who to deal with customers especially when they know they're full well wrong.The communications with this place are non existent and I would advise anyone looking to purchase from here to think again as not worth the hassle

Don’t bother. We brought a car last year from these as*holes.. Parking break fault came up within a week, their “mechanic” said it’s a dodgy sensor. Now it’s costing us a fortune. The 7th seat was broken straight away, they left us 5 MONTHS even though we needed the 7th seat (obviously) after hassling them constantly they gave in & sent us a new seat, but what I’m wondering is how they got it through the MOT just before we purchased with a broken seat as it’s the first thing they check? Do not touch them. Dodgy company and someone dodgy must be doing theIr MOTs aswell. AVOID

Avoid avoid avoid. We bought a family car back from Rotherham Trade Cars in April, in part exchanging for our reliable 4x4, as we wanted something bigger having just had a baby. What a mistake, this has resulted in 7 months of stress, 5 of which I have been without hin the first 2 weeks the service lights were on and it cost us nearly £300 (if only we had known our statutory rights at this point). Within the first month it had broken down twice leaving me and my 9 month old stranded. The trader arranged repair but back in Rotherham at a garage of his choice and I was left with no vehicle for 2 weeks. When we collected after the repairs the garage would only give us a scribbled bit of paper to say what had been done. Within a couple of weeks it broke down again, leaving me stranded once more with my baby. We spoke with trader who said would call back straight away (early July). It's now December, we have not had that call back. We called repeatedly for several days and on the once or twice he answered he told us he would arrange further repair and get back to us. We advised we just wanted our money back as we didn't have time to be back and forth to Rotherham from Derbyshire for "repairs", plus I had lost all confidence in the vehicle. He told us it was repairs or nothing unless we wanted to take him to court. Never heard from them since. Thank god for the charge back process through our bank we have managed to get back the amount we paid by debit card (trader wouldn't accept credit card). We are still however around £1100 put of pocket, not including tax and insurance I have had to pay while the bank resolved this issue. 7 months on I am now without a car but fortunately have some funds to find a new one thanks to my bank, although lost out on the £300 repair we paid for and the £800 for part exchanging. I'm sure if the car had had no faults this would have been a better review but the aftercare service received has been absolutely atrocious, well none existent to be fair. The trader was rude, obstructive and very unhelpful once he had our money and he had sold our fully functioning part ex on. Even arranging collection of the vehicle once we had our refund was stressful and we had to seek further legal advice, taking another 6weeks. We have returned the vehicle this morning but once again, it broke down, this time in the middle of the M1, causing the motorway to be closed and adding just a few extra hours stress and worry to the whole situation. On reaching the sales pitch the trader denied all knowledge of any communications we had made since June even though he has spoken to us over the phone on the once or twice he did answer before screening calls again and has had 3 letters in the past 6 weeks which have been signed for by somebody at those premises!! All in all not only an abysmal business man but a disgraceful human being to put others through this stress and upset. Finally if you check Companies House website for Rotherham Trade Cars Ltd the business' original name (now Trade Cars Rotherham on Autotrader) they have been trying to declare bankruptcy and be struck off for several months but we have reason to believe this has been suspended due to at least one other outstanding claim against them! Probably a great service if no faults with car but definitely not when you have issues!! Disgusting behaviour all round!
