I leased a Hyundai Tucson which was advertised at a price per month with 8000 miles per annum allowance. On the day the car arrived I signed a Hyundai contract. Excited to get the new car I didn’t notice the contract was for 6000 miles per annum and not as stated by Saltmarine. The letter on Saltmarine headed paper clearly stated 8000 as per promotion Saltmarine are washing their hands off the issue and leaving it with Hyundai as I signed their contract. Bottom line, be very weary as this was no accident!

Just to clarify, i am being continually being asked to leave a review for this company, if i could leave zero or minus zero i would. Car wasn't checked before sale, had a non franchise service history which was supposed to be a Hyundai service history. Car gave trouble and only for Hyundai UK stepping in it would have been worse. Afterwards car was sent to auction with the DPF Sensor unplugged.

My wife & I called in to enquire about an Automatic, having read in various adverts of the wide range of cars available- but not particularly having anything in mind. We were drawn towards a used Skoda, upon entering the showroom. A sales person approached, was not overly helpful but went off to examine my own car , a Kia, with a view to a part exchange. . While this was going on, we wandered towards a Mazda in the showroom. While a staff member did approach us, it became clear that when I told him, his colleague was out examining my own car, he was no longer interested in showing us his range of Mazdas & sat down again! We found the whole approach “off putting,” it suggested they were not interested in us, and the final straw came when the original sales person priced our car at an unacceptably low price. We had been offered £1000 more by a previous dealer.’ Sorry Saltmarine, we won’t be back! Furthermore when we arrived back to our car, the salesman hadn’t even bothered to lock it - our mobile phones and other possessions being inside!!!

Today I collected my Kia Sportage from Saltmarine Cars. From when I first visited last week to view the car until today when I drove it home, the service was really excellent. Mark Rowney was the salesman and I can honestly say that it was a pleasure to do business with such a lovely, friendly and helpful man. Travelling by train from Bangor to collect the car, Mark collected me at Portadown station which was extremely helpful. I would also like to say that Colin Hutton, who was also involved is a true professional and it was his video recording of the vehicle and walk-around narrative that prompted me to go and check it out for myself. The world is full of unhelpful jobs-worths and so it is refreshing to meet and do business with such friendly, competent and helpful professionals. I'd thoroughly recommend Saltwater Marine to anyone contemplating a new or used car purchase. Robin Mc (Bangor)

Bought a used demo Tuscon mid 2019, December misfiring and hard to start, Injectors and glow plug problem, fixed under warranty, OK. No courtesy clean as with other Hyundai Dealer we use. This next bit is why we give it poor. decided to go back to our usual Hyundai dealer Dalys for second Service, was told there is no record with Hyundai of it being Serviced, therefore there may be warranty issues in the future. We showed the Service stamp in the book from Saltmarine, Was still confronted with no record with Hyundai. We rang Saltmarine. re this issue after being put through to the Service dept, we were asked which Salesman sold it to us, how would we remember and any how what has it to do with him. He then stated we have no records of it being serviced.. OK it is on a cherished transfer plate but was in with you for warranty work at the beginning of the year. under the Cherished plate. We have asked them to get the first retro put on Hyundais files in UK, in case the Service book goes missing as that is the only proof of the service we have being done. He then asked who sold the car to us. I explained it was not the sales persons problem but the Service dept problem as they had not followed proper procedure and registering the Service with Hyundai UK. Means if we have problems in Mainland UK we are up SH*T street as any other dealer will follow proceedure and deny warranty work. He is supposed to ring us back !!!!,, I want the first service logged with Hyundai UK. Nothing less will do.previously registered LXi 9171

Managers Garth and Colin contacted me, and have sorted all the problems with the Nissan Juke.I should have contacted Saltmairne before placing review as the problems were sorted when they first foundout about them.I will be using Saltmairne again and would recommend them to others.
