Bought an M2 competition 10 months ago and the car hasn’t been prepared to a good standard. I’ve had to spend the best part of £5000 on a brake fluid changes, discs and pads all round, suspension issues etc. The car has done 5000 miles since purchase so the MOT they did as part of prep that failed to pick the brakes up as at least an advisory is poor. The main issue is the ‘ultimate’ warranty that they flog. I had a issue within 3 weeks with the coolant pump failing, the bill was £958 and after much back and forth with the warranty company only willing to cover £600 of this bill I had to then go back and forth with the dealer to get the full amount covered. The car had been with me 3 weeks and had done 800 miles. The ultimate warranty states it covers wear and tear items which includes discs and pads (in the small print this is stated with the ultimate cover) this isn’t true as I’ve just found out. Currently waiting to see what happens with the suspension fault. I also have a leak between the engine and gearbox which will be fun when this isn’t covered either. I’d steer clear of this dealer unless you want to be paying for items that should’ve been picked up during prep or you want a Mickey Mouse warranty that actively tries to avoid paying out 👍
