A huge thanks to Luke for his great service; a credit to the dealership. I was in the market for a high value vehicle and paid a full price in a hot market. But, I thought Luke was superb from beginning to end and sorted the whole buying process inside 48hours. Saxtons sells a lot of vehicles and within that, there will always be cars that don’t turn out to be as expected. I doubt that is deliberate on Saxton’s part given the sheer volume being dealt with. I would hope that Saxtons deals with those situations appropriately but there are enough reviews to suggest they could improve in this department. Indeed, a number of alternative lenders I tried refused to accept invoices from Saxtons so I was left to their incumbent lender Santander (but it was not disclosed to me why they won’t accept invoices from them). In summary, there is no better stock out there and pricing in this type of market is going to be challenging to negotiate. The showroom and forecourt are very professional and always buzzing with activity. Clearly a successful business. But, you need to simply accept that in this environment we are in, you’re buying a car from a seasoned used car dealership and must be prepared for the Tango Dance that goes with that process. But as I say, they were superb on this occasion.
