I bought a Discovery Sport from Saxtons in September. It developed a problem with the first six weeks. Took it into an RAC garage as advised. Was without the car for three weeks in the run up to Christmas and no hire car offered. Collected it on Monday, by Wednesday a new warning message appeared on the dashboard. Took it back to the garage, they said it’s a new fault. Phoned Saxtons and they said it’s not their problem. Terrible service. Wouldn’t buy from them again. Registered dealers only for me now. Just an update on this one. Almost a month later (20 Jan) and car is still not working. I asked for a refund on 31 Dec in line with my statutory rights and still not had a response on this. Just prevarication and delay. The impression I get from the research I have done since is that if you are lucky enough to buy a car with no faults you may come away with a positive experience. However, if you are unlucky and your car has a fault, the response from Saxtons will be far from satisfactory. You will be passed from pillar to post as though it’s your problem not theirs. Also since found out the car does not have a full service history despite what I was told at the showroom. I’ve read too many reviews of people with similar experiences. Please do your research and don’t take the risk.
