I bought a 2017 Land Rover Discovery from Saxtons4x4 in January 2020. The car had done just 33k miles. I drove it for another 1,800 miles and it started to stall only for Land Rover to tell me it needed a new engine at a cost of £12,000. Saxtons claim I should have recognized the issue with the car after driving it however I had an RAC specialist come to check the car and he could not find an issue. In fact it took Land Rover specialists in Sunbury on Thames over 2 weeks to find the fault which was a lack of cyclinder compression. One of the most disappointing issues with this whole experience is Saxtons4x4 apathy. In their minds, they sold the car in this case for £39,500 and don't want anything more to do with it. Adding to this is the accusations directed at me from their legal advisors. The experience of dealing with them is just not worth it.

It’s a big mistake when you buy online car u never know all the features of car ant they never give you information about the cars features which features available in the car and which features not i buy a velar 17 reg 32k£ from saxton4><4 a velar without electric seats without front parking sensors without rear camera without electric boot open and without folding side mirrors and without central arm rest this is the so called velar what kind of car is this all I know when I going to collect my car

Purchased a Q7 early last year. To date the car has been off the road for 3 months. It's currently in a garage due to a car call back that was never done. We paid for extra warranty and on the 1st issue found out car was covered. Luckily this time it is (a cost of over £5000). Saxtons have not been interested in giving any kind of help

I was really interested in purchasing a Range River Sport HSE Dynamic from them as the pics looked great and the price seemed very reasonable. I wanted a day or two to mull it over and decided to look a little deeper into the company before I committed to driving all the way down to them from Birmingham. I came across some really (REALLY) bad reviews, plus I read that BBC Watch dog had been on their case. Then I read about a court case where they sold a similar car advertised as a 2015 when it was in fact a 2011 car (which, after it was returned to them they went on and sold it again as a 2015 car TWICE!! In the end, I bought my car locally from Listers JLR. Yes, a little more money, but 2 years warranty plus lifetime paint and interior protection etc. I’m greatful for all the genuine reviews and stayed well clear! LUCKY ESCAPE. Thank you everyone!

Made an appointment to see a salesman at Saxon 4x4 arrived on time kept waiting for about 20 minutes to half an hour! Had 25,000 cash to buy a car was thoroughly messed about by the salesman who kept going off to serve other people and take phone calls repeatedly spent 2 1/2 hours found a car we wanted sat down and done the paperwork and left a deposit was told the car would be ready in three days. We were rung two days later to be told we couldn’t buy the car as it had a faulty gearbox! Spoke to a manager there and complained about the way we’d been treated only to be run by the salesman Conrad who questioned why we complain to the manager. I changed my insurance in anticipation for delivery and had to pay an admin charge! Were offered no form of compensation from Saxon 4 x 4, an absolute joke to deal with totally unprofessional typical car dealer spivs. Beware stay clear of them and give your money to someone that shows the customer some respects! Would never go to these Cowboys again!

My wife bought her Range Rover from Saxton 2 years ago and was happy with the whole process. I on the other hand am not. I bought an S Class Mercedes from the quite amazing array of cars on offer. Since handing the money and collecting the car I have had a couple of minor issues that I would like sorted but getting them to return your call is like getting blood out of a stone. All I want is an appointment to get these issues sorted so that I can enjoy this beautiful car. My advice if you are going to buy from Saxton is make sure you have a thorough test drive and get any problems sorted before you sign on the dotted line because I’m sure they would be within hours. I’m still waiting for a phone call back for an appointment after some 3 weeks and countless calls to the dealer. IM STILL WAITING1 Dean Spicer

Don’t use them Don’t use them, I gave a deposit for a Porsche Cayenne gts and finance gone through fine, didn’t hear from Saxton more than a week even though their website advertised as car is prepped to go same day, so I called and they said there is something wrong with the car and will get back to me but again no one contacted me back so called again few days later and they said the car got big problem so I asked what kind of problem and they said they don’t know and trying to sell me some another car and I said I didn’t want other cars and I travelled long distance to come here. So I told them just give the deposit back and after so many phone calls and emails they gave the deposit back after 6 weeks :((

After many hours, visiting a variety of websites and doing my homework, I decided to visit Saxtons 4x4 Chelmsford. We were initially greeted by a lovely reception team, and was offered some refreshments which was much appreciated, as we had travelled a fair bit. The salesperson responsible for looking after me was a lovely gentleman by the name of Thom. After I had identified my ideal vehicle, He showed me through all the various features associated with my Range Rover Evoke and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. In addition he was very patient with me as I had a lot of questions! I must say this is one of my most pleasurable experiences of buying a car and I put this down to his professionalism, knowledge and lovely personality. He even took the time for a follow up call to see how I was getting on with my new car. I would most certainly recommend Saxtons and THOM who is a credit to the team! THANK YOU.
