I was after something a bit more analogue and the Mercedes 190 has what I’d call a timeless design! If there's anything I would change about it would be swapping over the 1.8 manual for the 2.6 auto. However, I can't complaint as it flow along lovely!

My Mercedes was delivered at the end of January this year (2026) and has been totally reliable. It had been MOT’d just before Christmas but I didn’t want any potential additional costs at that time of year so it was re-tested a couple of weeks ago. It failed, but only due to a couple of rubber protective boots being perished which could happen on any car whether it be modern or older and with my car being 31 years old I think that’s pretty good going. Overall I am very pleased with my car and the service I received from Kristian at Specialist Cars York.

I’m really happy with the Mercedes overall and it’s been good to drive. I’ve had a few little problems with it, which i think is because it had not been started for a while. But it is all working well now. I bought the car over the telephone without seeing it in the flesh first, and when it arrived it was as described. There were a few issues like some sun damage because it came from Japan, but I already knew about that and I’m okay with it because I can sort those bits myself. The dealership were fine to deal with and I would recommend them. The only downside for me was the wait, as it took about three months, which felt a long time when waiting for the car although i know it can take a while to get registered when they are imported from Japan. Would still give it full marks as i am really chuffed with the car!

Great communication at Specialist Cars York. I do have to say that Kristian was spot on, and the Mercades i bought has been great. I've already recommended them to others.

Bought a Mercedes from Specialist Cars York. The car has been fine overall, and I’ve had no major issues with it. I did have to replace the battery, but apart from that everything has been absolutely fine. I actually bought the car online and had it delivered rather than visiting the dealership in person, but the communication was fine.
