Fantastic personal service I felt confident in purchasing this clasic morris minor.i couldn't get down from scotland to view the car because I am my wifes carer and my trust was fully justified as the car was even better than described It was fully made road worthy and even given an mot and some repairs carried out with no extra cost It was then delivered personally at a very reasonable amount..The car has already given me and my wife a lot of pleasure and am sure it will for a long time to come..

Purchased a vehicle from Stocksfield Motor Company 26/11/19 paid 50 pound less than advertised due to a problem with a previous vehicle purchased from here. Test drove the vehicle about 5mile and seemed ok. Paid for the vehicle plus the road tax. Taking the car to Durham and it broke down on A69 at Heddon.Garage were reluctant to recover the vehicle and asked if I was in the AA or RAC to get them to recover it which I refused to do. Turns out there was water in the ECU. Exercised my automatic right to reject the vehicle as advised by trading standards. Refunded the cost of the vehicle next day. I filled the car with 60pounds worth of fuel which took 2 weeks to get back in 2x 25 litre drums, And just over a month to get a refund for the £225 car tax. Was promised to get refund of tax on 30th december {this did not happen} sent 7 text messages to garage owner Gary Miller he did not reply to one.Then got trading standards involved. The matter has now been resolved now but I will never use this garage again.Beware of false promises and poor customer service from garage owner.

The facts (what actually happened) You bought your last car from me which had an issue which was repaired under warranty by Vauxhall, The only reason I offered you a £50 discount on your next purchase from us was as a good will gesture being a previous customer, nothing more. I supplied the car in question to the previous owner seven years ago and in that time they had no issues with it. You contacted me around 8.45 pm the day of purchase saying you had broken down. As you claimed at the time to have no recovery options I returned to my place of business, gathered the key you had kindly returned to the garage and set off and successfully recovered the car back to my garage around 9.45 pm that night. I refunded your money in full the following day as this was the right thing to do given the circumstances, The issue on the car turned out to be an ecu failure which no garage in the world could foresee and by law I was entitled to be able to repair the car and return it to you. I was under no legal obligation to refund you however I did so as we treat all our customers fairly. You telephoned the following day after your money had been refunded and before I had a chance to say anything said ‘ before you say anything I know my rights and have been in touch with trading standards’ it actually took three attempts to get the message across to you that you had already been refunded’ to which you eventually apologised to me for your conduct during the telephone conversation. Your diesel was returned to you In full as soon as we had refitted a new ecu to the car as we explained at the time we had to have the ecu fitted to get the car to pump the fuel out. You sent a text to me on a Sunday morning? enquiring as to the progress of your tax refund. As you had previously asked for my word that you would receive a full refund albeit 1 month was non refundable by the DVLA I replied that it was to be actioned the following day in full at no loss to you and reassured you this would happen which of course it did. The refund receipt clearly states this happened on the Monday as promised however you obviously are not aware that the issuing bank may take up to three days to show the refund in your account as is the practice with uk banking procedures and beyond our control. I did not reply to your texts as the matter had already been resolved and the manner in which your texts were sent frankly deserved no response. Apologies again that the car let you down, however we handled the situation professionally and were more than fair by refunding all your monies and fuel.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING FROM STOCKSFIELD MOTOR COMPANY. After seeing a good looking VW golf advertised by this dealership through autotrader, similarly to another reviewer on autotrader, i decided to travel 3 hours to come and view the car. Upon arrival I was surprised to find the car dirty inside and out (you would expect an effort to be made by a dealer after a viewing had been arranged a few days prior). I asked why this was and was given terrible excuses about the garage being next to a “very busy road” which somehow affected how dirty the car was. From what I was told over the phone and what was shown in the pictures in the advert, the car was in great condition. This wasn’t the case at all. I found out that one of the owners had been using the car as his personal vehicle for what seemed to be a long time due to the state the car was in (it didn’t look like it had been cleaned in weeks, had scratches, a dent on the bumper and peeling paint on the wheels). I was told that there was 2 warning lights for the ABS and ESP (traction control) which weren’t mentioned on the advert. I also asked the owners about how they came about the car, to which they both couldn’t give a straight answer (this for me is a BIG WARNING sign that I was dealing with very untrustworthy people). The staff were very rude, to the point in which I was called “a little shit” after politely telling them i wasn’t interested in the car for the reasons previously mentioned. I wish that i would have read the reviews on here before making such a long wasted journey, as it seems other people have had similar experiences with this dealership. I hope this review helps to keep people away from this untrustworthy and horrible garage.

Bought a car off Stocksfield Motor Company last month, they were really helpful with finance and they made sure the car was up to stratch for me. I bought an 06 astra with low mileage for a really good price. I cant fault them on anything they are overall really good people and just a really good dealer that will look after you. I would definitely recommend going with them they made it really easy to buy my car :)

The service I received was 1st class from the moment I inquired about the Renault Laguna mk3 '08, until the moment I drove it home. We drove over 90 miles to view the car, upon which we were greeted with a warm welcome, offered tea/coffee and use of the washroom. The car was immaculately polished inside & out and displayed in the showroom. My partner and I took it for a test drive and it ran like a dream. I was given 12 months warranty, or 10,000 miles, whichever came first, plus 12 months mot. Car was purchased in July 2016 and have waited until now to review, as the car has given me no bother at all. Stocksfield Motor Co. will be my first choice for my next car.

Stocksfield Motor Company is a dreadful place all sorts of faults on the car which they said they would resolve but never did. Avoid this place at all costs!
