In an emergency I stopped at Sussex Sports Cars, without an appointment, to see if they could solve a binding rear brake. Issue solved in 30 minutes and I was on my way. Whilst waiting I looked over a mint MG Roadster… going back after Easter to test drive. Tony and his team were 1st class

Colin and all the mechanics have been really great. They sold me an excellent bargain 18 months ago and have supported me ever since. Such nice people, thoughtful, efficient and helpful.
Gerry sourced a 1971 Triumph GT6 mk 3 for me, very happy with the service provided. The car needed a few things done to it both cosmetic and mechanical, this work was carried out on their site. Despite the difficulties in finding parts during Covid, Colin was able to get hold of the parts and kept me informed throughout on the work that was being done. I was able to pick the car up and drive it back to France some 350 odd miles without a hitch. A happy satisfied customer.

Gerry was very good he went the extra mile, picked me up from my home, took me to Lewes to see and try the car and brought me back, I bought the car, MG td, and he delivered it to my home in his covered transporter a few days later,

They couldn't care less. Avoid Sussex Sports Cars. I left my car with Gerry at Sussex Sports cars to be stored for 6 months. The car was returned with one key missing, damp paperwork and a water stain on the carpet. I asked for an explanation given the car was meant to be kept undercover and Gerry is yet to provide one. I'd suggest you avoid this company if you want your car to be properly looked after.

Yes I've known Gerry at Sussex Sports Cars for over thirty years now! His a great guy, very knowledgeable on all aspects of classic cars. I've traded with him very successfully over these years and built up a great relationship with him. I recommend his expertise whether you're buying or selling any classic. He is a very fair man and easy to deal with, especially over a nice cup of (real) coffee in his office.

You may have that feeling of euphoria because you think you have bought the car of your dreams. The one you have been waiting to find for what seems like forever. Well if you are buying from Sussex Sports Cars , don't get too excited. I put down a deposit and was making plans for "my" new car when two days later I got a call from the OWNER of the company to say "Sorry, we have sold it to someone else". " Sorry , my sales manager sold it without my knowledge." First come, first served does not cut it with these people. If someone else offers a few more quid you will be gazumped just like the bad old days of house buying in the 1970's (you may not be old enough to remember). My advice would be to forget Sussex Sports Cars and buy from someone else.
