The car I purchased had numerous faults - costing me £7k to purchase and £2.5 to repair over the next 6months. Was non negotiable on price and warranty wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Not impressed - car was presented well but it clearly had not been serviced or maintained while on forecourt. Also had my part exchanged car for sale at almost twice the trade in price (understand a profit has to be made, but double?) Typical user car dealer - only in it for a sale, no interest in quality service or after sales.
Steve Walsh from SW Automotive in response to Steven
Hi Steven, I am sorry you feel this way. It is very unusual. I don't recall you even contacting me regarding any faults with a car? As anyone who contacts me is taken care of no problem. I would be very interested to know what car you bought, what went wrong, and why you never contacted me to ask for help or advice? I feel it's incredibly unfair to give me a bad review when you never even gave me a chance to rectify any problems. No1 has a crystal ball and things with used cars go wrong. It's not what goes wrong but how I deal with them that counts. And I take car of everyone. I must have put an independent warranty on it for you. If you had problems with them, you should have called me and I would have taken care of it. I understand you are frustrated but please get in touch and let me know what went wrong. As I've never been informed of anything. Also with your trade in, I always give the customer what they ask for their trade ins, and no1 leaves my garage upset with their trade in price. If you have asked for too little and I've sold it for double, then I can only apologise, but I will have given you what you asked for your car. Also don't be fooled by what cars are advertised for and what they are sold for. It may have been advertised for double but the next buyer trading in May have been given more for their car. It's all about prices to change. Please get in touch and let me know what went wrong. I'd like to put it right. Steve Owner/Director
Cars are as laughable as his prices. An utter joke of a garage. £1500 for an 02 Mondeo with 120k on the clock. HELLO! £600 at any other garage and its £600 of anyones money. Mercedes CLK currently for sale at £2000. Advertised as immaculate? Seriously??? Covered in rust, absolutely abysmal condition. Interior is disgustingly worn and filthy. Car is fit for scrap not sale.

Hi, I am Steve Walsh the owner of the company. Please take a look at my website and see how ridiculous this review is. The mondeo in question sold in 4 days. Guy over the moon. The Clk mentioned is also sold. In 1 week. Owner was delighted. We don't sell cheap cars. And when we do. We sell this with a full 1 year mot. A full vehicle inspection. And give them a major service. We normally break even on cars under £2000. But get people very good and reliable cheap cars. And these people come back and back. I find it hilarious the people giving you the bad reviews are the ones that have never bought a car. The people that buy cars from us. RAVE about us! Crazy! Silly silly people. If you want a cheap car. Don't come to us. If you want a cheapish RELIABLE car! Come to us. Regards Steve Walsh
Barry Smith in response to Barry Smith
That will be the same Mondeo still advertised for sale then that supposedly sold after 4 days. As if someone will pay £1500 for an 02 2.0 Mondeo with 120k on the clock.
Be aware. Based on my experience i would advise people to not waste your time or more importantly your money. The car had numerous faults, too many to mention. The mileage that was quoted was 4000 miles out on vehicle when delivered, to put things right on the car is not worth it

I am Steve Walsh, the owner of SW Automotive. This gentleman has seemed to miss out the fact that the car he purchased was a car sold WITH NUMEROUS FAULTS AS LISTED AND NO MOT! It was a 2005 Peugeot 407 HDi diesel. The retail price is £2800 for the car he purchased! He bought it from us as an mot failure for spares or repair for £600!!!! The engine alone was worth more! If you would like to buy a car for £600, sold as spares or repair and mot failure, and expect it to be a great car, then please do avoid us. As you will see via my website, we do not sell many cars like this and this one was made very clear to this gentleman of all its faults. Both on the advert AND when he viewed the car! I personally refused to go on a test drive as the car was described as not safe! Please make up your own opinion. Regards Steve Walsh

i bought a 55 plate vrs octavia off him i traded in a gti 1.8t i got offered 500 which considering damage was fair.although when finance came through i had been given only £300 ten times what its listed for when questioned about the missing £200 was told figures aren,t important which in the scheme of things arent really car also was 2k miles over listed mileage but still a genuinely nice guy that would help any customer maybe the garage he uses are at fault more than him just saying
I wanted an insignia or something of similar size due to just having a baby and needed something with a huge boot! Saw the car on autotrader for sale at SW Automotive and had a look on his website and decided to book in. Spoke to Steve and arranged a suitable time the next day. He only does viewing by appointment, but you can literally name a time and just give him a call when your on your way! Mine was at around 7pm. Pretty easy to find on the Sat Nav and from Edinburgh where I live about a 50 minute drive. He has a good set up there with 60+ cars, most of them too spec or include extras and have pretty good mileage as well. Decided to go for the insignia and part exchanged mine. Put down the 200 deposit which is common with most places nowadays. Full MOT and 3 month warranty provided and picked it up 2 days later. Steve is a too bloke and it's good to have that no nonsense from a car dealership that you always want. A couple weeks later and the car has a slight problem with the coolant. Called Steve, booked straight in to sort it out and just dropped it off today. Will definitely be keeping in touch with him for when I want to get my next upgrade. He also delivers nationwide which is also good. If you have a car in mind that you want and a budget I would also give him a call as he may be able to source it.
