I bought a car from Tim on 3rd May 2025, and found a noticeable issue with it. After running my own diagnostics I found it to be an urgent issue. My car then went to my mechanic on 7th May, and the necessary repairs were carried out. I called Tim straight away when I found the issue, and to his credit, he offered immediately and unprompted to cover the cost. He told me to get the car fixed then send over the invoice and he'll get it paid right away. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I sent him the invoice, but it wasn’t paid, and my mechanic started chasing me for the money. I called Tim to follow up — he answered and told me he’d sent the invoice to his “accounts department” and would chase it up and get it paid ASAP. But still no payment happened, and my mechanic kept chasing. Every time my mechanic chased, I tried to call Tim, as well as texted multiple times, and sent emails — all of which were completely ignored. It genuinely felt like I was being avoided on purpose, so after nearly a month of chasing with no response, I decided to try calling from a different number. Call it coincidence, but he picked up immediately. At that point, I was extremely firm, direct, and stern with him. I made it very clear I was not happy with how things had been handled and how he'd made me look a fool in front of my mechanic also. I told him I'd had enough of having to keep trying to chase this invoice and just to pay it so we can put this all to bed. I also mentioned that it's very convenient that he's picked up the phone when I've called from a different number and felt like he was ignoring me. His excuse to all this was he is very busy, always running around and hardly answers his phone. Poor excuse - Tim is very contactable if you're going to buy a car from him! I'd also mentioned I’d seen his long list of negative reviews online and that if I’d seen them earlier, I wouldn’t have gone near his business. That clearly hit a nerve — his tone changed, he got defensive and noticeably annoyed. He must be aware of those reviews to react such a way, but they all say the same thing that I've experienced with him — ignoring customers, no aftercare, broken promises — so I’m not sure why he’s so offended. Use that information to do better! During this call, he said he’d sort the invoice out right away and call me back within 45 minutes to confirm. 20 minutes later the invoice was finally paid. The only reason I know is because my mechanic told me. Tim never followed up as he said he would. On a separate note, he had also promised to arrange a good deal for a 12-month warranty when I bought the car, but just like everything else, there was no follow-up and no follow-through. I want to be very clear: I didn’t originally intend to leave this review. I had planned say thank you for sorting the invoice, sorry I got a bit heated with him and give him some constructive feedback over the phone. But since he couldn’t even offer the basic courtesy of a call back to update me, I’ve decided to leave this review instead. The whole situation dragged out unnecessarily for a month, and it only got resolved because how clear I made it that was annoyed with him and his behaviour. His communication was non-existent, his word couldn’t be relied on, and his after-sales conduct was unprofessional at best. I rarely write negative reviews, but in this case, I feel people deserve to know. Read the other reviews — I wish I had. I would have taken my money elsewhere.

Absolute rip off merchants. Ows money to us ... Avoid avoid avoid
AVOID AT ALL COST. Absolute CON ARTIST. Sold a vehicle not fit for purpose and when confronted he said well the car was reduced so it’s your problem. The reduction was done due to a condensation on the headlight not anything mechanically wrong with the car. Completely reluctant to help or assist in any way and the warranty he provided (which was set up later on after I mentioned a problem, not straight after the sell of the vehicle as it should have been) was completely useless. I am now £2500 out of pocket after paying a lot of money for a car from Tim and would never buy another car from him again. If concerned Google T H Boler Automotive, his previous company name which he changed when the reputation for this went south… He is obviously experienced in conning people out of their money and hasn’t the back bone to deal with problems… Unfortunately Tim is a bit of a coward and will also lead you on and have you thinking he will help you. Coincidentally most positive reviews appear to be of the type you can pay for online which says all you need to know. Reviews from businesses in USA etc… After reading a lot of the other reviews I don’t seem to be the only person this has happened to…… can’t be a coincidence.

I enquired about a £20,000 car - Jag F Pace. I sent a whatsapp two days ago to ‘Tim’ asking if the correct service had taken place on the vehicle for its 112k/84mnth service .. see the text chain below which ended up with them BLOCKING ME over an enquiry… do they actually want to sell cars? Absolute cowboys - I think they were to palm me off because I’m female and hoping i didn’t know what I was talking about (I also sent proof from JLR website stating that the car needs both cambelts at the 112k/84mth service which apparently this car had ‘full service history’) he said it isn’t an expensive job to do… which is rubbish because the cheapest quote I’ve managed to find for this service is £1500 BEWARE. Please see below: Sam: Please can I request more information about the Jaguar F-PACE NV16DDE listed for sale? I’d like to come and possibly view it please - can you confirm if it’s had its cambelt done on its 112k/84 month service? [16/12/2024, 20:29:50] ~Tim: Hi there - thanks for your enquiry. That’s fine to view, the cambelt is due at its next service (1 years time). Let me know if you would like to view. [16/12/2024, 20:30:12] Sam: image omitted [16/12/2024, 20:30:20] Sam: (sent screenshot from JLR website stating it needs cambelts on the 112k/84mnth service) No it isn’t? [16/12/2024, 20:31:16] ~Tim: In the trade we normally work on it being every 80,000 miles [16/12/2024, 20:31:32] ~Tim: I’m happy to have don’t it’s not an expensive job to do. [16/12/2024, 20:31:49] Sam: Both cambelts? [16/12/2024, 20:32:02] ~Tim: Yes [16/12/2024, 20:32:11] Sam: And water pump with invoices? [16/12/2024, 20:39:48] Sam Cullen: Because if so I’ll come by at the end of the week to have a look, do you take p/x? [17/12/2024, 19:53:53] Sam: I take it by the fact I have had no response today is because you’ve realised it’s not a 2 minute job & have no intention of doing it? [18/12/2024, 08:01:13] ~Tim: I’m sorry I’ve sold the car to a previous enquiry [18/12/2024, 08:01:28] ~Tim: Thanks for the rude message though 👍 [18/12/2024, 10:26:42] Sam: That’s interesting that [18/12/2024, 10:26:53] Sam: Shows how terrible the aftercare would of been [18/12/2024, 10:27:01] ~Tim: I’m lost for words. [18/12/2024, 10:27:21] ~Tim: I’m super glad I haven’t sold a car to someone as rude as you…. [18/12/2024, 10:27:30] Sam: Very professional for you to reply and tell me it’s sold 😂 [18/12/2024, 10:27:58] ~Tim: Would you rather I sent a letter and say it’s sold? [18/12/2024, 10:28:48] Sam: It’s polite to let potential customers know if something they’ve enquired about is no longer for sale… you probably sold it to someone who doesn’t realise who needed the cambelt doing full well knowing it’s an expensive job. Cowboys.
The Car Barn bid and won my low mileage (13,500) immaculate (just under 3 year old) Land Rover via Car Wow. All documents were uploaded. No response for three days only to be informed that they decided not to purchase due to Incomplete Service history. That is a complete and utter LIE. As they are fully aware Land Rover specify either one two year service or over 21,000 miles. The full main dealer service history was uploaded, showing clearly the relevant service had been done! Despite contacting them directly and leaving various messages regarding the promised collection, they have Never responded we have lost other deals that were on the table

Extremely disappointed with the Audi I bought from on the 22nd of August this year. A week after buying the vehicle a warning light came on indicating the car needed a service. This was a surprise as I was assured the vehicle had a new MOT and had recently been serviced. I took the car to Audi in Hereford so they could plug it into their diagnostics, thinking that maybe something just needed resetting. But no, the car needed servicing and they found over £1700 of faults, some of which would have resulted in an MOT failure. These were not disclosed, neither was the fact that the car had been modified, so when Audi tried to perform an update the ECU failed. I have had to replace this to get the car going again, so yesterday I had to pay £2500. The car sold to me was not fit for purpose. On top of this, with the new ECU, another warning light has come on in relation to the Adblue system. The mechanic at Audi thinks that the remap on the car was intended to hide this problem which is also going to be very expensive to rectify, with the remap being the cheaper option, meaning such faults are no longer picked up by diagnostics. So in 500 miles the car will totally stop working, and after paying out over £12,000 I will be left without a vehicle, and be facing another costly repair bill. I bought this car in good faith and placed trust the seller to supply a car that was road worthy and would give hassle free motoring for a lot longer than a week.

Trading in my Mercedes for a car at this dealership was a huge mistake, and I deeply regret it. The salesperson, Tim, was extremely unresponsive from the start. Despite numerous calls, messages, and emails, getting a simple update or response was like pulling teeth. To make matters worse, Tim blatantly lied to me several times about addressing the issues with the vehicle. He claimed it was in perfect condition, but it came with multiple problems, including faulty wheel alignment, ambient lighting issues, and malfunctioning headlights. It became clear that the car had not been properly inspected or serviced before being sold. The customer service here is abysmal. When I raised these concerns, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of urgency to fix anything. Tim and the rest of the staff obviously don’t care about their customers, and I feel completely misled by this purchase. After trading in a premium vehicle like my Mercedes, I expected far better, but all I got was disappointment and frustration. Tim constantly made excuses, from his wife being in the hospital to being "too busy" with other customers, even cutting calls short. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership, and especially steer clear of Tim.

Company committed to buy my car, even added to their website for sale but had no intention of buying it unless they sold it first. I contacted them several times and they never called back or responded to my emails Essentially, this is a scam, it is highly dishonorable and makes it extremely clear that this business is not reputable, nor professional and has no integrity. I would strongly advise that you do not use this company for any services whatsoever, as you never know what other schemes, tricks or scams they use to take advantage of sellers and buyers!
I purchased a car from Tim at the Car Barns in March 2024. It is now June 2024 and I still have had no documentation of the 6 month warranty or breakdown cover the car came with. Despite emails, texts and calls chasing this. Today, the car has a flat tyre, upon trying to put the spare tyre on it became apparent the locking wheel nut key was not supplied with the vehicle. When collecting the car we asked twice ‘where is the locking wheel nut key?’ only to be told by Tim the car did not have locking wheel nuts so there was no key. Clearly it should have come with the key. Upon calling Tim today, stuck at the roadside with a flat tyre and no key for the locking wheel nuts, he LIES on the phone and denies telling us the car didn’t have locking wheel nuts. He told us he gave us the key and ‘why are you pushing this back on me?’. An absolute joke. He sold a car without a key component and now I am stuck with a car with a flat tyre that I cannot change and he is now calling me back! Absolute joke. I would never buy from him again and urge you all to AVOID. Cannot do enough for you when you purchase but as soon as you drive off, that’s is, no customer care or service.
Bought a golf from these. What a mistake, the car is dangerous and despite several attempts they have ignored every attempt to rectify the situation. Bonnet doesnt open - which obviously means the pre sale checks were not actually done. Gearbox fault, car suddenly stops working and wont go above 2nd gear. Acceleration is severely lacking to the point right turns are dangerous. Screw in a tyre - cheers Apparently a full service history - no service book. Absolutely zero customer service. Reading other reviews, it seems to be a theme. I have had to resort to going through the finance company to sort it out. Avoid this dealer at all costs
