I went and checked the car over, and the car was blocked in so i could not test drive, based of the views online being good, i took a leap of faith, bad mistake. The car was sold to me with these issue, tyres had been changed x3 bald tyres, x2 wheel bearings failing, gear selector failing, numerous other issues, when i challenged the carmill about this, they was obnoxious, ignorant and quite vile about the safty issues, even on the mot it had no advisorys (dodgy mot) i took it to 2 impartial mot garages who listed nearly all the same issues. Trading standards informed as The Car Mill should not be operating selling such bad cars.

Same thing happened to me car blocked in! Thought it was a nice car! Got home with it. Problem after Problem! Simply put I've never had to spend so much on repairs on a vehicle in all my life. Heater matrix .front radiator. steering sensor .£1400 .water leak in boot. Paint £1200 Rust on back archies paid £9000. Got just over £13500 in it now. I would not recommend The car mill. If you do buy from here I hope your car doesn't encounter problems!!!
BE VERY CAREFUL! The Car Mill don't seem to mechanically check their cars before they sell them. A car my parents almost bought (black Z4, AV10 TVO) had an expansion tank full of an orange oily substance, which a quick Google will tell you is VERY bad. And Derek who works there is an ignorant and obnoxious piece of work. He challenged me about what I knew mechanically, and therefore why I told my parents they couldn't buy the car. And then when I asked him what he knew he said "stuff you, you're not buying the car". An absolutely appalling attitude - if he doesn't represent the views of this company, he should be sacked ASAP. I cannot recommend this place, and suggest that you inspect any car VERY closely before spending your money. UPDATE - less than 30 minutes after we refused to buy the car because of its mechanical issue, which they claimed to know nothing about, they are promoting the same car on their Facebook page. They don't appear to have a problem selling a car which is in desperate need of mechanical attention - very dishonest!

Thank you for your review, please pass on our thanks to your parents who spent a few hours with ourselves looking around the car and test driving it they are really lovely people, we don't normally respond to reviews as we feel everyone has a right to express their opinion, however we believe they must be both truthful and factual, all of our vehicles are independently inspected, mot'd and serviced prior to sale and are fully Hpi checked, valeted and carry a nationwide guarantee and can be inspected by any qualified mechanic or independent body such as the AA or RAC with pleasure, We also feel deeply offended and concerned by your remarks regarding our staff members and feel that a simple question of asking how someone is qualified to make a very specific diagnosis is quite reasonable and did not appreciate your subsequent abusive hand gestures, neither do we feel that this was a rational response even though further research by ourselves do somewhat explain these but don't excuse them. kindest regards The Car Mill

Firstly I would like to thank you for writing your review about your experience with this company we are based in London and was Going to come all the way up to the car Mill to view one of their vehicles In reading your review we have now changed our minds and you have actually saved us some time It’s a shame as we did like the look of the vehicle As you can appreciate as well safety is paramount to any secondhand vehicle Also I am a great believer in taking the advice on reviews as people do not write bad reviews for the sake of it so thank you and I wish you the best in finding your next vehicle Mark

Having bought many cars from the car mill over the years, I find this review extremely hard to believe, from my experience nothing has ever been too much trouble, and the Salesmen couldn’t have been more helpful, they even opened the garage on Xmas eve, just for me to collect my new car.....sounds like you missed out Mark, believe me lots of strange people leave fake reviews

From the moment we entered the premises we where made to feel welcome by everyone at the car mill, no pressure sales,
I purchased my 335d via glyn at the car mill. Inside the car the previous mot and advisory was left in from BMW in the advisory it stated an oil leak. Before I collected the car I advised Glyn of this finding and he assured me his own mechanic would check over the car. When I came to collect the car I was reassured there was defiantly no oil leak on the car. For my own peace of mind I decided to take the car to a specialist Bmw mechanic and he found their to be 3 oil leaks which had not been sorted out. Upon this finding I rang glyn with this information and he more or less said I was lying, I therefore got the mechanic to ring glyn direct and he still wasn't admitting anything to as wrong with the car. After a few arguments he agreed to pay the cost as fixing the car. I would strongly advise anyone buying a car to check it over first.
I don’t live in the Uk but online I saw the car I wanted advertised in Blackburn by The Car Mill. I telephoned and spoke several times to Glynn Nicholson. We discussed the car, its age, its mileage and its price and I’m sure initially he felt I was another time waster. As it was too costly and not practicable for me to go to Blackburn to see the car, I accepted Glynn’s assurances of the condition of the vehicle and decided to buy. A small deposit was (reasonably) required and a few days later I travelled to view and buy. I was met at the port by a member of Glynn's team and taken to Blackburn. It was rapidly seen that everything I had been assured about the car was correct. It was refreshing to deal with a company who acts truthfully and professionally and gives confidence that everything is as “it says on the tin”. An hour after arriving, I was driving away with every confidence that I had a genuine bargain. A tiring 12 hours later I arrived home very satisfied with the service I received from Glynn and The Car Mill.
100% satisfied from start to finish.The team were absolutely amazing.Our sales person was Mr Glynn Nicholson who went up and behind no other sales person lovely man ...and the best that I have come across.The car mill team are simply the best.I purchased a Ford Focus on 1/1/2017. I would like to recommend The Car Mill Staff for being so helpful in my purchase. I needed a reliable newish car quickly and found them to be very friendly and reliable. They prepared my car for me immediately and have assured me that they will provide me with an excellent after service. I am delighted with my car and would like to reiterate how pleased I am with my purchase.
NEVER AGAIN. THE ONLY DECENT MEMBER OF STAFF WAS THE VALETER. DEREK WOULDNT DISCUSS BUT THREATENED ME WITH LEGAL ACTION, GLYNN KEPT MAKING EXCUSES. DO NOT TRUST OR BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE

I bought a 3series Bmw I delt with Glynn when I picked up my new car he told me several times to leve a good review ha he is a joker!! I had a problem with my new car 3 oil leaks he told me this wasn't true!! The garage was a Bmw specialist.......he also told me the repairs was down to myself I only had the car a week I told him I was returning the car he said I would have to go down the legal route!!! I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR OF THIS MAN AGAIN!!!! 3 weeks to sort the problem!!! Very unhappy!!!
I have had my car for a few months now that I bought from Glynn at The Car Mill......I am delighted with my BMW!! The car was in excellent condition when I collected it, all polished up and immaculate inside. My car was missing a tyre repair kit and Glynn provided a new one, also new number plates which were all ready for me on the day I picked the car up. This is a genuine honest and trustworthy garage that I would definately buy from again and recommend to others. Thank you Glynn & Derek at The Car Mill !!
I purchased a BMW X3 2011 2.0d from Glenn at the Car Mill. It was a long drive up from where I live, but it was worth the trip. The car was just as described, and I consider it was a fair price too. Glen was kind enough to arrange to have the car delivered down to us the following week. Would recommend
