Great to see that Trade Cars Cleckheaton has just been fined £25k for selling unroadworthy cars!! Not before time either, hope they get closed down ASAP.

Me and my partner purchased a car from Trade Cars Cleckheaton on 26th August for £1090. When buying the car we were initially impressed with the customer service and they also told us that the only problem with the car was glow plugs not working. (Plus cosmetic issues such as windscreen wipers not working, window switches broken/ not working, dashboard lights etc). They lady that sold us the car was well aware we were purchasing it due to pregnancy and bringing a new baby into the family. Upon taking this car home. The issues SO FAR as as follows - Gearbox fully re conditioned and repairs Brand new timing belt and water pump Gearbox oil in the engine Engine service Cv boot Ball joint (Plus all of the cosmetic issues mentioned earlier) Overall the car has had over £1000 extra since bringing home and yesterday it decided to break down and totally stop working. It’s not safe, not road worthy and costing a fortune of which is NOT needed when expecting a baby!! NOT HAPPY!!! Do not buy cars from here!!

If there was an option for no stars I would use that. Advice to anyone considering a car from Trade Cars Cleckheaton. Don’t! As you can see from other reviews they buy the cars cheap don’t check them and abscond from any responsibility once bought. Currently I am progressing a claim to the small claims court for breach of consumer rights, I bought a car from them and on the first journey ended up being towed. Needs a new water pump, belt and possible damage to the head gasket. TCC advised on the phone to email in my complaint which they said would be passed onto their legal dept?? Based in another shed around the back maybe? Obviously I have received no response. If I could get the car to them I would demand a refund on the spot, unfortunately I have to go through the arduous process of claiming for my consumer rights and in the meantime have no vehicle for work. Fair to say they have received another complaint to trading standards.

I bought a toyota corolla from Trade Cars Cleckheaton and the service was shocking no respect to costumer what so ever and on top of that false info about car was giving definitely not recommending.

Hello all , ive had a few cars from trade cars Cleckheaton, two x type jags , a toyata celica , a Saab 93 aero . Now I’ve got an e class Mercedes’s . My partner has a new 67 plate Clio . All the cars I’ve bought from trade cars have all been fine & not had really any major problems .At the end of the day , when your not spending a lot on a second hand older car , you can’t expect it to be pristine perfect ? The Mercedes I’ve got now is a really nice motor & I’m pleased with it . It had a problem with a drive belt before I bought it , but the staff was helpful & fixed the problem before I bought it .

Had a faulty car from Trade Price Cars Cleckheaton, Their was a couple of things the car needed before I bought it. These were 2 rear tyres and a working battery. When the car was delivered to my house. The rear tyres hadn't been changed. 1 week later the bonnet lock broke and the battery was flat. I couldn't charge the battery up as couldn't get into the bonnet. Had to pay for breakdown to move the car and now 3 weeks later I have a broken car stuck at my house that I can't drive. I have asked for a full refund and been to see my solicitors. Dreadful place and caused my family lots of stress.
