Back in July I went to Value Motors and purchased a Ford Zetec. Up to now I have had no issues and the service has been brilliant. They are a really good company to deal with. Very friendly and helpful and I would recommend them for sure.

I bought a car from this dealer in 2014, the car was in good condition and ran well. The problem reared it's head when I came to sell the car, the buyer's, another garage chain discovered it was an import ! Not being in the motor trade I didn't know what this meant. I do now !!! Apparently their is a section on the log book if you know what to look for. Being an import devalued the vehicle dramatically meaning I lost half of the trade in value. The fact that the vehicle was an import was not made known to me when I bought the vehicle is very poor practice bordering on the criminal. I feel a reputable dealer should have made this known

Sorry you feel you had a bad deal, i have sold used cars for 35 years and in that time we have sold an awfull lot of used cars, more than 20,000 i suspect, some of these cars have been sent to auction to be disposed of, the value acheived has been no different on the imports and the uk cars, and ill bet the dealer you sold your car to achieved a good price for that as well, lets be honest if uk spec imports were half the price of uk cars we would all be driving them, in all my time in the motor trade i have not seen any evidence that uk spec imports are worth any less than a uk car, if you do feel the need to come back to us for a car in the future then expect a heathy discount, paul mcgee,

I bought this car for my Grandaughter just before she passed her test, there were a number of advisories from the previous test certificate which I was assured by Value Cars Of Skippers Lane had been rectified, I also mentioned the clutch which had long travel before the car moved off, I was told it only required adjusting, at first it seemed ok, however it only had a 14 day warranty which expired before my Grandaughter had passed her test, it was never driven until she passed her test, the clutch appears to be on it's way out. Certainly not a car dealer that I would recommend.

Sorry if you feel let down, The clutch is a part that suffers most with a new driver may be that contributed, if memory serves me correctly the clutch did fail some time after you bought the car and we fit a new one free of charge.
They were really quick with everything that comes with buying a car and also they have been really helpful at sorting a few issues out that I have had which I thought was great. 100% GET MY RECOMMENDATION and you could probably have been able to tell from my top scores on every question

I would like to tell everyone that there was a really nice guy who dealt with me personally at Value Cars of Skippers Lane. This would definitely make me go back there again. My son has also since got a car from there and they were brilliant with him as he had a few issues and they dealt with them straight away, could not ask for much more from a used car dealer.

I will begin this review for Value Cars of Skippers Lane by saying that the guy I dealt with was initially OK when I went to view the car, that is my first point. However this soon changed and to be honest he wasn't very good after that. We have had a few little issues after buying it, due to them telling me I had warranty that actually only gave me 14 days cover. Based on this I have to say that I do not recommend them.

Sorry for the late reply but ive just been made aware of this site, if memory serves me correct you had a rac warrenty, the small problems that you had were not covered under that warrenty (ie number plate light bulb, front number plate had come loose, ) so we did the repairs for you free of charge, sorry if you have been left unhappy but i actualy thought we had been quit helpful.
Recently i came across value cars when i bought my Vauxhall Corsa SXI and was really happy with everything i received from them, the service, value for money, sorted all issues. I would recommend them and give them full marks
