I purchased a beautiful Volvo XC60 from Wheelers with the help of Chris the sales manager. The process was very professionally handled throughout. There were some minor issues with the Volvo which was understandable for a car 8 years old, but Wheelers ensured that they were all dealt with promptly. Andy in service went the extra mile and helped enormously. Would definitely use them again.

Our car has run perfectly well over the last year, happy to give them good rating
Saw a car that I had been after for a wail. Quick call and the car was reserved. Traveled over. Saw it and bought. No hard sales pitch. Just straight honest advice. Few things needed sorting before I picked it up. All done to a high standard on collection. Now enjoying it. Even gave me a great price for my old car. Which is now sold. Chris in sales was great. Thank you Wheelers.

First of all, when test driving the car, the 'Tyre Pressure' warning light was on, which we subsequently asked about and was told that dont worry, before we take it home all tyre pressures would be correct and any issues would be fixed! Obviously i then trusted that this would be done. I then came back in to your workshop shortly after buying it as I had problem with the tyre and the door not closing properly and an oil light on the engine. This was at my own expense, driving over an hour and missing work for a few hours whilst the work was done. The door was fixed, the oil topped up (surely this should be a given before you buy a car) and the tyres were obviously not checked, but just pumped back up... So the issues of the cracked rim had not been revealed due to the proper due diligence not being carried out, every few weeks our tyre pressure was going down, this was due to a cracked rim on 3 of the tyres. I am now having to buy new wheels for an issue I believe was there already before I bought it. More alarmingly, the engine light came on recently, so we took it to Mercedes. They made us aware that a number of safety recalls for the vehicle were outstanding from way back in 2018 and 2019. One of them was for a steering bolt, and the garage told us we were lucky we came in at that point because it was completely rusted and could have gone at any moment, thus making the car extremely unsafe to drive with my 4 children in the back. Ive had costs galore because of safety recalls that should have been done or been aware of when buying off a reputable garage like yourselves. My total costs so far are £1178. Furthermore, I wrote this complaint 6 days ago and sent to your email, but have not had a response. UPDATE: Although I encountered some issues after I bought the car, they have since been proactive in sorting the issues that had arisen

Josh in response to Safety Recalls not done
This issue is being dealt with and I have to say they have gone above and beyond so far to fix the issues, and Andy has been understanding and apologetic and clear.
Bought a pickup from the commercial aspect of this dealership. The service was second to none by Tom. He was knowledgeable, not intrusive like some car sales people and made buying a vehicle an easy and stress free. The truck was ready in the time frame stated, was immaculate in and out. Would highly recommend anyone to this dealership.

We are reporting Wheelers to Trading Standards for violations of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Act 2008 and would urge any potential customers to exercise extreme caution if considering a purchase from this dealership. We purchased a black Range Rover Sport HSE Dynamic and within hours of taking ownership the vehicle permanently immobilised itself on our driveway. Wheelers later admitted they had omitted to include in the sales particulars and to tell us or indeed anyone else about the presence of a ghost immobiliser that they themselves did not fully understand nor did they have the necessary PIN codes and manuals to reset and correctly operate the system. Under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Act 2008, such an omission could result in a Criminal Charge because they knowingly omitted information that a reasonable person would require in order to make an informed decision. It appears they sought to gain an advantage by omitting information and therefore cause us a loss which I also understand could be considered a matter under the Fraud Act 2006. No reasonable person would purchase a £25,000 vehicle if told it had an unknown secondary immobiliser that could not be reset if it shutdown etc. The vehicle also lacked a locking wheel nut, so it would be impossible to remove any of the wheels to replace the tyres. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the vehicle was also clearly unfit for purpose and not of satisfactory quality. The ‘valet’ was little more than a wipe over and we had to remove coffee stains and other visible marks from inside the vehicle and a dent had appeared on the front wing that was not present when we agreed to purchase the vehicle. We asked for a refund as per our rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Silence prevailed as it did when we asked for the contact details of the directors of the business. Luckily, we were in possession of their courtesy car and so placed a Lien over the vehicle requiring Wheelers to pay what they owed before the courtesy car would be released back to them. Only at this point did Wheelers agree to issue a refund and we were eventually paid later that afternoon. No apology or compensation was ever issued, Wheelers evidently think it is ok to deliberately mis-sell, mislead and seriously inconvenience customers for almost a week. Their customer service was at times passive/aggressive and when we made our complaint the sales manager suddenly vanished, evidently choosing to hide under his desk than face up to his actions and say ’sorry’. The final joke is that when you go onto Wheelers website they boast about having 100% positive customer satisfaction yet the review system on which they rely cannot be accessed by us, so we cannot leave an honest and negative review. A word of advice to the directors of Wheelers, do you know how your business is being operated and how certain employees are damaging your reputation? if the sales manager was in my employment he would have faced summary dismissal for misleading a customer and placing the business on the verge of a criminal charge for breaking the law. Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware! Please note - these are my personal views and opinion based on our experience of purchasing a vehicle from Wheelers of Chipping Norton.

I was really not sure that I wanted to change my XC60, but when I saw the Mercedes GLC and spoke with Chris he made the decision easy. Provided a very fair price for the PX and then all of the negotiations and collection were totally positive experiences.

Today I took delivery of my lovely car bought from Wheelers, exactly a week after reserving it on line. From start to finish Wheelers’ service has been excellent. I was very wary of buying a car online, sight unseen, but Chris reassured me and patiently answered every question. I opted to have my car delivered and this was done with charm and professionalism by Dan. He rang to give me an ETA and then again patiently answered all my questions and showed me how various functions work. The car is immaculate and drives beautifully. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and would urge anyone who has doubts about buying online to have faith in Wheelers- I did and wasn’t disappointed!

In general, this is a very professional business with good staff, product knowledge and sales service however, sadly let down by their warranty and aftersales support. Buyer beware of the warranty clauses, should you purchase a vehicle from Wheelers (which I did at 24K), and should it develop a fault within the 3 month warranty period (which it did), then the buyer is responcible for a professional diagnostic check to identify the fault prior to Wheelers making judgment. The repaire was completed by a local garage under their warranty however the diagnostics cost me 60.00 which I felt was totally unjust. As per other reviews I also experianced poor afterservice following repeated attempts contecting Wheelers by phone and email - no responce via email, no call backs by phone. Warranty then expired so no further contact expected. This is quite sad as good used car dealers can be hard to find, this one was outstanding up till the fault then attitude changed. I would however stress this is not a complaint, simply an observation of my particular case and regardless of how unjust this may or may not be - its in the warranty for those who choose to read it.
