Sales people at the Birmingham Car Supermarket branch are terrible and very unprofessional. Mislead us about the condition of their car and went back on the quote they gave for part exchange. Don’t trust them as they go back even on a written confirmation. They were least interested in selling the car and no courtesy for the customers. Would discourage anyone thinking about buying from them as their customer service is pathetic.

They sold me a car that is so rusty underneath that I don't want to drive it now that I have seen it. They won't give me my my money back. They say because the car drives OK then they consider there is nothing wrong. It was sold as very good condition but its so bad I don't think it will pass an MOT. If I could give them 0 I would.

Teresa in response to Terrible, no worse than terrible.

I only had my car a week and it’s been so they say with a hydrid mechanic as it will only do 40 and the batteries need changing they never reply back and have given me a courtesy car and never reply to my phone calls

The manager sold us a car that broke down 1 hour after buying it. We (my wife and 2 young children) spent 5 hours in the car waiting for RAC to come When they eventually arrived they told us the car is no good and had it towed back to the dealer. The manager got back to me over a week later to say that there was nothing wrong with the car and delivered it back to me. The following day the car refused to start. It took over a week to get the dealership to agree to get the car towed to a Mitsubishi dealership and get fixed. Despite my NUMEROUS requests for a refund which I believe any normal individual should have been entitled to seeming that the car broke down an hour after buying it; the shady manager refused. He also made £3000 profit from the part exchange that I traded in. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE Look at other reviews on Google Wish I could give them 0 star review rather than the one star but zero stars does not exist!!!

Avoid at all costs & after just reading previous review I have encountered the same experience. The car I purchased was also put through an illegal MOT, there was a 3 inch crack in the windscreen, a huge chunk out of one of the tyres and the other 3 should have had advisories on. Two of the tyres I was told would be replaced before delivery which was written on my order and this was not done. Within 24 hours I had 5 warning lights come on the car. Again I have been constantly ignored, no responses to emails or phone calls. I have now been waiting over a week for the money I have spent on the car to be refunded with constant excuses. I was put under pressure when the car was delivered if I gave them a good review I would get 12 months free AA recovery, I'm glad I refused until I was happy with the car. This is obviously how they get the positive reviews through bribery, I wonder what the AA would think about this tactic? I will be reporting to Trading Standards along with Autospot who conducted the MOT.

Absolutely appalling service ignore phone calls, emails, and messages! Sold me a car with an illegal MOT on then agreed to get the works sorted once works had been done at the agreed dealer they are now refusing to pay out on the works! It also appears the director is currently constantly in court!!! I can see why and underhand business running with illegal activities!

"SOLD ME A DANGEROUS CAR "

Buying a car from this dealership is regrettable. I would avoid at all costs. I purchased a car and one of the wheels actually fell off the car when being driven because the wheel nuts had been crossed threaded and sheared off completely. The recovery services and two independent garages who assessed the vehicle all confirmed this was the reason for the wheel falling off. If this accident had been happened at speed I don't want to imagine the consequences. I reported this accident to the dealership on the 4th of June 2023 with all the details of body work damage to the vehicle and wheel arch plus the alloy needed replacing. There was not even a jack on the vehicle when the accident happened. Between the accident and to date the are 50 emails between me and customer services and or management and this matter has still not been resolved. I was left having to buy the alloy myself, I was eventually asked to send over all the receipts for all the costs plus a quote for repairing the body work. I was even asked for my bank details and told that the reimbursement would be made a priory, I still have not received a penny for anything and still not received the jack. Since June last year I have had to explain what happened repeatedly because the first member of staff left the business, even though customer services were copied in to my emails they pretended they knew nothing about it so I had to explain yet again, then they deferred it to a manager who asked me for the details again, he then went off sick and someone else at customer services picked it up who asked for the details again, that member of staff then left the business, and finally I asked for the customer services manager details and I so I emailed her with all the details again! The manager has not even bothered to rely to my email which just shows what an absolute circus of a business this is and how little they value customer service so I am now going through trading standards.

"AVOID WARRANTY PRODUCT"

If I could leave a 0 I would. AVOID Warranty Product at all costs! My 80-year-old grandad bought a car through CarSupermarket 2 months ago with the extended warranty which comes into effect in Feb 2023. He bought the car online and was delivered to his door therefore he didn't see the car prior to it arriving. He doesn't get out too often therefore it took him some time to realise that the car was not suitable for him and my nan due to her mobility and needing a wheelchair (the car is just too small). He has now found a new car and has rung multiple times to get a refund on the extended warranty to be told it is not them who deal with this and it is AutoProtect themselves. After both of us calling AutoProtect and CarSupermarket multiple times and being passed pillar to post they have refused the refund. The extended warranty was £550 and it states in the terms and conditions you have 30 days to cancel after the start date (the start date is not until Feb 2023) so surely we should be entitled to a full refund. After speaking to AutoProtect they have said it lies in the hands of CarSupermarket and I am now waiting for a call back to sort this out. Rest assured if we do not get a full refund I will be taking this further to a Finance Ombudsman and Trading Standards. I work in a car supermarket myself and if customers have asked for refunds on products it has always been actioned. I do believe he has been missold the warranty as they state that the car has a manufacturer warranty until Jan 2023, I have looked at the service sheets and found that the first service has been done by Mercedes in line with the manufacturer's warranty however the second service falls 6 months outside of this and Mercedes have confirmed the existing manufacturer's warranty is null and void leaving my grandad exposed to any mechanical issues.

"Worst experience of my life"

The manager and sales "team" were all passing the buck between each other always passing it over to each other with one person not taking ownership of the exchange. I took a car to exchange on the new to me car which had a full service history and was immaculate (bar as we discovered a broken shock absorber) and was told word of mouth that the repairs would be £500 and we wouldn't be able to buy the new car unless we paid it. We were goaded into the agreement and were then not allowed to test drive the car we had purchased as there wasn't much fuel and they wouldn't give us trade plates to test it on the road. After driving 2 minutes on the little estate we just wanted to get home. So went back to the office to sign the vehicle over, where we discovered the manager who handled the exhange had not entered the amount from the settlement agreement correctly, they then tried to tell me its my fault and I needed to pay them the £300 difference. I should have walked away here. But no, after being there bickering for 3 hours (including where they test drove my old car to a garage). They then made a "gesture" and wrote it off. On the drive home we noticed a terrible rocking in the steering rack when breaking and took it to bmw for a health check and egr recall check. The car was not road worthy as two of the disk brakes were warped and pitted and the engine needs alot of work. We reported this to yourcarsupermarket as soon as possible and was constantly told the old car has issues. I finally managed to get them to agree to repair the car 70 miles away from where I live back near them, after rejecting the very kind offer of £200 and we wouldnt owe the other £300 to get the £1600+ worth of work done. So booked the day off work to go get it repaired. Apon arriving at the garage to repair my "new" car, I saw my old car was being repaired and the garage. I spoke to the owner for a little and he informed me that the work was only £135 pounds not £500. This shook me as why would they then need the extra £365. The mechanic then told me he can't repair the car as he doesn't have the parts and told yourcarsupermarket that they needed to order them from dealership. He could only repair the brakes. So I left the car and went to yourcarsupermarket to complain about all these issues. I was brushed off and told the manager will be in you have to speak to the manager. So we went to wait for the brakes to be fixed. Just before collecting the old car I was informed by my finance company that the old car had been taken off the website and to speak to them urgently. So I collected the car and went to yourcarsupermarket again. I was told the manager would be here soon. We waited for 2 hours for the manager to come in. We were then spoken at and told he has bills to pay, you agreed to the £500 and that the total repairs spent on the old car are none of my business. We have to pay. He also wouldn't give us a date on repair of this vehicle and was rude and obnoxious. Just told us we would again have to bring it up or they would collect but no date given. I went home and spoke to the finance company and informed them of all of this. I decided enough was enough and told the finance company I wanted to reject the vehicle as they have not made good on their one opportunity to repair, and the coercive behaviours of the manager and sales "team" have put us off with dealing with them atall. They accepted and told me to inform yourcarsupermarket. The emails between myself and them have been far from agreeable with them adamant they still want to repair the car. But they have had their chance and shown their nature. They are now waiting for the legal team to handle this. Trading standards and the financial ombudsman have been made aware of this all and are investigating yourcarsupermarket and their behaviours. Do not deal with them, they are manipulative con artist that will happily bend you over a barrel to get more money out of you.
