To be honest, I was apprehensive about buying a car because of all the negative reviews I have read about Poolstock. But all credit to the guys who run this business - I have a lovely car from them which suits my needs exactly. I would certainly go back to them again and feel that they have been unfairly criticised in some quarters.

Went to buy an Audi a1, battery dead, spring broken on suspension and water leak. Yet selling the car as immaculate. They said they’ll fix it before buying the car. Left a small deposit and they sent it for MOT. 5 days later MOT was done and apparently broken parts fixed. To be honest by that time I lost trust in the dealer, they’re selling shoddy cars as immaculate. Their salesman think they’re clever when you can see through their B*ll. god knows what else they did with car when they had it for 5 days. Never trust a dealer who can’t sell you a car as advertised and you can drive away the same day.

Deserves a zero, worst car sales I’ve ever been to. Guy was more interested in finishing his lunch than attending to his customers. 3 very unhelpful staff, extremely rude and tried to get a sale through lying. Ended up walking away, reading through the reviews it seems I wasn’t the only one this happened too. When questioned 2 illegal tyres, I was met with a rude response and basically told that was why the car was priced how it was!

Went to view a car yesterday. Had rang previously and was told until after 12th April couldn’t test drive due to COVID. Called in yesterday was handed the keys so I could look over the car. When I asked for a test drive was told they are limited to the amount of test drive allowed due to COVID. Unless I was prepared to say I wanted to buy the car and agree a price that I couldn’t test drive. Also the car was advertised as 1 owner from new only to be told it had 2 previous owners. After reading all the awful reviews decided to give this company a wide berth.

Absolutely shocking car. Rubbish and rude service. They had it for weeks on end on multiple occasions supposedly sent it to experts "brake fault" on the screen and stuttering turns out the electric handbrake had locked the back wheel on (which is what I said it was from day 1) said they could extend the warranty to help but the warranty is useless it won't cover it and doesn't seem to cover anything tbh from the laundry list of issues we've had. Most garages when I ask if they work for them (after the warranty company recommends them!) they say no because they don't end up paying them. The garage weren't interested now we've finally got to the bottom of the fault so they've had me and my pregnant wife driving around in what the mechanic has described as a dangerous car. This fault has been there since the day I collected the car. It had an MOT that day so would love to know who tested it must have been Stevie Wonder... AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I bought a Citroen Xsara Picasso from here for £1500. Looked and sounded good, but one of the wing mirrors needed fixing. They told me they would put new MOT on it and would re-bond the mirror. I picked the car up and when I got it home I noticed that there was a really untidy black painted weld on the sill and the wing mirror had a screw in it to secure! I paid £200 to have the weld sorted out, because it was such a bad job. I have now put the car in for a service and it's going to cost me another £900 for additional work. I've had the car a month! I haven't even got the log book yet and it's cost me almost as much as I paid for the car in repairs. Do not buy from here unless you know something about cars and have gone over every inch of it.
