Very happy with the overall service received from start to finish. Was kept updated on a regular basis, and when looking around the cars on display, we were lift to look with no pressure. A very pleasant car dealership and would be happy to deal with them again and recommend them to others.

Hi bought a car from James , Aim cars got two years warranty on car paid a xtra £200 to cover parts ect ,on car for this with one years AA , my car breaks down my car needed parts ect so I phoned up warranty people they tells me they don't have a warranty so I thought I must not have no AA either under my name ,I said you must as I have the booklet here ,the receipt to say I am covered they said no such thing, I then phoned James he was never there to answer ,finally a few weeks I gets him ,tells him about it he tells me he has changed warranty companys I said well I have the booklet here ,he then says he is sorry for not getting back to me sooner to send invoices to him so I emailed them to him ,he never replied back to me January 2021,by this time I had no car ,as I was waiting for him to get back to me I had to borrow money to get the parts , I sent him a letter with invoices, recorded ,rang him loads of times ,kept getting someone else in the office ,then to answer, machine, then everytime answer machine I emailed him several times I am still awaiting for him to contact me. Be careful of this car dealers, they are not genuine reading the reviews from others having similar experiences , something needs to be done ,I am now in touch with consumer rights

Aim Cars from Aim Cars in response to Miss sold warranty

Hi, we apologise you feel this way, 1. We can confirm you did have a 24 months warranty and all of the relevant paperwork was emailed out to you. 2. We can confirm we did receive your invoice for a clutch, however after 16,000 miles and 12 months a clutch is not covered under a warranty due to being classed as a wearable component, and we notified you of this. Even on a Brand new vehicle and that time scale and mileage a clutch would not be covered. 3. We apologise you was going through to voicemail however during that period we was in a national lock down and since we are classed as a non essential business we were forced to close and tried to contact you upon going to the office replying to voicemails + Emails - 4. Customer satisfaction is our upmost priority and we endeavour to try and do our best, however in some circumstances we simply cannot cover parts on vehicles that are classified as wearable components. 5. Please contact us on relevant contact number/ Emails, we are more than happy to offer a good will gesture towards your repairs. Kind regards.

I purchased a Suzuki SX4 less than 1 month ago, after discovering a problem with the brakes and upon taking it to the garage I also found that they sold me the car with a snapped suspension spring. I have tried to text, call and email with absolutely no reply. The guy also hasnt replied to me when I questioned about when I would receive my new log book, he also said that he would cancel the tax on my previous car for me and never did that either. My car is still under warranty and under my statutory rights he should be fixing it or atleast contributing but wont even reply to me. The sale was rushed and I didnt have a chance to look through paperwork or anything as this is the 1st car I've personally bought so feel like I've been taken advantage of. Avoid like the plague.

I’m not sure this is a very fair review for this dealer, a suspension spring can break at any time, this is not the garages fault and for a log book you should of taken that up with DVLA! You could of asked to see the paper work like I did and they had no bother letting me look at every bit they had for the vehicle I purchased, no pressure sales and left me to look around in my own time!

I can't fault the experience of purchasing a car from AIM but the after care leaves a lot to be desired. Having taken the car for a service the week it was bought in order to take on a 5hr road trip it turned out to need way over £1300+ worth of work done on it to make it road worthy, including a full new exhaust, 2 CAT converters and a new spare tyre as flat - all items that should have failed an MOT yet they signed off an MOT the day I collected it, effectively they gave me an illegal MOT - on top of 4 shock absorbers, full fluid changes, timing belt and fuses needed changing. Unfortunately, due to lockdown and needing the work to be completed straight away the work wasn't able to be done by AIM. Since paying for all the work to make the car roadworthy. AIM agreed to contribute via my contacting the AA, previously they ignored my direct email. The AA were great and mediated between us, however AIM felt they only needed to contribute £250 towards a massive bill. Which is unacceptable considering the state of the car - I wouldn't recommend purchasing a car from AIM unless you are able to take an informed person to check the vehicle over first as you can't trust it will be safe or road worthy.

Aim Cars from Aim Cars in response to Take your chance!

Hi,We are sorry to hear this,,,covid has put considerable strain on us,having to close for 3 months, and we would like to apologise for your experience. All of our cars are sent to an independent mot centre, and carried out completely unbiased. We didnt get the opportunity to inspect the car ourselves and the work was carried out without our authorisation. After speaking with the AA ,and to the MOT centre in question,we feel the garage you took it to were possibly looking for work not required. The AA suggest our offer of goodwill you accepted, then changed your mind.Once again we apologise for your experience and appreciate your feedback.Kind Regards

P Nicol in response to Take your chance!

I agreed to the small offer you made as some money back was better than no money back after you had advised the AA that you weren't going to contribute anything. Then I could follow up and investigate trying to gain a more suitable contribution offer from you, which you have chosen not to do. You are right, you couldn't inspect the car, you were closed and I needed it fixing as I swapped a car in working order for a car that was technically un-roadworthy and dangerous. I trust my local garage unlike how you should maybe trust yours and I don't think they were "looking for work" they don't need it as they are always super busy because they do a really good job everytime! I also don't think a full exhaust system, 2 CAT converters, a repaired spare tyre (due to it being totally flat) and 4 shock absorbers that were we're all broken would be classed as unessential work.....nor work that should have been done before issuing an MOT certificate. Maybe you should be checking your independent garage as they shouldn't be issuing MOT certificates for vehicles that need this much work! It's such as shame as overall I couldn't fault my purchasing experience and initially I sang your praises but the follow up has been poor, agreed covid didn't help but you haven't helped yourselves thereafter nor has you customer service given me reason to recommend you unfortunately.
