If you are asked to enter into a Sale of return deal, don’t do it. My van was sold to a regular customer of Kerrs for an auction site. They didn’t want to pay me, I went to Kerrs and spoke to Rob who is a great asset to them. Yet the owner Mr Simon Kerr is a rouge, typical motor trader rip off merchant, on the £56k agreed he short changed me £1k. It’s not the money more the principal take £55k now or wait another week. I have spoke to Mr Kerr senior who said he would look into it but this is just lip service. I have emailed the buyers a local internet based auction site about the outcome to make them aware and say I have other items for the van but they have not reply and I can only read into that with the lack of silence. My advice steer clear of Kerrs

We have been waiting 4 months to have problem with a brand new motorhome kontiki 650 which cost £90,000 The lack of customer service is appalling, Natalie is very obstructive and defensive, my advice to anyone it steer clean of this company it would be safer option to buy from a campsite down the road, you have no warranty if you live miles away you will need to take back there, so if you live far away they will not collect vehicles or pay for repairs, we are having to get solicitors involved now as they have already had £60,000 from us already, BEWARE, STAY CLEAR!!!

I totally agree with all the negative reviews written here. Appalling customer service, camper sold not fit for purpose and in some cases dangerous and warranty not worth the paper it's written on, as it doesn't cover issues experienced outside of the UK. Avoid Alan Kerr Paignton at all costs

Bought an 11 year old VW Autosleeper from this dealer. I considered the price to be a fair dealer price. Within 2 days ABS warning light came on and front strut top mounts were noisy. Both faults fixed without quibble. After 3 weeks EGR valve failed and took the ECU with it whilst I was in France. Had no option but to pay for repairs myself and to worry about the bill when we got home. Rang warranty provider who flatly refused to cover the fault "as it happened in France and our warranty is only valid in UK" Soon after getting home a glowplug failed triggering a dash warning light. Dealer repaired without quibble. Have now been refunded the full cost of the EGR and ECU repair by Alan Kerr. So whilst we have had a few problems with the van the dealer has been very fair and picked up their responsibilities. A good dealer let down by the warranty company.

Excellent service from the sales team from start to finish couldn’t fault them . My issues began when my motorhome went in for its first habitation service and warranty work . 5 months later I went back to pick my van up only to find they had lost a set of keys to the van . The response I got was not what you would expect we didn’t have them and that I would have to pay towards a new set of keys which I didn’t lose ! Needless to say the issue is ongoing and legal action will be taken . I would not use this company nor would I recommend the service department to anyone as they don’t take responsibility of anything to do with your property whatever happens it’s your fault not theirs !! This is not aimed at the sales or handover of the motorhome first class service in that department and would highly recommend . This is solely aimed at the Aftersales side of the business unfortunately .

I bought a brand new Swift 340 motor home £48000.00 from Alan Kerr. Its finish quality was appalling. They delayed and were obstructive in having the vehicle in for warranty. The warranty repairs they did broke again after 3 weeks use (most serious being habitation door lock which wouldn't open and failed twice. They refused to repair even after recourse to Swift, who though at least friendly carried no weight. (their product is awful - the standard of finish pitiful). They carried out a Fiat recall to starter. The cowels and covers on the dash were ill-fitting after the recall. Their attitude is awful, obstructive, unfriendly (defensive) and this record of dishonesty goes back years as witnessed by Daily Mail and Herald express articles showing peoples desperation and inability to receive fair and honest treatment.
