DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP – if that’s what you can call them! I brought a Mercedes GLA over the phone via auto trader from Approved Cars Limited, when I arrived the sales executive that sold me the car and had arranged my handover had given the keys to another executive to deal with on the day, I only found this out once I had arrived. The new sales executive didn’t have the answers to my questions and was simply just handing over the keys, however the car was not cleaned when I arrived that bad it had cobwebs on. I agreed a £75 discount and to get the car cleaned myself. After continuing the handover to the inside of the car I noticed there was missing specification which was on the auto trader advertisement, I agreed that it didn’t matter and I would still take the car. Car taxed, insurance swapped handover nearly complete, I notice the car had no fuel in, the fuel light is on, I then start to question with the sales executive what was actually done prior to my collection and if the Used Car Check / Service was even completed. Please bare in mind at least £25 fuel is a normal requirement. The sales executive is the only one on site therefore cannot leave the premises so I drove down the road to the fuel station to fill it up and drive home, I put £50 worth of fuel to only find out when the engine was turned back on there were tyre pressure warning lights. I instantly drove the car back to the dealership which was only a matter of seconds away and told them that this is not acceptable and I am not taking this car today due to the disgraceful condition they thought was ok to sell a car. After leaving the dealership and with thought I decided to fully cancel my order as I couldn’t trust this dealership, it was a shambles. After trying to request my money back that I was due with much hassle 2 months later I have now only lost £10 insurance swap difference and my mileage / time to the dealership. However I stress hassle with my refund, I have had to fight on numerous occasions via email for the refund of the fuel I put in the car, as well as the Tax for the car because DVLA only refunded me 11 months. This dealership is unprofessional, despite telling the sales manager, James Clement, my correct name still continued to use the wrong name to address me, they hardly ever have an email signature I had to pick this up with them to find out who I was actually talking with. Overall, incompetence, completely ruined my experience of a new car for myself, very stressful, has taken 2 months to sort and I’m still out of pocket, and not one manager picked up the phone to apologise!

Within a week I had to spend another 1000 pounds on suspension parts even tho it apparently had a fresh MOT done the day I picked her up a scrap car would of been safer 😞

I recently brought a absolutely Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid from Approved cars & Finance haven't stop grinning since that day and even struggled to sleep that night cause all I wanted to be doing is crusing. petter was very patient with us through the process and never put any pressure on us we are very thankful . I've never met such a nice guy who went above and beyond to get us this car and would highly recommend Approved cars & finance to anyone so if you want a high quality car and service go and see Petter you won't be disappointed. So I bought a diahatsu foretrak off this company and they took weeks to deliver it and didn’t even attempt to communicate with me throughout the process. After two week I received the car and took it to a garage because their was an oil leak, when inspected their was serious corosion leaving a large sized whole within 30cm of the main support effecting the strength of the structure, on top of this my break pipes were severely corroded and leaking, along with that I also had a diesel leak and even more rust around the mud flap making it unstable. So I decided to get a professionals opinion and they said that the car is dangerous to drive so I emailed the company the problems were having with all the evidence of what was wrong and in return they said well we’re going on annual leave so now I’m £5800 down with a unsafe vehicle £280 down from tax and £100 down from changing my insurance over. This company has finished me off and made my mental health so much worse than it already was and I would greatly respect an apology and a refund for the car.

Att: Wesley & Alan Price I have just been reading through your review & feel that I need to make it very clear that what has been mentioned within your review hasn't come across the same as the situation happened or ended. You initially reserved the Diahatsu Fourtrak after a complete video was sent to you via WhatsApp and after quite a lengthy discussions of history and what had been completed due to the previous MOT failure. I also sent you all invoices confirming that the work had been completed and you then went ahead and left a deposit. I kept in contact all through the process because I called you 3/4 days after you left your deposit say the car had gone through our workshop and we had noticed an oil leak from what we suspected from the Sump area and we needed to investigate as we didn't want to deliver a car over 190 miles away and nearly 4 hours away for you to find an issue later down the line. On delivery 10/11 days later which allowed for us to prepare and rectify the issue, you called saying you had a problem with the underneath and that you had taken it to an Indepandant garage to be checked. YOU then accused us of being and to quote:- "I have also informed the bank of the situation and is now proceeding to the fraud department to claim my money back. I also have sent you the documentation that i have sent to the bank, there is no way this passed a mot as you will see in the video. I have been informed to inform the DVSA of the issues and have an independent garage mot it' while the inspector from DVSA is present. I would like a full refund of the purchase price" You personally arranged & carried out the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) yourself whilst it was Independantly MOT'd in front of a DVSA Inspector. Approved Cars Ltd received confirmation that the car WAS FULLY COMPLIANT and there was no problem or any issues with the MOT that was carried our prior to us delivering the vehicle to yourself. You have written FALSE information and put reviews which doesn't reflect the FULL SITUATION, made Slanderous & Liable accusations which are damaging to us and puts our Company in a VERY bad light. So can I ask you to remove or amend the reviews as this is all very good you putting reviews up BUT Not to then re visit the same reviews to update so our customers that look at them believe we have done nothing and treat customers the way you have said which is COMPLETELY NOT THE CASE. I look forward to an update review and for this to be removed. I have put this back as a reply so there is no hidden agenda to anyone who reads your review and can hear our side to explain and they can see both sides and how hard we work to get things right and that a review like you have left takes everything away from what we strive to achieve to do for all our customers and comments likes yours doesn't help any Independant Garages Whatsoever. Me and partner have been looking for a car for a long time an we literally found our car right on our door step! We popped in on the off chance they would have the car for us ! An we was greeted by Peter he was very helpful on giving us lots of information on a particular car. Gave us keys so we could have a look inside the car went for a test drive aswell, after test drive we sat over a coffee a decided we found our family car! I'm glad we popped in great service.

I purchased a Renault Clio just three weeks ago and have been extremely disappointed with the complete lack of customer service. I have regularly written, emailed and called requesting the 2nd key which wasn't given to me on collection of the vehicle. My three favourite excuses are, 'it's in a safe', 'my colleague is out at the moment' and 'I've just arrived in, I'll leave a postik note on his desk'. I personally hate the experience of buying cars and it's due to dealing with companies like Approved Cars Ltd. If you have the opportunity, just lease a vehicle. Do not purchase from Approved Cars Ltd. Any money you feel you're going to save isn't worth the hassle of dealing with this organisation. I can handle the service light on the dashboard not being switched off after its PDI checks, and the poor state of the internal interiors, but being ignored when all that's required is to put a spare key in a envelope and send it to the customer is lazy and ridiculous
